Following fears Wednesday that a Dallas County deputy had contracted Ebola after being exposed to the first victim of the disease within America, reports Thursday have put those concerns to rest.

The man identified as Sgt. Michael Monnig had complained of symptoms associated with the deadly disease upon arriving at a Frisco, Texas, health clinic earlier this week. Results of testing came back Thursday and, according to developing reports, he is does not have Ebola.

“Mr. Monnig’s condition is good with no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea reported,” a Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital statement affirmed. “His current condition is not consistent with an early stage Ebola diagnosis.”
