We’re used to seeing Vice President Biden or one of the president’s advisors or cabinet members on the couch in the Oval Office. We’re certainly not used to seeing such an unabashed example of child’s play. Or possibly a purely innocent expression of blah-blah boredom.
Take a look at this precious picture taken recently at the White House, and you can quickly see why it’s fast making its way around the web. The young fellow who hurled head-first onto the furniture was the son of a departing Secret Service agent who had come with his wife to the Oval Office for a “fare-thee-well” from the president. Apparently, face time with the upholstery held more interest for the youngster than the opportunity to spend some face time with the Commander-in-Chief.
The photo was taken in June by White House photographer Lawrence Jackson and later posted on the White House’s Flickr photostream.
