After the shellacking taken in this year’s presidential election, will we ever see another conservative president? In the past, I have opined with great optimism in this space about the strength of the “farm team” of courageous conservative leaders — men like Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal, Paul Ryan, John Kasich, Rand Paul, Bob McDonnell, Scott Walker and Ted Cruz; and women like Nikki Haley, Susanna Martinez, Sarah Palin, and Deb Fischer — whose ascendency gives dispirited conservatives hope for the salvation of the Republic in the years to come.
After this year’s election, I no longer believe that even the bold leadership of these officials and former officials will be enough. If America is to continue as we have known it, some fundamental steps must be taken to reclaim the nation that once was a shining city on a hill.
Step 1: The borders. Republicans should stop pretending they have any chance of out-pandering Democrats on the issue of immigration. No further talks should be undertaken with liberals about “comprehensive immigration reform” until there is an enforceable system of border control between Mexico and the United States. Call me racist all you want, but every American with anything functioning in his or her cranial cavity knows that our southern border is an open invitation to criminal elements ranging from violent drug dealers to international terrorists.
Step 2: Education. Abraham Lincoln famously said that the philosophy of the classroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next. The generation that just re-elected the most radical president in the history of the country has proven that adage to be true. The time has come for conservatives to step up and run for state and local school boards, as well as university regent boards. Conservative patriots with the financial means to do so must begin to fund scholarships to educate the next generation of journalists, college professors, lawyers, judges, and other public officials. The only way we will bring social and fiscal sanity back to America is to counteract lies with truth.
Step 3: The news media. The rise of talk radio and the Fox News Channel has shown that Americans are hungry for voices other than the standard “progressive” claptrap that has emanated from the ivory towers of Manhattan and Washington, D.C., at least since Watergate. The next time a major news media entity goes up for sale, billionaire conservatives should step forward and buy it — and then start reporting the truth.
Step 4: The culture. Over the years, we have seen some relief from the sewage that regularly flows out of our entertainment industry. Despite Mel Gibson’s tragic personal meltdown later on, his “Passion of the Christ” was one of the biggest hits to come out of Hollywood in decades. CBS’s “Blue Bloods” is a Friday night TV hit enjoyed by millions of tradition-minded Americans who like a little action along with a depiction of some solid family values. The show depicts a family of cops who love each other, their wives, and their community (and who actually say grace over their Sunday dinner. Imagine that!) We need more “Blue Bloods” and less “Two and a half Men,” but we will never get there without more bold traditional conservatives with clout in Hollywood.
Step 5: Last, but far from least, America needs spiritual revival. For the last one hundred years — beginning with Woodrow Wilson, continuing on steroids with FDR, and culminating with the election and re-election of Barack Obama — government has been our god. Stating the antidote as plainly as possible, God must once again become our god. Does that mean that God wants a Republican president? No, but I think He would be pleased with a humble leader who believes in liberty and who acknowledges that God, not government, is the answer to our problems.
Disaster surely awaits us if we continue in the direction we are now headed, and change will not happen next year or in the next election cycle. What is as certain as tomorrow’s sunrise is that we will not see it happen at all if we do not take the first steps down a different path than the one we now tread.

You claim God is what will save us. God must first be defined and understood before you allow an entity to take over a country. Every Christian questions (as you do) “Where is God why is he not doing anything” and wonders why their prayers are not answered. Christians pray to Yahweh (YHVH) is the God of Abraham, the God of Israel the god of his chosen people are the Hebrew Israelites of Jewish birth known as the Jews. If you are not Israeli a Jew or give your life to Allah and are a Jihadist you are praying to a God that does not know you. When a person becomes a Christian they “choose” to “believe” in “blind faith” (delusion) the religious propaganda written by King Josiah’s in 642BC. The Kings people were down and beaten so he had his scribes invented tribal propaganda and they wrote what is now known as the first 12 books of the Old Testament of the Christian bible. Yahweh was/is a God of hate and war against all who opposed God’s chosen people…the Israelites. If you are a seeker of truth and peace you need to stop praying to a Jihadist God of war and hate that is the protector of his chosen Hebrew people. If you are not Jewish Hebrew or Jihadist…you have no “flying man in the sky” God at all. Now you understand why God is not working in your life, YOU DON’T HAVE A GOD. If written today the Old Testament propaganda would be known as a Grimm’s children’s fairy tale. It did work to empower the Kings people. Sadly it has become a religious delusional belief and has created the Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Muslimism (that Hitler followed exclusively) which are all bigoted toward themselves. Christian belief proclaims hate, war, death and eternal hell against any and all that are not of their faith…just the way the King wanted it. Is this truly the story book we want for our children? Is this 3000 year old blood shed what we for our country? I sure as he11 don’t.

I see and hear people saying we must turn to God for our country to be saved. I would like to hear how this is to be so I can also stump for the God rule program too. I try to imagine how God would accomplish this? I envision everyone turning around and facing God and letting God take over. Then the vision ends. Would someone please explain to me what happens after we all turn to God? Because God can only be envisioned I am trying to envision how this will work?
I truly can’t see how God could take over as our government because I understand him to be a spiritual entity that is not in a physical form that we could put in an office. I assume believers are proposing a total Theocracy or Ecclesiocracy where people that are in charge of Gods will oversee what he wants done for America and the people. Obviously there would have to be some changes made and I wonder what they would be?
1. I think the first most notable change is that we would have to be converted into a total Dictatorship. There would be absolutely NO voice or back talk from the people. Such behavior would result in death. There would be no more law. Only the divine will of God.
2. God would provide for everything. The people would be given what God deems we should have. Those that are guided by Gods word would give those things to us.
3. There would be no need for money or any commerce of any kind. So we would no longer work or invent. We would be required to pray and give reverence and thanks to God 24/7 for all the things he is providing for us. I am not sure how happy we will be with a couple of fish and some bread but I guess we can find out.
4. All physical pleasures would be an abomination. Foods would be for nourishment only, sugar and cream would be a sin. All sexual pleasures would be an abomination. Procreation, when and if needed, would be given by permission only and over seen/watched by those that were told by God who should procreate. There would be no acts of enjoyment allowed.
5. The gold, silver and sapphire city and castle of God that is in the heavens would have to be duplicated here on earth. I assume that Gods powers only work in heaven, so it would take the people to provide all the materials and labor to build this place for the people that hold Gods word to live in. Only Gods chosen army would be allowed within these walls.
As a bit of a heathen and not link with God, I’m sure I have been way to lenient in my interpretation and that the men of God that will be in charge will have many more rules far exceeding anything I can come up with. I don’t have God telling me what to do but they will. I was on my own working on this and I don’t know that much about God and religion other than what I read in the Bible. So I would appreciate any insight as to how close I am in this new God rule plan to take over America. I would imagine the Vatican would be a good place to start looking for adequate over lords for God for the new Godly America.
I will state the word that many columnists will not: The 2012 elections were RIGGED; from the presidential election down to state and local elections. I have been saying for almost two years the fraud that occured in 2010 was just a rehearsal for 2012, and I was right. The fraud was widespread and boldly committed.
Here’s the type of complaints received to-date.
1. Voting machines already marked for obama when the voter presses the start button.
2. People choose Romney but the machine registers a vote for obama. Repeated attempts to correct the vote to Romney are unsuccessful.
3. Problems with voting machines considered to just be “temporary glitches.”
4. People going to the polls to vote being turned away by election officials. The officials tell them “You already voted.”
5. More votes cast in some precincts, and sometimes entire counties, than the number of registered voters.
6. More votes cast in precincts and counties than the number of voting age adults, whether registered or not.
7. Some counties reported more votes cast than the total population of that county.
8. Multiple precincts reporting absolutely no votes for Romney at all. Other precincts reporting less than a dozen votes for Romney. Both conditions statistically impossible.
9. Reported results DRASTICALLY different from exit polls. Granted, exit polls are not official results but they are usually not far from actual results.
Florida tried to purge its voting rolls of deceased people and the federal government did everything in its power to stop it. I wonder how many of those deceased people voted.
Several states enacted voter ID laws. Was is it REALLY a coincidence that obama did not win a single one of those states?
Conservatives will not win until integrity is restored to the voting process. This starts by returning to paper balloting for all public elections. Other countries have already returned to paper balloting, citing some of the reasons just described as their justification.
The voting process in the USA now has a drastic problem. It will require a drastic solution, not a Band-Aid.
We need a Conservative Party as the GOP has become a membership for gutless losers. Where was the RNC when all the election abuses were reported? Why didn’t the RNC challenge States that had Voter ID laws on the books but didn’t enforce them? Why hasn’t the RNC or ANY Republican in the House OR Senate gone to the Supreme Court about Obama declaring and changing law by edict? After all, the Supreme Court was meant by the Founders to stop UNCONSTITUTIONAL Laws and Actions by the Legislature and any branch of the Central Government. Now the Executive Branch, including all Cabinet Departments passes laws (called regulations with penalties) with impunity. Where are the Republicans in the Legislature, who should challenge ANY Lawmaking by a branch of the Central Government and the Unconstitutionality of passing THEIR only responsibility off to the Executive Branch? My guess is that they don’t know the Constitution that ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES take an oath to protect and defend. I am tired of the only other choice we have being DemoNcrap Lite. Marco Rubio for President, Bobby Jindal for VP.
WE THE PEOPLE let the country erode to a bastardized American form of communism. Except that true communism is in place through honest up fount this is what we are government. The new American communism is CON-unisim but belief will not allow most people to see it. The most startling of all to me is the takeover of the DOJ and the Militaries continued support of a government they know is not constitutionally based anymore. Voting is a sham and no matter what we do it will not matter anymore. If forced the Obama-nation of present or of next generation will simply use EO and rules of law to freeze government in place if need be. The Constitutional Republic experiment is over and we allowed it to fail. Look no farther than where you are sitting for the root of the problem.
I heard about a country that enacted a government for the people and wrote a Declaration and a Constitution to control the new government so the people did not live in tyranny. They call it a Republic with We The People living there. I wonder if our “little people corporations” that are government chattel that live in the NWO Federated bank owned United Nations North American Union Agenda 21 Con-unistic country of ObamaNation would enjoy an experiment like that?
We might have seen a conservative president if one had been selected to run. The neo-con party is not conservative, or small government. The rhetoric spouted by the so-called “republican party” politicians is belied by their actions once in office.

As for Daniel Noe’s assertion about there ever being another conservative president. I don’t know who I would call the last true conservative president; maybe James Buchanan. One thing is for sure though, if Romney had been elected you still would not have had a conservative president because Romney is in no way conservative. His record speaks for itself.
