Mitt Romney may have some help in Iowa: Ron Paul.
Any rival who drains votes away from the rising Newt Gingrich — as Paul’s allies believe he does — could help keep Romney’s chief opponent at bay here. But Paul’s traditional, all-out campaign in Iowa has pushed the libertarian congressman into second in a key Iowa poll — and the reality is that even if he wins the caucuses, many Republicans say, he likely can’t win the Republican presidential nomination.
That means, Romney allies privately say, that Paul’s success may be Romney’s gain.
Part of it’s because Paul has a history of organizing to win straw polls around the country, but earns little attention or credibility as a mainstream candidate in return. He came within about 150 votes of beating Rep. Michele Bachmann at the key Iowa test vote in August — but his near-victory was barely covered, supporters complain.
That same yawn could also greet his performance in the caucuses. And even if he does get the recognition that past surprise caucus performers have found, Republicans say he’d have trouble moving on to challenge Romney in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida the way Gingrich could.

We all know that Ron Paul is being blacked out by the MSM .. mostly because this evil, fascist government fears a Paul Presidency. The people need to do their own research on the candidates and quit listening to the propaganda and lies spewed by the government-controlled media. If we are so insecure that we need someone to stroke us and comfort us into doing the right thing, we don't deserve a better government. Change the existing "lesser-of-two-evils" pattern; vote your conscience and not the dictates of the media.
The damn GOP wants us to have one of their "good old boys" Romney, Gingrich…who is NOT a conservative but a RINO…the GOP don't mind RINO's! or Perry….yet another globalist!! NO Thank you…we don't want any of these people…we know what they will do, continue the dictates of the CFR as Obozo, our Liar in Chief is doing!! We've had enough of this crap!! Ron Paul in good conscience cannot support any of them!! Trump either!!!!
It has been said if you tell a lie over and over long enough it will be believed. So true, that is why the liberal Establishment MSM and the liberal Republicans keeps telling the lie that Ron Paul cannot win. They ALL are scared out of their wits that the masses will see the light of Dr Paul's platform, the truth and consistency of his years of constitutional voting, and he does not flip flopping on issues. Ron Paul is Christian but doesn't use his faith to "buy" votes, as a man of integrity he lives his faith rather than spouting it!
Oh, yes, corrupt men and liberals cannot handle such a man!
The only way to reduce the size and scope of the current Big Government is to elect a small government president, Ron Paul is that small government presidential candidate that the current big government status quo media and presidential contenders fear and that is why they constantly attempt to degrade, insult, or minimize Ron Paul as a candidate. They attempt to persuade voters into thinking that Ron Paul can't win because they the big government control freaks fear a Ron Paul win and fear the Freedom and Liberty that Ron Paul brings to the people of the united states as President of the united states. A win for Ron Paul is a win for the people of this nation to return to our Constitution and the freedoms and Liberty it represents.
All three comments above are "SPOT ON. The washington establishment in both parties are scared to death that Ron Paul is gaining traction and could be the peoples choice. I can see Republicans in congress voting for Obama just so they can continue their culture of corruption, the country be da mned, because their free ride at the expense of the public would come to a halt. Paul has already said he would except the median income of about 36,000 as president. He would not take any more than the average American citizen is making. Bet none of the others would be willing to do that. I will go further to say that with Paul in the White House we would not be paying for any more lavish parties for the entertainment of lobbyists and campaign donors.

Whether it's flip-flopping on TARP, supporting the individual mandate that served as a model for "ObamaCare," joining with Nancy Pelosi in support of the global-warming crowd's radical agenda, or making millions off of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as they helped destroy our economy, Newt Gingrich is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
He's what is called a "counterfeit conservative."

Gingrich Explains His Support for Individual Health Mandate
From the Glenn Beck program 12/6/11:
GINGRICH: I am for people, individuals, exactly like automobile insurance, individuals having health insurance and being required to have health insurance, and I am prepared to vote for a voucher system which will give individuals on a sliding scale a government subsidy so it will ensure that everyone as individuals have health insurance.
President Obama on the individual healthcare mandate, August 2011: “(Obamacare) should not be controversial… the individual mandate’s important… It’s just like your car insurance…”
While in Congress, Gingrich co-sponsored 418 bills with Pelosi: http://dailycaller.com/2011/12/06/while-in-congre…
Gingrich Supported Rockefeller Over Goldwater
Barry Goldwater’s 1964 presidential campaign was arguably the most important in the history of the American conservative movement, leading to the “Reagan Revolution” in 1980 and it continued to have a significant influence on the Right well beyond that particular election. Where was Newt Gingrich in this fight? Supporting Nelson Rockefeller: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embed…
The “Principled Leadership” of Newt Gingrich
“I am not inclined to be a supporter of Newt Gingrich’s having served under him for four years and experienced his leadership. Because I found it lacking often times. There’s all kind of leaders, leaders that instill confidence and leaders that are somewhat abrupt, leaders that have one standard for the people that they are leading and a different standard for themselves. I will have difficulty supporting him for president of the United States.” — Senator Tom Coburn (R-Okla.)
“We had to push Newt because he wanted to cave in… Those of us who told Newt, ‘If you don’t fight for a balanced budget and don’t fight for these tax cuts and don’t fight for the cuts in committee chairmanships, etc., etc., that we promised we were going to do, we are going to kick you out’ — those 10 or 15 or so, every one of them — Tom Coburn, Matt Salmon running again in Arizona, all of them. They may not be saying it publicly, but privately they’re sending me e-mails every day going, … ‘How many times does Newt have to teach these people he’s bad for the conservative movement?’–MSNBC host and former U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, part of the “Republican Revolution” of 1994
Via the The American Spectator’s Quin Hillyer:
Former American Conservative Union Chairman Mickey Edwards was even blunter:
“I’ve known Newt now for thirty years almost,” says former congressman Mickey Edwards. “But I wouldn’t be able to describe what his real principles are. I never felt that he had any sort of a real compass about what he believed except for the pursuit of power.”
The Sr. Administrator of HermanCainForums has soundly rejected Newt Gingrich & endorsed Ron Paul. In a Posting on the site he stated:
Now that Herman Cain has dropped out of the race my new candidate is….. Congressman Ron Paul. Ron Paul was the only candidate that actually had remorse for how the media treated Herman Cain and the alleged affairs, I will always thank him for showing respect in that nature, with that said. I had always liked a lot of what Ron Paul advocates, I don’t agree with him on everything but probably 90%. I am going to encourage all Ron Paul supporters to come here and openly support Ron Paul for he is now my new official candidate for President. I was asked to support Newt Gingrich, there is no possibly way I could every endorse Newt Gingrich, how the republican party is supporting Gingrich I have no idea. While Newt has had documented multiple affairs with women Herman Cain’s campaign was destroyed by accusations yet Gingrich is at the top of the polls? What the hell is wrong with the republican party./

I will be voting for Ron Paul even if I have to write him in. I refuse to vote for these other shills the
Republican party seem to want to force on us. Since the media continues to black out Ron Paul I have done my part by putting a yard sign in my yard and bumpers tickers on both of my vehicles.
It is imperative that Ron Paul is our next president.
