In 2008, the Obama campaign represented “Hope and Change” and inspired millions of voters to pull the lever for the unknown man from Illinois. At his campaign rallies, it was commonplace to see supporters fainting, overcome with raw emotion. Obama’s 2008 campaign was fueled by an amazing combination of energy and optimism rarely seen in American politics.
In the 2008 election, it was our nation’s chance to elect our first African-American President. It was a strike against the sins of slavery and racism in America’s past and a way to launch our country toward a bright future of racial harmony and progress.
What a difference four years makes! Gone are the lofty goals and the inspired rhetoric. Instead, we have the stark reality of a failed presidency. Regarding race relations, the President has not united Americans; he has set them against each other. He ushered in more racial division than any president in recent history. For example, Obama has needlessly inserted himself in controversies such as the Trayvon Martin case and the arrest of Professor Gates in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His Justice Department refused to prosecute club-wielding Black Panthers captured on video intimidating voters in Pennsylvania, while his Attorney General had the audacity to lecture the nation about supposed institutionalized racism.
On the important issue of the economy, his stewardship has been horrific. The President has presided over an increase of $5 trillion in our national debt. Throughout his term, there has been a depression in the housing industry, a weak jobs picture, and a sky-high trade deficit.
This will be the first President ever to be responsible for an overall decline in total employment with an increase in the unemployment rate. While the unemployment rate showed a slight decrease to 8.1% last month, it meant almost nothing since the overall picture is so grim. The last jobs report showed that more Americans are leaving the workforce altogether. The labor force participation rate is the lowest rate since December 1981. Almost one million Americans are so discouraged that they have stopped looking for work.
On the energy issue, the President speaks constantly of the need for alternative sources of energy. He wants to limit production of fossil fuels and raise taxes on the oil and gas industry. Post-BP oil spill, the President limited production in the Gulf of Mexico with his misguided moratorium, and a slow, arduous permitting process remains in place even today.
The results are not surprising. While gasoline prices are down a little in the last few weeks, it still costs more than double at the pump today than it did on the day the President was inaugurated.
With these troubles, it is no wonder than the latest Real Clear Politics poll average shows that 60% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. Americans have seen the direction the President has taken our country in the past 40 months, and it is not something millions of Americans want to experience for another four years.
In Tuesday’s primary election in West Virginia, 41% of Democrats expressed their displeasure with Obama by voting for Keith Judd, otherwise known as a convicted felon, federal inmate number 11593-051. Even though he is in a federal prison in Texarkana, Texas, Judd paid a filing fee, and his name appeared on the ballot. This was not the only embarrassing result for Obama; approximately 20% of Democratic voters in other Southern states such as Oklahoma and Alabama have voted against Obama in favor of unknown opponents.
Presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney is not an ideal candidate to take advantage of this discontent and oppose Obama, but he does represent at least some sort of improvement over warmed over socialism. It is no surprise that he is leading President Obama in the latest Rasmussen poll by a margin of 49-44%.
Four years ago, Barack Obama was considered a “rock star” by millions of smitten Americans. Today, many of those same people view him as just another politician. Four years ago, he filled a stadium in Ohio with 36,000 screaming fans during a campaign stop. On Saturday, his re-election campaign was launched in front of an Ohio crowd of only 10,000 that barely filled half the seats in the arena.
The President likes to sing Al Green songs in public, anything to capture attention. In this election, many Americans will have the immortal words of the B.B. King classic on their minds when they go to the polls, “The thrill is gone away…..I’m free from your spell, I’m free, free now.”
Finally, the spell is lifted, and the real Obama can be seen clearly by the voters.
It is not a pretty sight.

The “thrill” is gone for many Obama voters after his hope and change turned into hoax and chains !
Many found themselves with no job, no home, no money, no hope and no future ! Congress was of no help, his administration helped only a favorite few, but American voters had spoken, they said they wanted their nation fundamentally changed. It was and it is !
I had so say this & then I won’t bring it up again. If the trhill is gone, then what in the world is Chris Matthews going to do if he no longer has a thrill running up & down his leg when he sees Obama? In all seriousness, i feel that Obama duped all Americans with his Hope & Change. I had followed this man since I learned that he planned to run for president (unfortunatley I spent nearly all my life in IL & do know where this man hails from) & no matter what I said, everyone was so enthused with this man b/c of all of his promises that they refused to see what was happening in front of their very eyes!! In some respects, I almost feel as though people went into a trance when they saw him. It was really sad to see people make such fools out of themselves. Now his party has taken on the campaign slogan of “Forward”. That is even more frightening b/c that’s what the Communistic Marxists used as a slogan in Europe. They went “forward” all right & they killed every Jew that they could get their hands on. This man is so corrupt that he reeks of the very word. We are total fools if we vote him in for 4 more years. The other day I saw some younger people being interviewed on TV regarding people in our government. I’m still shaking my head over the fact that the majority did not know who NancyPelosi, Harry Reid or Joe Biden were. You can bet your life that they knew about Palin though. The priorities of the youth today is really pathetic. They have no idea what is happening in this country & are willing to stand & giggle when asked important questions regarding our government. Some time ago I watched people interviewed on why they had voted for Obama. The simple terminology that came out of their mlouths made me cringe, “Oh, he’s so cute or cool.” or “He really knows how to speak.” They haven’t the slightest idea that this man would be helpless without a telepromter!! I saw a video some time ago, where Obama had come to a 2nd or 3rd grade classroom to speak & he actually needed his teleprompters with him. This is what I call a pathetic human being!! Personally, I do not want this man to remain in OUR White House for 4 more years!!
You have that right, Congress is complicit in the whole damn mess. The Congress needs a major house cleaning, senate cleaning too. I’m not optimistic that things will be greatly changed under Mitt. If they will be, he needs to come out and start telling us so. He needs to tell us how he will turn back the plague of Obamaoism, get rid of the Sec of State. She can get on her broom and go back to whatever place will take her, house on haunted hill comes to mind. Pelosi, Reid, and all the other marxist, redistributionest, debt diggers need to go. They should live out their days in a dilapitated rest home on MedicAid like poor folk do, and that’s too good for them, federal prison for treason seems more appropriate. As for Obama, I don’t know what the do with people that have a fake history and back story. First, they would have to get the original FBI and CIA files and figure out who he really is and where he’s from, and go from there. My guess is he’s illegally in the country, brought into HI as a baby, best case is he’s a dual national British/naturalized American citiizen. That would mean he and the DNC duped the nation and usurped the presidency with an ineligible nominee, which many of us suspected all along, and still do.

AMEN!!! Your description is accurate but does not have all of the reasons for dumping this creature. He is actually quite bright and doing an exemplary job of carrying out his agenda. The problem lies in the content af that agenda. To gain real insight into what he is doing read 2 books: 1- “Rules for Radicals” by Alinsky, 2- Das Kapital by Karl Marx. This will reveal his insidious plot to destroy the United States of America and turn it into a socialist state. We must rid ourselves of Komrade Obama.
Read Orwell’s “1984″, too. Pay attention to the Ministry of Truth (today known as the mainstream media) and newspeak (“Ignorance is Strength”). Look for a major “crisis” to develope before the election to allow Obama to subvert the people’s vote.

Obama is NOT dumb! People can’t seem to get it that Obama is largely accomplishing what he said he wanted to do. If you want to get a better picture of what he has in mind look up the term “czar” and you will know where his mind is. He is also doing many of the things Hitler did. WAKE UP “We the people.”

We need a leader who has some knowledge on how to get things done. Romney is not the Fancy speaker that OB is, so people think he is stiff.
