I was having dinner the other night, and Pat Cadell, Jimmy Carter’s pollster and a very honest liberal, came up to me. He said bluntly that if his side’s front runner had lost 3 of the first 8 elections and been swept out last Tuesday, by Wednesday the Democrats would have a new candidate in the race.
He is right.
Yet the Republican Party has decided instead of finding a new guy to do what it can to get Romney across the finish line no matter how bad the limp.
On Tuesday, Santorum swept. Romney came in third in Minnesota. Counties he won big in Colorado turned on him overwhelmingly. Our “frontrunner” has won three of the first eight. With the exception of Florida, he has shown he can only win states with strong family ties like New Hampshire and states with strong Mormon participation like Nevada.
That may give him Michigan and Arizona, but it spells trouble elsewhere.

Romney was a loser in 08. He’s still a loser despite his spending mega-millions to trash his opponents and reinventing himself as a conservative, even laughably painting himself as a Reagan conservative. He was anti-Reagan from the beginning to end of RR’s presidential term. He ran to the left of Ted Kennedy, if that’s actually possible, when campaigning for Kennedy’s seat in MA. He opened the floodgates for same sex marriage to spill out onto the nation after issuing an edict to town clerks across his state to start issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples to the disgust of those same town clerks. And that while the state legislature was intending to take no action in response to what was regarded as an unconstitutional ruling from the state’s supreme court. What could the court have done? Nothing! Romney instead saw it as an opportunity to pander for some votes from the left, his favorite side. He then pushed for and signed into law what amounts to the parent of Obamacare, i.e. Romneycare, but now ardently claims that he will repeal Obamacare because it’s unfair to Americans. BeeSsss! The guy is a fake, no different in that respect from Obama. Why the fools, the elites of the republican establishment can’t see or admit that is mind boggling. They have to be among the dumbest of pols. They refuse to be confused by the facts. They deserve to be driven from office soonest or at the very least pushed to the back bench and ignored. If denied access to earmarks, their constituents will soon remove the problem. Romney like Ford, Dole, Bush Sr. and McCain would likely lose to Obama because of his “moderate” (liberal, RINO) status which pretty much makes indistinguishable from Obama. Obama, his thugs and lapdog media are no doubt hoping their opponent will be Romney in the fall, the easiest to defeat.
There you go, leaving Paul out in the cold again. He will win and there is nothing you can do about it.
