A week ago, as is well enough known, Omar Thornton shot and killed eight of his coworkers while being escorted out of the building after having been terminated by his employer, a Connecticut beer distributor.
As I write this, President Barack Obama has yet to address this subject in any public way. He is not alone in his restraint. The media have soft-pedaled the motive — the whole shooting, for that matter. Four days after the fact, my wife, who watches CNN and listens to NPR, had not heard about it. Unlike, say, Oklahoma City or even Columbine, the tragedy served no useful political purpose. Just the opposite.
“You probably want to know the reason why I shot this place up,” Thornton told the dispatcher in his final 9-11 call. “This place is a racist place. They’re treating me bad over here. And treat all other black employees bad over here, too. So I took it to my own hands and handled the problem. I wish I could have got more of the people.” For a media desperately seeking a whiff of Tea Party violence, this was not welcome news.

Please explain where you get this information as I have never heard of this accusation against McCain and Palin before.
I wouldn't expect you to take my word for it, so if you simply Google "McCain supports cap and trade" or "Palin supports cap and trade" you can find dozens of examples, including YouTube videos of them supporting it during their campaign. In fact, before that I believe (though I'm not positive about that) that McCain and Joe Lieberman sponsored some of the first cap-and-trade legislation. And of course McCain and Palin have both flipped-flopped on various issues since then.

But I seriously doubt that Sarah would be willing to take the pay cut to be president even if she had a prayer of being elected. And to run, she'd actually have to know something about current affairs and public policy, and to agree to interviews with people other than those on Fox News. It won't happen.

One reason that Obama is remaining MUM on the issue is because it is BEER. If there is a problem, sharing a BEER will solve it. If there is a misunderstanding, a BEER Summit is in order, especially if Obama inflamed the misunderstanding by reacting before examining the evidence. The Presidential Nominee always sets the tone for the Vice Presidential Nominee. McCain is a R.I.N.O. (Republican In Name Only), He is not a true Conservative. Campaign Finance Reform, Amnesty for the Illegals (Comprehensive Immigration Legislation), the Bailout were all McCains Ideas, but that does not mean that those issues are right. If you add up Mike Huckabee Supporters to Mitt Romney Supporters, McCain comes away with representing just a MINORITY of Republicans. I am a Christian First, an American Second, a Conservative third, and a Republican last. McCain does not represent me or the way that I think, and I also get my news from several different sources: The Old Media Networks (CBS, ABC, NBC), and Fox News. You cannot excuse Cap and Trade by McCain being for it. Besides it would hit the poor the hardest, because of increased Utility Bills which the poor are barely making it as is.
