In my experience, most economists have a poor understanding of monetary issues. Many economists who have mastered these issues cover them up or obscure them for profit.
Inflation is best contained by an accountable Congress indexing the money supply to national productivity, but only if the money supplied is debt-free, interest-free and tax-free through government creation instead of private creation for profit by the Federal Reserve that is basically a crime syndicate.
