The official White House blog slammed Glenn Beck today, accusing the host of displaying a “disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration’s efforts to win the Olympics for the United States.”
Last night, the conservative firebrand attacked the President for lobbying hard to get the 2016 Olympics to come to Chicago.
Today, the White House released a point by point rebuttal of three of Beck’s statements.
Here’s an example from the post, which is titled, “Trying to Turn a Point of Pride into a Moment of Shame”:

So, since when does a president lobby for the Olympics? Don't business men with a known expectation of profit usually do that job? On the other hand, maybe it's better that he's doing that than pushing the healthcare bill.
Obama is a big crybaby. He believes he really is the "Messiah". It will disgrace the USA to have the Olympics in the hell hole of Chicago. And that wife of his, who was never proud of this country, can't wait to reign over the Olympics.
Maybe if Obama spent as much time talking to, and considering, Gen. McCrystal's request for more troops the USA might stand a chance of winning the war on terror. The guy is a joke and an embarrassment to our Country!
Obviously the truth hurts and why the WH is lashing out! There are FAR more important things than his need to get the Olympics in Chicago – OH WAIT – unless he wants to help pay off his gal pal Valerie Jarrett, her former company owns the land rights for the proposed Chicago Olympia development!
Obviously we are preaching to the choir. The other side just does not get it! Hopefully more people will wake up to what is really happening in this country and throw the bums out!
Is he still doing the 'payback'? Can someone give this administration a 'job description" please. Exposing this administration and their crooked ideals may get a change of political climate for the US. Seems to me like they are not sure what their JOB is suppose to be. I say we change the entire administration. We certainly have that 'right' as citizens and taxpayers. Keep up the Good work!

The Olympics are a known budget buster and corrupting influence. This was an attempt at political payback, pure and simple and it FAILED!! Chalk up one for the good guys.
I know what Obama was reallying doing in Copenhagen – organizing PornCorn. He'll never be more than a community organizer.
By the way, when are the taxpayers going to be reimbursed for that trip – especially Oprah. Good gracious – she has more money than Croesus, let her pay her own way!
Yeah bring the Olympics to Chicago.The opportunity for appoloiges both during and after are tremendous. Flash attacks by mobs of uncivilize black youths,Harassment by Chicago’s police, High prices, rude behavior,maybe they will call rush hour on the Dan Ryan an amusement ride.And of course there are always the tour of Obama ands Emanuel’s favorite gay bath house.
