What’s Plan C?: Boehner Pulls Plug On Plan B

John Boehner SC What’s Plan C?: Boehner Pulls Plug On Plan B

Even if Speaker John Boehner’s “Plan B” tax proposal, a fiscal cliff negotiating ploy that raises taxes on those making a $1 million per year but preserves cuts for everyone else, had passed the House it would never see a Senate vote according to Majority leader Harry Reid.

And even if it passed in the Senate, President Barack Obama has promised to veto it.

So the only reason the House would move forward with a vote on Thursday night was, one assumes, for tactical reasons. As Karl Rove, writing in the Wall Street Journal, observed, Boehner would evidently deny “President Obama the easy target he thought he had in the post-election GOP. The speaker has undercut the White House’s strategy of attacking congressional Republicans as do-nothing troglodytes and kept his party unified in a situation with no easy or obvious answers.”

I’m skeptical that voting for a tax increase will give Republicans any leverage in the fiscal cliff negotiations, but, and I’m no Machiavelli, I’m pretty sure you have to pass the bill to make the messaging stick.

  1. The best plan for the House Republicans is to pass a 6 month continuing resolution extending the Bush tax cuts and sequester due date and if the Democrats refuse to pass it the blame will be theirs.

The problem has been that our Republican Leadership is more concerned with getting re-elected rather than fighting like hell to save our Republic from Obama’s transformation of our country into his dream of a Marxist/Islamic big government regime without a meaningful constitution.

Boehner’s fear of direct confrontation is our problem and we can never win this critical battle unless we get off defense and get on the offence. Many are not aware the House Speaker does not have to be a member of the House and Col. Allen West, who is a fantastic outspoken black conservative, is available due to his failure to win a close election in south Florida due to redistricting.

It would be tremendously educational for the black community and the entire country to witness the difference in the patriotic ideas of a truly conservative black Colonel in comparison to the Marxist/Islamic big government ideas of Obama and the Democrats. The fear of Republicans being called Racists for standing up to a black president would become absurd.

  2. Plan “C”. Oh, thats easy. It COWARDESS!

  3. One way to save money and to avoid spending is to stop giving away our hard earned tax dollars to the millions of illegals who have broken our laws and to rouge nations whose only purpose is to kill and destroy! That money would go a long way is paying off debt! Also stop enabling slackers who are able bodied! Make them EARN their welfare check by WORKING at public places like our parks, animal shelters, public buildings and if they miss work DOCK their pay! That would save countless dollars by having to hire and pay someone to do these jobs! If they are educated and experienced in administration put them to work in government/state offices! My goodness, it doesn’t take a rocket scientest to figure this out! Yet NO ONE is proposing this! Just think of the trillions of dollars this alone would save!

  4. What plan C should be would be a 2% tax cut across would never be passed in the senate but it would make democrats look like a bunch of money hungry tax hikers. Repub`s=good, Demorats=bad.Big wrench in the boons plans.
