Three months ago, George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Fla., shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
Handcuffed, taken in and interrogated, Zimmerman told police Trayvon had been acting suspiciously that dark and rainy night, that he had followed Trayvon, been knocked down and battered on the ground, and, fearing for his life, pulled a concealed handgun and shot him.
Sanford police and prosecutors concluded that Zimmerman acted in self-defense and had not committed a provable felony. They let him go.
A racial firestorm followed. “Blacks are under attack,” railed Jesse Jackson. “Killing us is big business.” Arriving in Sanford, the reverend dialed it up. Trayvon was “shot down in cold blood by a vigilante … murdered and martyred.”
Rep. Maxine Waters’ charge of “hate crime” was echoed by radio talker Joe Madison. Rep. Hank Johnson said Trayvon had been “executed.” The Grio compared his killing to the lynching of Emmett Till in Mississippi in 1955.

If he walks free, it’s because a JURY let him go. If you don’t like the jury system of justice, find some other place.
We accepted OJ Simpson going free and he was much more likely guilty than Zimmerman!
From everything that has been presented about this tragic event, if Trayvon would have simply asked Mr. Zimmerman why he was following him, in a respectful manner, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!
What is wrong with people today?
Isn’t is painfully obvious that civility has gone out of fashion and instead of a teenager beating-up an adult, he SHOULD have asked him why the adult was following him?
Too many times people over-react to a situation and get shot for their trouble. The 17 year old child had reason to ask the adult following him why he was following him; BUT, he did not have the right to beat him down simply for that reason. Given the circumstances and the fact that there is a lot of crime in the area, Mr. Zimmerman had every right to carry a concealed weapon, but he probably should have used better judgment; although, at the time, he was probably in fear for his life and took action he thought he needed to in order to stand his ground and survive the attack…YES, he was attacked by a punk-ass kid, who lacked discipline and the social ability to respect and converse plainly with others.
Zimmerman can lodge a lawsuit againt the imbecils in the black panther party, jackson and sharpton for endangering his life and I would think he has a good chance of making it stick.
Yes Zimmerman could do all that and make it stick, but it will not protect his life. Look at how many women have been killed by a person they had restraining order against. Al Sharpton, Jessee Jackson and the 7 members of the Black Panther joke have already said Zimmerman is guilty. Their verdict trumps and supercedes everything else. Zimmerman needs to disappear! I think our Government should help fade away. I also think Al Sharpton is as far away from being a Rev as he can be. Reverands are supposed to strive for peace, help people and spread good will. Seem to me Al Sharpton should be charged with spreading hate and dealt with accordingly.
Sharpton and Jackson are two of the biggest racists around, followed by Holder and Obama
Today I doubt he will walk. I understand that 4 witnesses have flopped and changed their stories. o’s tentacles run deep.
I am sure the a good lawyer good take apart their flip flopping. Maybe someone contacted the witnesses and they came to an understanding. Just a thought.
I believe there are too many people who can be bought, bribed, blackmailed or threatened If this statement is not true this illegal, phony, lying POTUS would not be in office.
