Class warfare works.
Or, as Bill O’Reilly said during the Fox News election pre-game show, “50% of America wants ‘stuff’ and Barack Obama will give them ‘stuff’”.
Republicans and conservatives didn’t factor in the resentment towards the big banks which the “folks”, as O’Reilly calls them, have.
In retrospect, it’s understandable.
The financial system has always been rigged against the little guy. And, by the way, it’s not like Barack Obama and his ilk aren’t whores for Wall Street as well. They just articulated their indignation better.
The truth is that banks like Goldman Sachs have always found ways to make money from little guys. The trick has always been, in the past, to not rub their noses in it.
The minute the government bailed out American Insurance Group (AIG) and, by extension, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and their buddies, everybody who lost their house or knows somebody who did or lost their job decided they, too, were entitled to the same kind of welfare.
So, Mitt Romney was right.
By default, he had lost the 47% of the country who pay no taxes.
That’s a hard start to overcome, no matter how decent a guy you are and no matter how much sense you make as a businessman.
So, where are we now?
We have a President who is just as incompetent today as he was last week. I still don’t believe he is some kind of an evil genius who would enslave us. But his incompetence will severely limit the progress this nation can make.
The social agenda he would like to see will fail under its own weight.
A $16-trillion debt will stop a whole lot of new spending all by itself.
And, just for good measure, nothing much is going to happen from a legislative front because the American voters wisely left a Republican House of Representatives intact, thus insuring at least two years of gridlock.
Unless Obama decides he really wants to work with the Republican House and our idiot water boy Harry Reid does the same, nothing good is going to come out of Washington for at least two years and probably four.
Since Reid said that he, himself, would make sure that a President Romney could not work with Senate Democrats, we cannot imagine that he will work with the Republican House.
So, your taxes will rise, the defense budget will be drastically cut, and inflation will run rampant because these clowns are too incompetent to do anything else.
The only way out is for Obama to show something he has only talked about in four years—leadership.
In order to do so, he would have to look his constituencies in the eye and say that nobody—especially the big banks—are getting “stuff”. And that also includes unions, individuals, anybody. Because we simply cannot afford it.
Also, Obama has to do something about what is going to be a bigger and bigger issue as time goes on—energy independence.
He needs to tell the folks who would like to see us not drive cars that their vision is insane and that we are going to drill and build pipelines. $3.50 a gallon gas is a tax on everyone who wants “stuff” from the government. The best “stuff” Obama could deliver would be energy independence from the Arab Middle East.
If he chooses to continue in a second term the way he conducted his first, than his victory will be a pyrrhic one.
Mitt Romney fought a good fight. He lost. He would make a good Secretary of the Treasury or Secretary of Commerce. That would probably never happen; but given Obama’s current level of incompetence, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for him to consider.

People don’t want good government, people wants a profitable government.
People wants a government that makes them money, and at least 47% of the
people approved this statement.
People don’t want Inalienable Rights as granted them by our Creator, but they
want civil rights as granted them by their government. People don’t know,
nor do they care to know the difference between the two. It’s simply more
profitable to at least 47% of the people that they have civil rights over Inalienable
Rights.
When the aspirations of the people determines they care more for profit than for
good or the right things, then society has failed and has devolved into a mobocracy
that will vote to enslave itself in order to justify its’ prosperity and profitability.

This is so sad for our country. We tried to tell the young people of our country that they can’t get some thing for nothing forever, there is always a pay back time but they have been coddled by their parents and the government for so long and haven’t seen what our military personnel have been through and what the older Americans have been through. The worse part to me is the babies that the libbers will kill and partial birth abortions and that shows me there putting that baby in a room to die by themselves, and this is just them acting like animals and most animals treat their offsprings better than our citizens. And then the young people that are serving our country to let some one as evil as obama to come here and as a two year junior senator be allowed with no experience and no releasing his public records to destroy our country and with obama sneaking all his muslim people in the country and now we have another set of entitlment people and I hope the Illegals see when obama makes them legal and they have to start paying taxes and working on the taxpayers code they pay but some one needs to do some thing about the four and five wives that these muslims have that we pay taxes and pay into welfare for them. Abortion, killing our military and the death panel of our healthcare …really the whole healthcare plan is a mess.
This free stuff going to the 47% will not last forever. When it runs out the government won’t be able to give anymore. These 47% will be left out in the cold with nothing. The government will not care about them, anymore. They will be disposed of or thrown under the bus. So, you 47% some day your government will turn on you or abandon you. What will you do then? You will starve or end up in prison. Using taxpayer money to give to 47% of Americans as “free stuff” IS enslavement. They don’t realize but they are enslaved by the government. That’s why obozo is giving them “free stuff” from the American taxpayer, against the American taxpyayers’ wishes. for the purpose of controlling them to get them to vote for him. That’s enslavement whether anyone likes to admit or not. Our government is a dictatorship and we will be more and more enslaved as time goes on. We’ve brought it on ourselves, America. We brought on our OWN DESTRUCTION!! And anyone who opposes this tyrannical government will be persecuted and disposed of. If you don’t believe me just look at history in Nazi Germany, Stalin’s USSR, Mao Tesing of Red China. Anyone who can’t see this is blind or imprudent. It’s not a matter of the government running out of money. It is already bankrupt.
What will matter is that the bankrupt borrower will continue borrowing until everyone is broke and everyone is equally poor or rich, whichever way one wishes to look at it. by the time this happens the stock markets, commodity markets and money markets will collapse and that 47% PLUS the ones robbed of their money will be openly fighting in a real civil war, which btw will be the continuation and conclusion of Lincoln’s War. I remember my gran pappy telling me about 50 years this was gonna happen because the war didn’t end right. I didn’t understand then but now I see it clearly. It will be the worst war man has ever known, and it will spread around the world.
As I have said long before, Americans are their own worst enemies. You sowed the seeds of your defeat by accepting a lie and you still live by this lie today. Only the truth can set you free…. I have paid taxes into the government for 60 years and watched as my money hard earned with busted knuckles, and strained back being wasted and thrown away just to be able to get rid of it. the Aholes in DC buried us in debt by borrow and waste. Let them pay for it. I for one have had enough. It takes every dime I can get just to live and they want more of my money. I`m joining the 47%.

Well I’ll pass on a few things.
The “League of the South” (LoS) has had more new traffic today and inquiries than it usually gets in a couple of months.
I am a “subject” to the same laws as everyone else here. That does NOT mean I accept them.
Nor does that mean I accept any responsibility electing or approving the government that imposed them upon me. I am simply a subject whose people has been conquered, their country and property taken, and is systematically being destroyed. What you fail to fully understand is, it is now being applied to you and people around you, even in regards that your ancestors and others around you were not the original targets of this conquest and genocide, but who actually helped set in motion the conquest of my people. You could say today’s happenings it is a form of payback or, what goes around comes around.
As for Obama being elected. The LoS is taking the stance that his re-election will do more than anything else in further promoting the separation of the South from this evil government that is bent on controlling the world. That we may regain our legitimate government back that was illegally taken away from a free and Sovereign people by Imperialistic and tyrannical government.
There are many possibilities that can happen which will cause the above separation. Obama has many options available in finally destroying the country. Whatever he chooses or does, know it was the original intent of the World Bankers to separate and break apart the United States. They were the ones that antagonized both sides bringing about Lincoln’s War. They wanted it then, but the situation didn’t completely work for them as the CSA turned down their offers of money and aid in exchange for a favorably monetary system along with the payments on borrowed monies. They settled for temporary victory until they could fully gain the US Treasury as the Federal Reserve and plan again for another breakup of the USA. (The reasons they wanted this are very interesting.)
I personally do not acknowledge the liberals and Marxists as being my countrymen. I will not fight for them nor lend them any aid that I am not required too. I do not wish to associate with them in any way. I want them away from me, out of my state and region. May they readily lick the hands that feeds them scraps from the public trough, and may their master’s chains rest heavily upon their necks. And KNOW this, that last statement includes at LEAST 47% of the population of the USA. This many people on opposing sides DEMANDS at least TWO separate countries, for the varying types and ideologies of people! And 5-9 smaller countries would be even better as it would better give people more local control over their governments, making the governments more responsive to the people. All the while waste and corruption could be drastically reduced, while allowing people in each of their respective countries to better practice and follow their cultures, religion and heritage.

A few generations ago, if you lost your job you might have been really worried that you wouldn’t be able to provide for your family. You might have even been looked upon as not being a good provider. To avoid that stigma, you were more inclined to seek out other employment opportunities, change your career, even look to your extended family for ideas and possible assistance. Over the past generation or two, it has become increasingly obvious that the “stigma” is not nearly as big of a factor in motivating people to do what was legally within their power to do in order to avoid being stigmatized. I believe that with more households receiving open-ended government assistance, the pain of unemployment has been buffered such that a false sense of well-being or a new normal stifled enough discontent with the current leadership so that they didn’t see a need to rock the nanny state boat. This condition may be in play from now on.
Hate to disagree with you Fred, I’m convinced OWEbama is a Manchurian muslim PLANT. He has deceived those mind-numbed zombies marching with him in the marxist ideology to re-elect him and now he’s set to finish collapsing the U.S. capitalist system under HUGE DEBT AND EXPLODING WELFARE PROGRAMS.
