Australians did this to themselves. Just as in the United States, they foolishly elected liberals. And, liberals there as here will never admit that they were wrong and say that it someone else’s fault.
Gun ownership is a God given right that cannot be negotiated away, or voted away by an bloated, power hungry government. Most patriots do not want to go back to 1776, but would not hesitate to defend their rights. My ancestor participated in that war and I’m sure it wasn’t pretty.
For all you politicians out there thinking about gun control, you better start thinking about repelling all the gun laws. The second amendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms. @Debra Smith- Thanks for quoting Ronald Reagan on this extremely important matter because if the people of this nation stand idly by and peaceably allow their guns to be taken away from them then they will deserve exactly what they will then have to live with and that is tyranny and chaos because those today in power are not interested in protecting anyone in this nation other than themselves and their own fortunes. You had better believe that all those who will be responsible for disarming the rest of America’s honest people will make sure that they receive “exceptions to the law” being enforced when it comes to them and their households. It is amazing how under this Administration that many of those directly involved in passing laws that benefit no one but themselves and their own constitutients have received these so-called “exceptions”, whereby, the laws they were instrumental in passing somehow do NOT apply to them. The rest of America is forced to abide by those same laws or go to prison. We as a people must stand up for ourselves and not trust the government to protect us from the criminals or the unconstitutional laws put into force by the various brances of the Federal Government itself.
I don’t like guns, but find it is necessary to have and probably use them, I had a real problem in Denver and know that if I would have had a gun that I would have used it, but I didn’t and so on and on. But the police did nothing for me and I knew that it was a black guy, but I was raised in all white town and there were just whites and I had always felt sorry that they were discriminated against. I think to have all those big guns are bad, there are a lot of parents that let their kids shoot the big guns and there was an incident a few years ago that the kid shot himself in the head….that is awful, but what about the ATF/holder and obama and the Fast And Furious incident….? How did this happen….I think sportsmen should have the smaller ones, but there should be some parental or laws. I hate to say government control, but in some cases there has got to be…
@sloegin, government can not control guns, all gun laws are unconstitutioal. The people have the right, not just sportsmen, to have and use the same weapons as the armed forces.The second amendment was put into the Constitution to protect the people from an out of control government.

Years ago he told me they banned all gun and that crime went way up immediately. Criminals are just trying to make a living like everyone else. Don’t you nut jobs realize that self defense is against the law? All you have to do is look at what is happening to Zimmerman in Florida. He took the law in his hands and senselessly gunned down a young black kid who is innocent until proven guilty. That 70 year old man who shot at those young victims should be given the death sentence for taking the law in his own hands and also endangering the lives of all those innocent bystanders. All of us demand a safe working environment. Why shouldn’t the criminals and tyrants have that right too? This is what it’s coming down to. Ever wonder why the politicians exempt themselves from the laws they pass? As long as those liberal politicians from both parties keep getting elected and over 50% of those eligible to vote stay away from the polls on election days, the America we once knew will be gone forever. Well, think about this. The only reason you are not kowtowing to the king of England, speaking German or Japanese, or cowering in your own home hoping not to be raped and/or murdered is the private ownership of guns, and not just “the little ones”. The American cities with the lowest rates of violent crime are those cities that have the highest ownership of guns. The cities that deny their residents the right to keep and bear arms have the highest rates of violent crime. Check the fbi statistics for yourself.

People in this country need to get their minds turned on to what is actually happening in the real world all around them by getting the earbuds out of their ears and quit texting while walking and/or driving because they are totally unaware of what is happening in the world all around them. Someone could be following them meaning to do them bodily harm and they are totally unaware of it because they are so addicted to all of their various forms of electronics. Yesterday 5 black men came into a jewelry store with sacks for all the loot waving a gun around. A 55 year old conceled carry licensee pulled his gun and the armed 5 couldn`t get out of the store fast enough. It was funny watching 5 armed black men trying to get out the door at the same time with out opening it first. One 55 year old with a gun willing to defend the store turned 5 black men with at least one gun into cowards.When the victum can fight back the bad guy don`t want to die and will run.
There are alot of things I don’t need. I don’t need to be taxed to pay of some lowlife to lay around having babies, or taxes to pay judges that lets the same people out of prison time and time again. I don’t need the government telling me I have to accept queers and their lifestyle. I don’t need the government telling me what I can and can’t say, calling it hate speech. I DO need my GUNS to turn America back to the once great country it once was, before the commies got in. I lived in Australia for 10 years, I am willing to bet that the government there now is the Labor Party, who like the demoncraps in USA want to destroy their own country. It is heartbreaking that a nation I knew in the 1970′s as a nation of good hard working people have been reduced to crawling to the goverment for scraps.

It should be a crime when a government seeks to demoralize and destabilize it’s own military by adovcating open homosexuality within the ranks and then goes so far as to cut “their hazardous-duty-pay” while they are in “Harm’s Way” along with also cutting their insurance benefits and if that is not criminal enough their “Commander-in-Chief” after having already alienated a lot of our military men and women is now trying to disenfranchise them from their ability to cast their ballots in the November 6th election. My husband is a Vietnam Veteran and I have a son who served in the “Persian Gulf” while being called to “Hazard Duty” aboard at least 4 different fast-attack submarines over the time of his enlistment; therefore, I fully support our service members who are called upon to literally leave their homes, family and nation to go abroad and put themselves in harm’s way on foreign soil in order to protect all the rest of us from all those who seek to destroy our nation and its lifestyle of guaranteed rights and freedoms for all of our American Citizens. Today in this nation there are too many who sit back and criticize but are unwilling to get involved or risk their reputations or fortunes in order to stand up to TYRANNY wherever it maybe found INCLUDING within our own United States Federal Government and its many agencies–where unwarranted and unbridled discrimination is now taking place against anyone who dares to speak up for the unborn and against anyone who dares to disagree with those CURRENTLY IN POWER–i.e. those who would readily deny “all rights to those who dare to hold differing opinions” from the “politicaly correct” across this nation today. Our sovereign rights as American Citizens are being voluntarily subjugated to those in power at the United Nations. No conqueror has attacked us and won the war and then come in to take all of our rights and freedoms from us RATHER we the American People have become so complacent about the possibility of losing all of our God-given rights and freedoms that we are simply allowing them to be stripped from us “one-at-a-time”–without making even so much as an outcry against it.
American Patriots arise and retake our country out of the hands of our enemies “who are living right here amongst us” and not on some foreign soil–a world away from us–for the time is now or never!
I desire to clarify my meaning in my first post: I am NOT advocating warfare or the taking up of arms of any kind against anyone or any form of government; rather, I am entreating the American People to go to the ballot boxes and vote this November 6th to hopefully remove from political offices all those who refuse to perform the duties for which they have been lawfully elected and that is to represent the true will of their own constituients–American Citizens–who elected them to office. This is the only way that I believe we have available to us to retake our nation from those bent upon destroying it “from the inside out!”
