Walmart Stands Firm Against Union Thugs

Unions at Walmart Creative Commons by DBs travels Walmart Stands Firm Against Union Thugs

Immediately after Barack Obama’s reelection, his union masters beat their chests and growled their demand for “Card Check,” the decidedly anti-American dream of Big labor to use physical intimidation to force all of America to be unionized. Under this demented scheme union goons would be allowed to threaten and intimidate workers to scare them into voting to unionize, thereby allowing union bosses to steal a portion of their paychecks each week in return for keeping their jobs.

The Democrats love this because as the crooks and lowlifes they are, they look forward to union kickbacks of this extorted money which they use to destroy any Republican opposition – just look at the socialist State of California to get a clearer picture of how these extortions work.

In order to make “Card Check” a reality, Big Labor must find a way to extort union dues money from Walmart’s 1.3 million employees. “Black Friday’ was the opening post-election round of these attacks on Walmart, but by all accounts it failed and the joke was on the union thugs.

In a refreshing reminder that our side can be snarky and blunt, Walmart’s corporate office at Bentonville Arkansas (not New York or Los Angeles – but Arkansas) released a triumphant message to their enemies both in and out of the White House.   “We had a very safe and successful Black Friday events at our stores across the country and heard overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers.  Only 26 protests occurred at stores last night and many of them did not include any Walmart associates.”

“In addition, the company did not experience the walk-offs that were promised by the UFCW. We estimate that less than 50 associates participated in the protest nationwide. In fact, this year, roughly the same number of associates missed their scheduled shifts as last year.”

The union goons want a 60% increase in pay for Walmart workers which would end the company as a factor in the battle to extort America’s workers.

We can expect more and more vicious attacks from our Big Labor enemies. Last summer as a way to probe for weaknesses someone called in a series of fake bomb scares at seven Walmart’s in Middle America. It won’t take three guesses to figure out who was behind these crimes.

  3. “… someone called in a series of fake bomb scares at seven Walmart’s in Middle America. It won’t take three guesses to figure out who was behind these crimes.”

While a second grader, even one from a government-run, tax-funded welfare school in Chicago could guess, it’s a fair bet that Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, and Barack O’bama couldn’t guess in forty-five years, with Cliff Notes to guide them.

Mr. O’bama, will there ever be any Jobs?

  4. Good for Walmart!

  5. It would help if, when quoting a person, the author used the same words and punctuation as the source did.

The story here says that Walmart’s corporate office released a statement saying ““We had a very safe and successful Black Friday events at our stores across the country …” The article does not appear in the official version, and it makes the Arkansas spokesman/writer seem illiterate, since “a … events” is not standard English grammar.

Moreover, the plural of “Walmart” is not “Walmarts”, it’s just “Walmarts”. The “flying apostrophe” is maddening and only points to a substandard education received by “Coach” Collins.

Mr. O’bama, will there ever be any Jobs?

    • Rather than critique someone else’s grammer, why not be productive? By the content of your post I’m gonna take a wild guess here and presume you are a liberal. Considering that most of their time is spent judging others to see if they fit in the obamabot mold!! JUST SAYIN!!!!!!

      • Your presumption is very wrong. I’m not a “liberal”, and have never voted for one.

But I am concerned that people do the right thing, and quoting incorrectly is a serious error, especially when the poor quotation makes the original person look foolish.

You might check my myriad of posts on a wide variety of forums> they all attest to my bona fides as a slightly conservative libertarian. The one thing I am not is a statist.

Mr. O’bama, will there ever be< any Jobs?

        • Actions speak louder than words. If it looks like, acts like, talks like a liberal; it’s a liberal!!! I could sit here all day long and claim I am not christian. But my words and actions will always give me away! As do yours! I do not “follow” you or anyone else here, but I can see a lib when I spot one. Try a better shade of cammo next time. You stick out like a sore thumb!!!

    • @ LeSellers , well , if you are going to be picky , why don’t you use Hussein’ right name ? Or is that the ” do as I say , not as I do ” ?!?
And , speaking of grammar , you should take a gander on your own , LeSellers . or is that too hard ?

  6. Goodness there are more important things than Punctuation’s and EXACT words. We all got it anyway. Right now our country has been taken over by a Thug and his union buddies, making sure words are punctuated will not change this. I say GOOD FOR WALMART!! Do not give into these nobodies unless you want America to look like all those empty buildings in Detroit. Hell w/OBummer in office another 4 yrs we may look like that! I shop Walmart for everything I buy because I save there. Making it a Union store will bring prices up to make the Big Wheels in the Unions Richer and the employee’s slaves to the Union Thugs and turning them into Union Thugs. Stay Strong Walmart we stand w/You!

    • There are, ceratinly, more important things than grammar, punctuation and precise quotations.

However, there are “rules” for a reason: they make understanding simpler, and, in communication, understanding what the “sender” actually meant is critical. That;s what “communications” is all about.

Mr. O’bama, will there ever be any Jobs?

      • I understood it just fine. You are simply making excuses for being a nit-picker. I see your type all over the internet. “Look, look, look! He spelled that word wrong. See how smart I am.”

        • I rarely, if ever, comment on spelling. I make far too many typos myself. However, when quoting someone, common decency requires that the quotation be exact, especially when the supposed quotation makes the original speaker/writer look foolish.

Mr. O’bama, will three ever be any Jobs?

          • @ LeSellers , ever hear of ” paraphrase ” ?
I guess I was right , since you , yourself , have already said that you make too many typos . It is a ” do as I say , not as I do ” . You think you’re smart , and you must tell every one . Where I live , we call people like you , the different name of a donkey .

      • I certainly understood also and I think everyone who read it and posted comments understood it. I am not here to be a spell checker or punctuation checker, just here to learn and say what is on my mind about the subject. I do not care if someone does not spell a word correctly, This is not a grammer or spelling class its a blog. I usually understand what they are saying anyway. I just hope OBummer doesn’t take this freedom we have to comment on things. I would NOT put it past him to take that right away just as he is with everything he possibly can so far, by his favorite thing to do “Executive Order” He is the only thing I am concerned about right now.

  7. I was a Walmart employee for 3 weeks several years ago and quit because of a huge difference of opinion about my job description. I have to say that they are not the best employer. My friend who worked for them for years and retired, now refuses to darken their doorway because she is of the same opinion.

HOWEVER, Walmart provides JOBS that pay more than minimum wage. They offer employee discounts as well as benefits for full time workers. No one HAS to work there and if a person needs a job, it is better than NO job. At the very least, a person can work there while looking for a better position AND they offer low prices for shoppers. I don’t necessarily like them, but I appreciate them.

WALMART – WAY TO GO!!!! PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!!!

    • how come your wonderful employee friend faced the hated walmart for time long enough to retire. it makes one wonder why such a wonderful employee could not find a better paying with top notch benefits. dare i pose one possibility———-she couldn’t get one because she wasn’t a desireable enough employee to another company

      • try thinking deeper. A lot of people get caught up in jobs they don’t like because each year that goes by is another year they have invested in the company. They also dred the interview process as they haven’t done it for years.

        • @ jbjanes , I don’t think so . If you can’t ” take the fire ” , so to speak , most people don’t think that way . The longer you stay in a job that you don’t like , it’s more likely that you don’t have skill for the job that you think you should have , A lot of people can’t understand that . And wonder why they can’t find the job they want .

  8. Nice going Wally-Mart, the union thuggs have learned that it is easy to make more enemies than friends by acting like deemers of the jackkass party and harrassing clientel, customers and places of biz the public supports….You folks in those unions had better start voting each year on how much you pay in dues, right now the union leadership is squandering your hard earned money and is going to cost you your jobs…

    • @ ONTIME , I don’t think you understand how the union works . All that money that the union gets for their members , be it 14 dollars a hour , or 70 dollars an hour , it’s THEIR money , not the member . That due is to let you work that day . They , the union , will even tell their members that ” if it wasn’t for the union , you wouldn’t have that job ” . And then do on that the ” due ” should be higher . Right now , the ” due ” is 3% of what they make a week . So , if you pull in , let’s say an even thousand , and your membership is up to 30,000 , and then you wonder how they can send a million to the Democrat party . They are taking at least three times of that every month . And , I wonder how many of their members , ever wondered how the CEO of the union , can make 1.5 million a year . Or more .

  9. Walmart, never cave in. If you stand for your principles and never cave in you will win in the end.

  10. So was LeSellers’ post @ 2:03 p.m. being sarcastic by putting a semi-colon after “That” instead of an apostrophe?

  11. Although I agree with some of these comments. Let us not forget Walmart destroyed thousands upon thousands of small business “mom & pop” businesses by buying cheap china made crap and selling it to the US at astronomical profits!!! Destroying america made business and boosting china’s economy in one fell swoop!! So keep with your concrats of walmart; MORONS!!!

    • well you can go to the mom & pop stores to pay higher prices for smaller selection of products.. i am personally feeling the pinch with rising health, gas prices etc therefore i must choose walmart——you can be more understatanding of mom & pop than i—-possibly earn more or have inherited a nice cushion from someone

    • @ wozzysway , well then , perhaps you should know that it’s a FREE country , and you can sell cheaper than ” mom & pop ” store , it’s CALLED ” ENTERPRISE ” capitalism . To that end , the ” mom & pop ” will charge you at least twice than a bigger store will . You will pay the freight , and then some . I don’t think you understand capitalism , and how they can create jobs . How many people will your ” mom & pop ” store will have a job ? Maybe one or two , and you have to be a family . And , still in High School , to boot .

      • @warcheif65 You are absolutely right… it is a free country and you can spend your money where you want to. I would never infringe upon your right to do so. What I am saying is this…..when we buy foreign and not home grown; we lose PERIOD. I understand capitalism very well and applaud it. I also understand self destruction very well and condemn it. That is what we are doing; self destructing. As far as creating jobs go, walmart did not create jobs, they merely replaced the jobs gone because of them. But then again maybe some people are not suited to be productive and it’s better for them (and us to) if their day is spent repeating “Welcome to walmart, did you find everything you need?”

        • BTW….How do you think you get that stuff so cheap? China has no labor laws. They work their people to death for very little pay, ungodly hrs, stacked together in dorms that are unlivable by our standards, but hey as long as I can buy a pair of $2 jeans for $50; it’s all good right?

  12. Good for Wal Mart to stand up against the Union thugs I’ll stand with Wal Mart

  13. What’s so “snarky” about telling the truth? Walmart’s comments on these fake protests (most of these “protesters” were bussed in and had no affiliation with Walmart) told it like it is. These thugs will not go away quietly so I hope no one at Walmart seriously considers making deals with these devils. Anyone with half a brain knows this is all about union dues, enriching the bosses more than they already are, power and Demoncrap campaign contributions.

  14. The comments here notwithstanding, I find it odd that in my “face to face” experiences regarding Walmart has revealed that the vast majority of people who hate Walmart, and claim that the company is abusive, have never worked there, meanwhile the Walmart employees I have spoken with, away from the store, have some complaints about the company but most are minor complaints and the folks I spoke with do appreciate the paycheck.
