Before playing a perfectly reasonable quote from Gov. Rick Perry where he praises the growth of civil rights in the United States over the decades and discusses the continuing promise of economic freedom for people of all races and ethnicities, NBC News anchor Chris Jansing claimed that Perry was comparing the civil rights struggles with corporate tax rates. But, that’s not what Perry did at all. Here is the full quote from Perry. Do you see any mention of “corporate tax rates”?:
America’s gone a long way from the standpoint of civil rights and thank God we have. I mean, we’ve gone from a country that’s made great strides in issues of civil rights. I think we all can be proud of that. And as we go forward, America needs to be about freedom. It needs to be about freedom from over taxation, freedom from over-litigation, freedom from over-regulation. And Americans, regardless of what their cultural or ethnic background is, they need to know that they can come to America and you got a chance to have any dream come true, because the economic climate is going to be improved.
By the way, notice the “I have a scheme” down on the lower left? It seems the MSM is scared of Perry and are on full attack mode.

MSNBC isn't the only ones who are afraid of Perry; I too have very ill feelings about this Globalist. I will never vote for Perry, and I doubt most voters will. I fear that he, and most of our candidates, will be a continuation of the Bush/Obama presidency. Ron Paul is the only candidate I will support, and I am not about to tolerate my Republican Party giving me another Juan McLame from which to choose. I still feel that the plan is to ensure Obama remains, for he will surely complete the destruction of the United States, and then they can send him back to Kenya. Perry's obvious love of massive immigration will guarantee our destruction and the dividing of the United States between Canada and Mexico, with very little left to Patriot Americans. Really poor journalism! Ms. Jansing is really nothing more than a political hack! When one's intellect is so dishonest, that she allows herself to smear others whom she doesn't really know, that usually carries over into other areas of one's life. I guess one can't trust her in anything. She would say the same thing about me, and she doesn't even know me. But then, she is just reading what the producers write. But then, if she is willing to do that, she really doesn't care. But if it happened to her, she would be overwhelmed and deeply hurt. She's probably blame George W. Bush!

I was watching the show as it aired. Yes I sometimes watch MSNBC while waiting for the start of my preferred programs… I had to rewind and replay several times after her comments as I thought that I had surely missed something in his remarks. Then I had my wife watch a couple of replays to be sure I wasn't just having an off day. She's a far gentler critic than I am, but she said that the two women must be suffering from some form of mental illness.
Garbage journalism like this stems from utter desperation. The liberals aren't in "attack" mode – they're in "panic" mode.
