Constitutional Attorney John Whitehead, who represented wrongly-incarcerated marine Brandon J. Raub for free, appeared on Glenn Beck’s program to talk about how Brandon is unfortunately not alone in many ways.

Why do I get the feeling that these “vets” who are being “rounded up” are ‘played’ by their own attorneys, Glen Beck or Alex Jones, and this and that other fool who is working on increasing their own public profile, at the expense of these patsies. I am not impressed, that these people are inciting the weak-minded or the vulnerable, knowing that there is no decent outlet (i.e. a place to have a decent truthful political discussion, and to fully participate politically – hence cases such as Raub. The whole thing’s a pitiful joke!

I’m referring to any cynical exploitation made of anyone, who is in the services generally or military specifically. If there if there are 20,000+ vets being ’rounded’ up for airing strong views, this is wrong. There should be a safety net, and a defence barrier, so that if these anti-citizen actions are taken, then there is a powerful opposition to prevent this nonsense happening. On the other hand, if there are people who are truly mentally unstable, then they should be given genuine help, and NOT mixed up with citizens who are participating politically.
The only reason they want to round-up the veterans is because we had weapons training and we know how to use our weapons and we’re true to our God and our Country. They said vets are the enemy. Why ? They go by and uphold the constitution. They love our country and citizens and will protect this nation. They,the majority would never turn on the American people. That is why he wants his own civil military, as strong as and well funded as our real military. We depend on our military to defend America and her citizens.

No matter what the outcome on this, Brandon Raub’s facebook page does reflect that of an emotionally disturbed man, who could any minute snap and do something that would cause everyone to ask why he was not stopped, when all the signs were there.
I am a right wing Christian activist. I have spoken out big time against Obama and other liberals in our government. I don’t hold back on how I feel about them. But I don’t post things online like Brandon Raub posts. My comments online are not of a threatening nature to anyone. And no one has ever shown up at my door, to take me away.
And I do not want a person like Brandon Raub being associated with the right wing movement.
When such a person loses it and does something terrible, it is going to be those who defend such a person, who are looked at as being like him.
People need to think and ask themselves, if they really want to defend a person who made the comment, “Sharpen up my axe; I’m here to sever heads.” He posted that on his facebook page.
If a liberal had posted that on a facebook page, we would be all over that person.

I thank God for our Veterans.
What a courageous bunch. Young people thrust into ‘eye-opening’ and ‘heart-rendering’ experiences on behalf of our nation and then – many times – ridiculed for such.
It seems good to remind ‘all’ that we’ve also been indoctrinated by films such as Stallone’s which portray them as mentally unstable and ‘dog-like’ in their obedience. I suggest to all that we stop entering into thinking with our feelings being manipulated by media over the past 50 years (that ‘I’ personally know of) and think rationally – rather than with ‘knee-jerk’ reactionary words.
Guys. If we don’t stand together physically and in intellectually balanced ways on many issues – we’re doomed to failure – but, I feel certain that with contemplation, with prayer and with decisive action – we will prevail.

I have to agree with Debra on this one. I consider myself to be a constitutional conservative, a Christian, and a staunch supporter of our veterans. However, this young man clearly had some issues, and worse, posted them openly on FB, which we all know is monitored. It was just a matter of time before he did something horrible, which would be used to point the finger at “them dangerous, extreme right-wing radicals”. His language and clear threats on his FB page were his own doing. He was screaming for attention and he got it. We will probably never know the true details of his arrest. But if it ends up getting him the help he so clearly needs and saving lives down the road, so be it. He is STILL an honored vet and I hope is being treated as such. This article/ video was just a tool used by his attorney and presented by Beck as a scare tactic story. He’s behaving no better that the liberal media.

As usual we are targets for the Democruds ! Liberal Political Machine. And it will get worse as less and less of these “Mommas Boys!” who run the goverment political machine. Have not served in the Military…. They Dont understand, Honor, Pride, and dedication to Country ,Service, & Family that a military man has. And the only thing we are taught to defend is our country “Against all enemies foriegn and Domestc !” They only want and need us when things go bad!!!!!! With their Agenda we are evidently in their way????? “In God we trust ! Men have their own Agenda !”
Why would any red-blooded American vote for this guy, unless they are muslim, gay or socialists/marxists, or black, and I really don’t understand why a person of color would vote for this guy. With the national debt being so high, they are about to lose their government benefits.
This is pretty much what Acorn had pulled on me in 1999. And the worst part is I was never a Marine, I had Had served and had the training, They would have had to kill me. They came close as I was beaten unconscious, in my office and slandered on the news in New Orleans. Fortunately I did not lose my license to practice my business but for years I was threatened.
