After spending the past decade guiding and counseling employees of luxury car manufacturer Bentley, a Christian chaplain was unceremoniously fired in an apparent attempt to avoid offending those of other faiths.
To add insult to the dismissal, Bentley let the reverend go just days before Christmas.
“It is just beyond belief,” the chaplain said, explaining his role was not limited to helping Christians.
His job at Bentley was not proselytizing, he explained, noting he provides “counseling to workers who have stresses at home such as broken marriages” and strives to help individuals of all faiths.
“Everyone thinks it is quite ridiculous,” he continued. “There have been no complaints against me and my position is to help people and not just those who are Christians.”
Without forewarning, he said his superiors instructed him to vacate the premises to make room for what the company calls “a multi-faith outlook.”
The chaplain’s former employer might be worried about offending a vocal minority, but Bentley has now upset a great number of employees instead.
A group of workers signed a petition to reinstate the chaplain and, as one of his supporters said, “Everyone is really angry about it.”
According to a retired employee who witnessed the chaplain’s work, he was dedicated to his job and “was there for a lot of people.” He recalled one particular incident involving a suicidal coworker, explaining the reverend “turned him around.”
There is obviously no mandate forcing companies to employ Christian chaplains and it is the prerogative of Bentley executives to fire whomever they so choose. This does present a case study in shortsighted decisions many leaders make to appease rabble rousers.
A man trying to better himself by helping those around him was fired on the spot because some with different religious beliefs objected to his presence. As one thinks of the countless agencies—many of which consist of fire, rescue, and other high-risk professions that offer the services of a chaplain—it becomes clear such positions are vulnerable everywhere they exist.

I am not a woman of means but I have friends who are and I would consider discouraging them from buying a Bentley. There are so many alternatives!
I say, since there seems to be so much intolerance towards Christians by people of other faiths and non religious people (and when I say other faiths, we all know the other faith that has a problem with Christians in none other than rag headed muslims. You don’t hear the hindu’s, buddist, taoists or any other faiths attacking and complaining about the Christian faith being displayed in America.
Look into any case and one will find that the ones complaining about Christian influence in schools, public properties, government properties and company properties are complaints from either the non religious or the muslims. How did we get to here? I believe it is largely due to immigration practices of the US over the decades. People migrate here with their muslim faiths and/ or their non religious faiths knowing full well that here in America we have references to God all throughout our daily life.
God is referenced in our blessing before meetings,
God is mentioned in our oaths of any office or public positions,
God is referenced when taking the bench or making testimony in our courts
God is referenced in our pledge of allegiance,
God is referenced in our nation anthem,
God is referenced in and on our government buildings architecture,
God is referenced on our currency both coin and paper.
Immigrants know full well of this when coming here knowing these facts, yet they still come here and once here they try to change this Country to accommodate them rather than adapting or accepting Americas way of life. If they don’t like Americas traditions and culture, then they should go back where they come from if they are not happy with their new life here in this Country. However, because we have such dumbed down Americans running this Country, The Government has allowed these people to come to this Country and bends over backwards to appease the minorities rather than the majorities. By doing so, these immigrants infiltrate our schools, colleges and government offices and from there they try to manipulate and brainwash the naive young minds which are very easy to manipulate by teaching them little by little that muslim faith is the only true faith and all other faiths are fairy tales including the above stated religions but especially the Christian faith because that is the biggest threat to muslims.
An example of how we try to appease the minorities and go way out of our way to accommodate them
over the majority, look at lengths we go to appease the hispanics. When it comes to spanish language, we have implemented the spanish language in just about every aspect of our life to accomodate these immigrants rather than telling them, if they want to live and move around this nation with ease, it is their responsibility to learn the language spoken in this nation rather than the nation trying to accomodate some 12 – 16% of the population. By doing so, we have had to spend twice the amount of money not to mention resources as to print documents, advertisements, policies, rules and regulations and furthermore all the recordings for phone services. It all cost money for additional paper, inks, paints, metal for bigger or additional signs on streets and highways and so on and it costs money to pay for people to prerecord not only in english but in Spanish as well. What are we going to do when we acquire 12 – 16% of Asian people in this Country? They even had the audacity to try to institute ebonics as a recognized language before.
Then we got tree huggers and environmentalist complaining about global warming and things like this, then out of the other side of their mouth they say we should try to accommodate all the special interest groups and minority groups. By doing so they are invoking more global warming by causing the need for more trees to be cut down to supply the additional paper products, for books, forms, instructions pamphlets and so on along with more mining for the metals for additional signs to post multiple languages that they claim is disturbing the environment and wildlife, and chemicals into the environment in order to produce the additional inks, dyes and paints to print the additional languages and lets not forget the additional fuels and other energy resources needed.
Such as the gas and diesel fuels to cut trees down, mine metals, then the energy resources used at the steel factories for the furnaces and foundry areas and paint factories and fuel and factory emissions added to the environment from trucks, tractors and earth movers for the additional signs.
Conclusion, it is time to put an end to trying to accommodate each and every culture, language, race, gender, sexual preference and religion on this planet and the burden by which it costs our nation to do so.
All it does is add laws, waste resources and additional pollution to the environment just to accommodate minoirty and special interest groups rather than making them take personal responsibility to educate them self and adapt to their surroundings.
Bentley needs to reallies that Christianity, is the Fastest growing Religion in the world. Maybe they have a A-HOLE of a CEO……
HA, shove your Bentley. I’ll buy a Mercedes or a Jag.
