WASHINGTON (OfficialWire) — House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is joining the growing list of Republicans who say the party needs to broaden its political appeal.
The Virginia Republican, appearing on CBS’s “This Morning,” previews a major policy address he’ll give Tuesday to the conservative-oriented American Enterprise Institute, saying the GOP must “explain why we’re doing what we’re doing.”

Wow, I though he was different. In battle we see peoples true colors, but when thinking about Cantor, he is from the east coast and he is a Jew, go figure. A person named George Soros comes to mind, when he sold out his people for money and power during WW2. What ever he can do to stay in power and retain his position, because God knows everyone want’s to work for doing nothing or as little as they can, and if the times change for a day or two we also must be chameleons as well. This is really disappointing, I really thought he was different….NO CANTOR!…We stick to our guns because all of these polls are bull !!!! I don’t know where they are polling from but it’s not from America, well maybe South America.
The Republican Party should be able to broaden its political base without having to pander to blocs of ethnic voters. Treating people as blocs based on ethnicity, religion, sex, etc. is a Demofascist tactic that the Republicans unfortunately bought into. The Party used to be about principles of small government and laissez faire capitalism. Establishment Republicans abandoned those principles long ago because the main channels of information distribution, the media, film and education, are controlled by the Left. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The Republicans could go a long way to turning things around by simply putting out messages that illustrate the huge gulf between Democrat principles and the actual values of the typical American voter. Most people keep voting the party line because they don’t recognize the disconnect between their party and their values. Keep hammering the differences home.
Jen I was going to put my 2 cents worth in here, but you said it all. To the GOP, “broaden appeal” translates into “suck up to all the ethnic & other special interest groups”, thereby building on what the Dems are already doing…destroying the very fabric of America. The GOP’s clear intent to run Marco Rubio, by any account ineligible to hold the office of President, speaks volumes. It’s like both parties are in a race to see who can get the furthest left the fastest. I’m still waiting for a Constitution Party to appear to take the place of what was once the Republican party. The GOP is self-destructing, and the left is all giddy about it.
The Republican party need to first clean house and get rid of it’s RINO’s, they then need to educate the African American’s and the Latino’s on history, starting with which party started the KKK and which party pushed the Jim Crow Laws through and how those laws impacted African American’s.
They also need to stick together and support one another as the Democrats do, if they do these three things they might have a chance in taking control of the Senate and maintaining control of the House. If they chose not to do any of what I recommended above, they will soon become the minority in both Houses and be put on the shelf of history to collect dust.
