I went to see 2016: Obama’s America. Dinesh D’Souza wrote, stars in, directed, narrates, and did the original research for it. If we look at this from the point of view of its success as a documentary, I think it is effective. It is making money in theaters. This is amazing for a documentary. It is a campaign year documentary, and it is a good one.
It is also dead wrong. That is because it misses the fundamental political fact of the last dozen yeas: the Obama Administration is the operational successor of the Bush Administration. In Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Guantanamo, on Wall Street, Barack Obama is George W. Bush in blackface. Obama is the star of a twenty-first century minstrel show.
This fact has been deliberately ignored for almost four years by both the neoconservative Right and the grin-and-bear-it Left. Neither side will admit what I regard as the fundamental fact of this documentary. It is a long whitewash of the policies of George W. Bush.
THE ON-BUDGET DEFICIT
If you understand this early, you can see it in what is by far the best section of the movie. It appears at the end. It is an interview with the ever-eloquent David Walker, who resigned in 2008 from his job as Comptroller General — senior accountant — of the United States.
This date is crucial: the last year of the Bush Administration.

After seeing this movie, this is what you can away with? I think the media has somehow seared George W. Bush into the minds of far too many people. He’s gone and his record is what it is. I think Bush screwed up, because he abandoned his principles. but Obama is even worse because he is following HIS principles. The message of “2016″ is Obama’s ideological leanings. Frankly, the DVD, “Dreams from my Real Father” does a better job of it and is more accurate but the actions of Obama are best explained by his life experience and who his friends and confidences were. He’s from Hawaii but became a powerful politician from Chicago. How does that happen and why? Well, for starters, that’s the home base of CPUSA.
Hogwash and bullcrap. Bush may have made mistakes, but Obama has many different intentions that will throw us into the New World Order faster than you can say communists, socialists, leftists, liberals, progressives and nazi’s.

The point is that both ‘Bush’ and ‘whateverhewantstocallhimselftoday’ are empty suits cut from the same cloth.

It’s ‘kinda like’ that line of Mel Gibson’s in Conspiracy Theory – remember that one? When the taxi driver character is on the bus – he gives yet another ‘rant’ about ‘they’ being enemies – but, at the upper echelons – the ‘enemies’ are really ‘friends’ and he goes on and on… if you listen (which is admittedly tough to do) one can see/hear that’s exactly how this ‘set up’ of the two party system in the USA has been compromised…sayyyyyy…. for the past 100 plus years…? I guess Obama’s position in life is forever changed because of Bush, Jr. He’s got a life time scapegoat.
I can hear his departng speach now, “If it hadn’t of been for Bush I could have been elected for a second term”.
Still………..blaming Bush? Good grief, get over it. He wasn’t perfect. I can’t recall too many politicians that were/are. But Ovomit had the first 2 years of an overwhelming Democratic Senate. He did nothing except what his full intentions are anyway for his new regime. Get everyone dependent upon government handouts, take away all of our rights and freedoms, and become Dictator of the New World Order. That was the jest of the movie. Ovomit is anti-colonialist, and he wants everyone to pay for a few wrong doer’s. Instead of appreciating America for being the land of opportunities for all that are born, or come here “legally”, he wants to rule and punish. He is a very sick individual.

A DVD by Joel Gilbert, distributed by Highway61.com, titled “Dreams from my Real Father” is the documentary you want to see. $20 incl S&H. Franklin Marshall Davis was really Obama’s father. Davis was a member of CPUSA in Chicago and went to Hawaii to organize for the communists there. While there he had a relationship with Obama’s mother. This is just a tidbit to answer a question that no one seems to ask, how does a black/white kid from Hawaii end up a powerful politician in Chicago. You have to cred there, you just don’t skate past everyone else in Chicago.

Contrary to conventional wisdom, I say Obama WAS prepared for the Presidency…just not OUR American Presidency.
With a sound majority in both Houses of Congress by like minded Liberals (from 2008 to 2010), he sure accomplished an awful lot for being “unprepared”. Given his socialist/communist upbringing (no matter who his father was) from mostly his mother as well as other very influencial people, I say he was very prepared to carry out the gradual dismantling of our American way of life.
For an “unprepared President”, he sure has done alot of damage, both foreighn and domestic.
Those who have not frequently investigated the sneaky techniques how the old, never worked, “love affair” with Communists are basically lazy or don’t know how to use any Library book-finding system.

I went to see the movie, It wasn’t as hard hitting as i thought it would be. The media will not look into Obamas past for love nor money. They will look over gaffs, lies and what ever, just to not have to look into Obama and discover the lack of transparency he said there would be.
2016, looked at his past. That would be enough of a red flag for a normal news media to Vet Obama, it was a well know news Anchor who said, “We still don’t know who Obama is”
If you don’t like Obama 2016 won’t make you dislike him more, it’s just reconfirms, and if your a Obama kool-aid drinker, you not going to change your mind and become a stronger supporter.
With all the communist Mentors he had shaping his childhood, I’m a firm believer that America’s down fall will come from the inside not caused by another country.
I have no qualms with rich people, I’m glad they are there. I’ve never been hired by a poor man. I’m a carpenter by trade, I’ve worked hard for every thing I have. I expect no one to “Give me” anything. I’m in charge of me,my family and our welfare. All I ask for is not to divide the country, Pit rich against everyone else.
My Grandfather came here in 1903 from Germany, his words to my Grandmother was, ” Ida,We have to learn English, because we are going to live in America”
America is a world leader we have been failed by Obama, His policy’s ,his leadership and lack thereof and his lack of knowledge of experience of how a economy works, He came with zero experience to lead the #1 nation in the world.
But ….America proved we were not racist by electing him, I just hope we can prove we are not stupid by re-electing him.
The Movie 2016, should be a wake up call, but it didn’t hit the real points that needs to be addressed.

I agree with markinhawaii regarding the movie 2016. It could have been even more hard hitting. Having said that, this opus by D’Sousa does not deserve the disingenuous sniping by Gary North.
If WCFJ continues to publish gratuitous snipes like this, I am out of here.
P.S.: 2016 is about the future under Obama. It is not about the historical errors of George Bush.
Having read this story, I find myself wondering why it was really written. You make good points about what was covered and what was glossed over or left out. But is that really the underlying story? We have heard non-stop about GW and all his foibles, covering them in this film would not make a difference. It was written to express a point of view regarding Obama, it was not made to explain why Obama is only a dupe, and I disagree with the contention that D’Souza was baiting George about his brothers lack of support. Georges answer that his brother has weightier matters to be concerned with, fall flat in the face of Obama’ world wide travelling, unrelenting golf holidays, final-4 handicapping and his hobnobbing with celebrities. It is a stretch of galactic proportions to say he could not take a minute to Western Union a few bucks to his brother, whether George had a plan for the money or not. A person that criticizes wealthy people for ignoring the poor is a profound hypocrite for not taking care of a person that resides directly under the umbrella of his own family.
OR maybe George is NOT his brother. Because Franklin Marshall Davis is really Obama’s father. “Dreams from my Real Father” a DVD by Joel Gilbert connects the dots in the background of this bizarre man, Barack Obama, and his bizarre Father, a high ranking member of CPUSA in Chicago.
If you go back to his college days at Columbia U. He is following the manifesto of Professors Cloward and Pivens, who show how to destroy the US from the inside out. First by overwhelming the country with debt. Getting everyone possible on government handouts. Everything Ovomit is doing is right out of the teachings of Cloward and Pivens. including Saul Olinsky. He’s got to go or we are toast.
That’s exactly correct. This is also brought out in the DVD, “Dreams from my Real Father”. Alinksy dedicated his book to lucifer, that tells you a lot.
