Perhaps it’s presidents running down the whole laundry list of issues, but it seems to me the last dozen or so State of the Union speeches by presidents could put a galaxy of insomniacs to sleep.
Originally, the State of the Union was the president talking to Congress. Now we all know no one from the Senate or the House is going to move a new inch by anything the president says in his speech.
It’s just a dog and pony show. It’s also a chance for the president to talk to the television audience. That’s the real event. The president’s on TV.
It’s a stage play and it closes the night it opens. The script is always too long. It should have been cut by nine-tenths in rehearsals.
The droning of the laundry list is, of course, a reflection of the fact that big government has its paws and nose in every facet of our lives. I was waiting for Obama to talk about an adequate supply of toilet paper and paper towels in public-park restrooms, and the danger of pictures of guns brought to school.

What one says and does are two different things. Obama needs to be IMPEACHED for breaking the laws of our country and not making false State of the Union address.
All I can say is as time goes by he LOSES more of his Power, Lets HOPE he does.
I honestly think he is gaining power by arming the muslim brotherhood and others. We The People can only hope i’m wrong and your right.
What a fantastic post! That completely sums up what our life has become . I just cannot force myself to watch anything ovomit says. I cringe everytime I hear his disgusting voice or see his hideous face! It only reminds me of nothing but corruption,destruction and evil. It is so very sad and painful to watch what he has and is still doing every minute of every day and night and we let him get away with it,I just don’t get it!

JoAnn, I agree with you entirely.. The most sickening thing is the number of Democrats that are still applauding a and making idiots of themselves. One positive thing is: You rarely see a military person, retired or active that supports this, Commander In Chief. I hope I live long enough to see justice prevail and bring corrective action and punishment the Media as well as the political leaders who are betraying this Country..
dozer .I worry about our military when he is addressing the military i see those ignorant soldiers busting their ass to shake his hand do they not see what he is doing . I would never shake his hand or speak to him . I might shake his hand just to be able to spit a big gubber in my hand before i shake his hand.
Why is it that no one in Congress or the Senate have no balls. Why cannot one of them have the courage to do the right thing which is to charge him with High Crimes or put him up for Impeachment? Do it and if he puts this country to martial law or whatever and lets get things going. If it starts a civil war, so be it. I have been trying to get my representative to do something, but it seems as though Tom McClintock may make a great speech but nothing beyond that happens. The longer we wait, the more powerful barry will get.
ajetboatman- I agree with you 100% I’m 71 in poor health and a vet and would give my life to see him taken down while I’m alive. I try not feel this way about people but i can’t stand the sight of him when he appears on TV i will change chancels before he opens his mouth i have never had so much hate for anyone in my life . They are suppose to start impeachment proceeding tomorrow so i hear will wait and see. KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY.

Ambassador STEVENS CALLED THAT HORRIBLE 9/11 BEGGING FOR HELP. Three times the CIA was told to STAND DOWN. Emails sent requesting MORE SECURITY over the past 3 weeks before the SLAUGHTER and RAPE of Ambassador Stevens. NOPE, they didn’t get the help they so desperately needed. Then what does BO do??? YEP, goes to Las Vegas the next morning. WOW, nothing like being a narcissus. Always thinking about doing what his COMMUNIST DADDY WANTED. Destroy America. BO has committed many treasonous acts against America and Americans. He needs to be IMPEACHED.
Frankly, I feel people of this country are afraid of Obama. Look how he’s snooping into everyone’s email… I wondered when he first became President… I saw a pic of him sitting at a table with several others but the one I noticed the most was Zuckerberg… So that told me he either was going to track all emails unfavorable to him.. or he had something in mind which he figured Zuckerberg would favor him in some political way….
I also wish he could talk without a teleprompter….. then and only then every one could see how stupid he is when talking… If he didnt have speech writers and that teleprompter… it would show him to be a blumbering idiot.
