  1. Gotta love it. The only reason Willard is two-faced is that he hasn’t yet figured out how to get a third one in there.

  2. I copied an excerpt from the book: CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS, which has a complete documented record of Romney’s business and leadership performance and brings all of his skeletons out of his closet for public view (I don’t think the author Tricia Erickson will mind).

Everyone needs to get this book because Part II has all of our homework done for us on Romney:

Not all ventures helped the companies and their employees however. Romney’s team purchased a stake in DDi Corporation in 1997. In 2000 Bain Capital took the company public reaping a cool $36 million in profit. Romney sold his shares for $4.1 million. Soon after, however, DDi saw its stock plummet and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2003, where 2100 workers lost their jobs. (LA Times, Bob Drogin)

Bain and DDi eventually settled a class action lawsuit that awarded $4.4 million to shareholders. (Romney was not named in the suit). According to the Los Angeles Times, the suit “argued that DDi was poorly managed and ‘hemorrhaging cash’ before the stock offering, court records show.”(LA Times, Bob Drogin)

  3. I will not vot for Romney or any other former or present Big Business executive as these are the people who are influencing our Government in Congress today with their lobbiest. I am strictly against any lobbying of any candidate that has the power to change laws to assist any Big Business prosper. We need more canadates like Ron Paul that has never (in his 25 plus years in Congress) voted for a raise for Congressmen. Ron Paul has made it very clear our Congressmen are overpaid and should pay into Social Security, get their own health insurance and have not pention after serving only one term. That is what our Congress and Senate is doing today. When you quit any job, why should you continue to be paid, especially if it is funds coming from the back of American taxpayers.

    • damudbug,

Please get the facts: 1) NO ONE in Congress needs to vote for a raise because those are automatic every year. The only thing they do is vote not to accept a raise for that year. 2) Congressmen DO pay into Social Security, and if Ron Paul says they don’t, he is lying and should be investigated. 3) Congressmen DO NOT get a pension after serving only one term. The amount of their pensions is based on how many years they were in office, and they do not draw those benefits until they reach retirement age. They do not “quit a job and then continue to be paid”.

But why should “one-term retirment” be an issue? The real problem is that Congressmen have made a career out of the job and stay there for 20-40 years. That is what needs to be changed because term limits would solve several problems such as getting too cozy with lobbyists, insider trading, jaunts around the world at taxpayer expense under the guise of “fact-finding”, etc.

      • There’s another side to term limits. Human nature being what it is, about the only thing holding a politician to his word is concern about his chances of being re-elected. You take that away, they’ll grab all they can with both hands when they hit their limit without so much as a fare-thee-well, selling pardons and the like on the way out the door, much like a lame duck president.

I think the “facts” may turn out to be closer to what damudbug has em. maybe YOU should check. I’m not a federal employee so am not well versed, but…
