If you have a roof or driveway, you just might pay a rain tax!
If a domesticated bird, his perch was sequentially provided with bars, soon he would find itself in a cage, and by that time it would be too late to realize that it has lost all its freedom. That is exactly what is happening to us.
If the government can charge me for the rain that falls–a natural event- -can I, because I live in drought stricken Texas, sue the federal government because it DOES NOT RAIN? It appears that it is my fault if it rains, so then is it the government’s fault when it does NOT rain? If I pay to put up rain gutters, why can’t I sue because I don’t get to use them for which they were designed?
It was stated on FOX yesterday that this Maryland joke of a tax will cost more than the income tax. I don’t know if that meant state or fed but no one needs this attempt to tax the country into prosperity…
vote these commies out
I live in Washington state. A couple of years ago, they passed a bill that makes it against the law to collect rain water. I believe it is the same for Utah and Colorado also. Then there was some story about a man in Oregon that was fined because he has ponds on his property and was collecting water from them to use for his lawn, etc. He was fined. I guess the government owns everything now, or so they think. Soon it will be our food from our own gardens. (I think that one was Cass Sunsteins idea a long time ago.) What next? The air? Dear God. Since this is “your” property, please fine obama to another planet. This vile creature is not of this earth. Thank you. God Bless.
I live in Colorado Springs , Colorado. Two or three years ago the city passed a law that to bill us for all of our concrete sidewalks and walkways and the concrete foundations of all our buildings. This was because when it rained the water couldn’t sink into the ground. So we were all billed a fee which could be paid Quarterly or in full. You actually got a bit of a discount if you paid in full. We had this fee for three or four years before someone finally took them to court and it was ruled illegal. A lot of people refused to pay a dime from the get go. However, most of us paid this bill religiously . The city refused to give us our money back. I think the bill was added to our regular utilities bill. It was called Storm Water or something on that line. For many years they also billed all citizens for new street lighting. Once you give them a little bit of power, they just won’t let go.
This is the “taxation without representation” BS that the British under King George did to us in the 1700s. Obozo and his EPA are over-reaching their power and stealing, what they call “taxing,” the American taxpayer to death. Is a revolution in the near future?
What a crock of BS. the Quran demands you lie to the infidel…
Next the Liberals will be taxing the air that we breath. This is just getting freaking ridiculous, It’s time for a history lesson folks, What was the main cause of the Revolutionary War? Tea taxes, lumber taxes, textile taxes, tax, tax, tax. The colonist are no where near tax what we are now being taxed by our local, state, and federal governments. I’d say someone better start reading some history. Oh wait maybe that why our government has purchase over a billion rounds of ammo, armored vehicles, and is declaring right conservatives as domestic terrorist.
