I am sure that at this point in the history of our American Republic, one thing stands out. The Congress of the United States of America is nothing more than a group of SPINELESS COWARDS. We the people have elected this select group to represent our values and to protect and defend the United States Constitution, as well as uphold it.
Thanks to their inaction to do the job that WE hired them to do,we now have a communist wanna-be dictator running roughshod over America and everything that she stands for. From the day that they take their place in their seats in our government’s three branch system, they start their re-election campaigns. The American people who put them in office have simply been hung out to dry.
How many times has the communist Obama circumvented Congress now in the past three years? Their inaction is very telling as to what the state of our great Nation is at this point. They are nothing but spineless cowards. I am sure that the majority of Americans share the same feelings at this point. We are paying for a SERVICE that we have NOT received.
We the People must stand and unite and DEMAND that our “hired help” start doing their jobs. If this group of do-nothings was hired in the private sector, they would all be on unemployment benefits by now, alongside the millions of Americans they were elected to represent. Instead, they get a lavish lifestyle, insider stock trading deals, large expense accounts, and a golden benefits package. All at taxpayer expense. It’s no wonder why they live in a bubble in the shining city on the hill.
The time has come for the American people to stand up and hold these people accountable. We need to give them a choice. Stand up and do your jobs, or you’re FIRED! Enough is enough. Stay safe and always be aware of your surroundings.

It has, frequently, come to my mind that there are only TWO scenarios that would explain the utter silence of our “Duly Elected REPRESENTATIVES” re the usurpation of their power and our headlong dash to a (not so) virtual dictatorship:
1, they are totally, willingly complicit with obtaining that end
2, they are coerced by threats of violence or the like into silence
If ANYONE has another option that would explain their deafening silence I would LOVE to hear it!
I believe that the career “Professional Politicians” are completely disconnected from the people who keep re-electing them. I believe that they function in concert with the subversive Socialist DNC by doing nothing to stop the subversion being perpetrated by the DNC. Politicians from both sides of the political aisle get their strings pulled by the CFR, the Tri-Laterals, the Bilderbergers, George Soros, and David Rockerfeller. Politicians from both sides of the political aisle are known to have attended secret meetings of the above groups…the groups who want a One World Government. Communist Nikita Khrushchev was accurate when he said that “We won’t have to go to war with you, we will overcome you from within.” The question is…when will the people finally realize what is happening in our country? Are the average citizens too stupid to comprehend the danger we’re in? Apparently so, because they keep voting in the same old politicians who got us to this point in time of where we now have a Communist inspired President!

They know perfectly well that the US DEBT can´t be paid, and know that Only a criminal type like Obama will be capable of using the military, judiciary and the Fed to shoot and jail in camps already prepared, all of the Angry American Americans. So, the same that happened in Russia, before Gorbatchov and Yeltsin, will happen in the US. Actually, it is already happening., but there exists only one Sheriff Arpaio.

I agree. What does he have to do in order to get congress off their asses to live up to their oaths and get this fraud power-seizing socialist dictator-wanna-be out of office? Does he have to perform one of those “live birth abortions (aka murder) on air during one of his national speeches? Would that prompt them to do anything? Last point – do you think Oblama would have granted amnesty (or whatever code word he used instead) to illegals if they were known to vote Republican 90% of the time? That tells ya all ya need to know.
I believe whatever is happening has been slowly creeping upon us for decades and in my opinion it is nothing but pure evil. Why do we even have a government ? Obama chooses to go around congress and implement ” EXECUTIVE ORDER PRIVILEGES.” and our elected officials choose to do nothing. We need to have “TERM LIMITS”, same as the president. Exposing their personal reputations would be too severe a penalty for them to suffer in defending our freedoms – much more severe than what they expect ouir military members to expose themselves to.

The democrat party has consistently favored racial discrimination, it just switched which race should be discriminated against (they started by discriminating against blacks, now they discriminate against whites)
It was the Democrat Party that welcomed former leaders of the Weather Underground and KKK and Black Panthers into their party.
Every segregationist who ever served in the Senate was a democrat.
The Republican Party was founded for the express purpose of opposing slavery.
It was Republicans who passed the Thirteenth Amendment, granting them citizenship; and Fifteenth Amendment, giving them the right to vote.
It was Republicans who sent federal troops to the Democratic souh to enforce the hard-won rights of the freed slaves.
The Ku Klux Klan was originally formed as a terrorist group to attack Republicans who had come to the Democratic South after the Civil War to help enforce legal equality for free slaves.
It was Republicans who passed the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
Republicans kept introducing federal civil rights bills and Democrats kept blocking them over and over and over throughout history. Republicans passed bills to protect black voters in the South in 1890, antilynching bills in 1922, 1935, and 1938; and anti-poll tax bills in 1942, 1944, and 1946.
Meanwhile, when Democrats won elections, they promptly re-segregated the entire South. In 1913, Democrat Wilson instituted segregation in Washington DC, and summarily dismissed black officials from their federal jobs. President Wilson’s racist policies were fully supported by Democrats in Congress, and angrily denounced by Republicans.
It was republicans who overwhelmingly introduced, promoted, and passed every civil rights act from the end of the Civil War right up to and including the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which incidentally, Al Gore’s father voted against.
The Senate vote on the 1960 Civil Rights Act was 71-18. Every single vote against it came from a Democrat.
Lyndon Johnson voted against every civil rights bill during his tenure in the Senate.
Democrats only came around on civil rights when blacks were voting in high enough numbers to make a difference at the ballot box – and then they claimed credit for everything their party had ferociously blocked since the Civil War.
It baffles me that we’re taught that Democrats are the civil rights champions. They are absolutely the opposite.
First of all, the Republican party was created to be the party against slavery because the Democrats were pro-slavery, and good people knew it was un-Christian and morally wrong. Lincoln was a Repblican, and not in “name only” as so-called scholars are teaching on campuses across the country. You’d never know it by how Republicans are portrayed now, but we were THE anti-slavery party, and we still are.
The very first Republican president freed the slaves and was hated for it. He was consequentially murdered by a Democrat!!!!. How many people know that? It’s been suppressed from history books!
The Republicans also gave the freed slaves 40 acres of land and a mule to work their land..Yep, you guessed it, the Mighty Democratics came along and took back the land and the mules, and returned all of it to the ex-slave owners….

AlwaysRIGHT, not quite. Your “history” is a bit skewed and basically comes from the Yankee propaganda which became prominent during Reconstruction, or more accurately, Redestruction. Racism was far more prevalent in the north than in the south, as observed by Alexis De Tocqueville during and after the war.
Free Soil Without Black People
“It is surprising that so many forceful anti-Negro views could be aired on the frontier and yet escape the scrutiny of so many historians. At the constitutional conventions of almost every western State, the single most pressing question was the admission or status of the black population. “Shall the territories be Africanized? Was the way Senator James Harlan of Iowa phrased it.
Both proslavery and antislavery delegates vied with each other in verbalizing their resentment of black people, and their insistence that equality was entirely unacceptable to white residents of the States. Lincoln freed nobody. The Emancipation Proclamation (you might read it if you never have) declared slaves free where the union had no control, and left them in bondage where it did have control. How is that freeing anyone? It was purely a war measure, and Lincoln stated as much. How can anyone believe Lincoln cared anything for the black race, unless they just swallow the mythology in the communist/public schools and have never read what he actually said: “My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps save the Union.”

The war was about the collection of tariffs, not slavery, as is evidenced here: “Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right, a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world”.

A little over 10 years later after the South attempted precisely that, Lincoln, when asked, “Why not let the South go in peace”? replied; “I can’t let them go. Who would pay for the government”? “And, what then will become of my tariff”?

Karl Marx was on the side of the Union and gave this opinion in British newspapers in 1861:

How can anyone swallow the Kool-Aide that the war was about slavery and freeing the slaves when Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, Kansas, and Nebraska had slaves during the war? These states were not part of the Confederacy. Lincoln laid the foundation to what we have today when he illegally invaded a sovereign nation to force it back into the union for the collection of tariffs (the south furnished 80% of the revenues) and expansion of government. Actual accounts of history need to be read instead of the Yankee propaganda written by liberal south-haters. Even the official U.S. records say not one word about the war being about freeing slaves. As with most wars, it was money.
And the true account of the KKK is known by very few.
The KKK of the 20th century is NOT the same KKK of the Reconstruction period. The original KKK was formed to protect both whites and blacks from the crimes of the Union League which terrorized, raped, and murdered those who would not vote for the Radical Republicans. Southern blacks were given the right to vote while Confederate veterans were disenfranchised. The Southern people had no legal recourse against the terrors of the Union League, so people took the law into their own hands which is how the KKK came about. It should be noted that imitators of the KKK sprang up that committed crimes in order to spread lies and propaganda about the KKK.

Read “Red Republicans and Lincoln’s Marxists” by Al Benson Jr. to get a true grip on how socialism played a big part in the war, and in getting us where we are today. Don’t trust what you were taught in school or see in the movies or on the History Channel as having been completely true. History was rewritten. The facts are there.

Actually about 20 to 25% voted for him. In just about all elections, less than 50% of those eligible even bother to vote. I have been saying it for years. APATHY IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR LIBERTIES AND FREEDOMS. NOT OBAMA.

WinstonSmith, I am beginning to fear that your #1 is correct. The members of Congress cannot be dumb enough to not see what is happening. I believe they are complicit with the socialist direction our country is headed toward. I am very afraid for our Country. That says it all. It has been said that if Term Limits (ONE 4 YEAR TERM) was made into law it would increase governmental production as NONE of them would be running for REELECTION. That word, reelection, is the greatest single word to describe our entire elected government officials corruption and dereliction of duties in office. They lie, cheat, steal and perhaps even kill to get reelected. Take reelection away and crime drops off 99.9 percent and the volunteer citizen legislature does its work and then goes home with no retirement bennies or separation bonuses.
Term Limits is the only answer – Vote only for those who will support Term Limits.

Too many individuals have taken there place in our electoral body politic that have heart felt desires toward greed and hostility (or ignorance) toward the truth. Unfortunately, they have gained access in fulfilling these desires through the political process and their shrewdness is abusive, dishonest, disrespectful, discriminating and dangerous. I think they are highly attracted to our political process in a sick and perverted way. This is how they’ve gained access to affect our virtue, success, sovereignty, freedoms, policies, (etc.) This is also the way we can solve our problems.
I read an article once that credited Americans for their shrewdness (I believe it was from a prominent Chinese leader). It is time that the virtuous citizens (like the Wisconsin governor) be more politically active and shrewd (marked by clever discerning awareness and hard-headed acumen) in order to lead our country in virtue, honesty, and peace. If we have to take a loss in something material, there is no need to create unnecessary havoc. This doesn’t mean we give up fighting for it through the political process though. We must not and cannot lose our religious freedom though – (and there are probably other areas in the documents of our Founding Fathers too – I’m just not a Constitutional scholar to decipher through all of it.) It has been found that as soon as religious liberty stops, personal choice (conscience) and private property rights are taken away. This is one of the most precious of all liberties and letting Obama get even his pinky toe into the door of our religious freedom paves the way for these unjust situations to be put into play.
I agree with you, another two groups that need looked into is The Bilderberg Group and The Council on Foreign Relations, these two groups want The New World Order so bad, a one world government with some a-hole as dictator.
Maybe we should stop paying them! They have not earned their salaries, for whatever reason they want to concoct! they won’t respond to questions about Obama at all about anything. they just sit there looking like owls doing nothing. The tea party evidently wasn’t strong enough when they lost their jobs in 2010. So maybe it is time to stop paying our taxes, until they do something. The seniority system is what kills any effort to be an effective congressperson. New people in Congress are so afraid of the leadership they don’t dare rock the boat by upholding the duties they were sworn to do. We need to elect a whole brand new bunch that will swear to 1.) serve only one term; 2.) reduce their salaries by a full FIFTY percent: 3.) repeal all legislation or regulations that establish a retirement compensation, and free or deeply discounted health insurance. Those who don’t comply with these dictates after being elected will face immediate recall and expulsion from their elected position.
The People are their employers, not the federal government. The theft of government funds and corruption must stop and the one word that causes ALL of the illegal and corrupt activities is REELECTION. Eliminate that word and you eliminate theft and corruption. I know a lot of people will say that it can’t be done. That’s because they are the ones that don’t have an answer to any of our problems and are willing to accept the status quo. There exist a series of proofs, such as: The congress has awarde Obama with total Dictatorial Powers in order to eventually stop the Nationwide protest that shall arise from the almost unsustainable Financial Disaster caused by the WH usurper and cronies, backed by the criminally silent mainstream media. Our example is the meekness of Jesus. The truth can set us free as it has many times in past history. Even coming down to the last wire. These are all efforts to intimidate honest citizens to give up hope. This is there goal and they’re glad to hear it. The true cost for each Senator and Congressman is mind boggling, some have four or five staffed offices throughout their districts and the moment that they get elected they start their re-election campaign. They have become the “do-nothing ” spineless Congress since not one Senator or Congressman will stand up, uphold his oath of office and demand a Congressional investigation on the eligibility of the “Manchurian Candidate” AKE Barry Soetoro, or Barack Obama, using a number of different social security numbers and having spent two million dollars burying his past. Our first clue should have been when he signed his first of over nine hundred plus “Executive Order’s”, sealing any and all documents about his past, he should not be allowed to sign for a Pizza that gets delivered to the White House without proper ID, and unfortunately he simply does not have any proper ID.
What these Congressmen and Senator’s don’t get is that given an opportunity to steal an additional four years playing president, the “Manchurian Candidate” will name himself president for life and once that happens, guess what, there is no further need for Congress and all of the Senator’s and Congressmen will find themselves in some re-education camp. Those that will be deemed unable to be re-educated will be exterminated. It truly amazes me how none of these Congressmen or Senator’s understand that they will not foot into the “New World Order” that the “Manchurian Candidate” has planned for our country.

I met a congressman at the airport once in Houston. I asked him what was wrong with congress that they were not representing the people who elected him. His answer – I am not here to represent them and basically don’t care what they think. I am here to help control them and their lives. I resisted the urge to say more as he would not understand. He did not understand when I walked away shaking my head. I did remember his name and voted against him next election. He is no longer in congress but his attitude still is.

Our congressmen (lower case on purpose) are like the brown-nosers and Yes-men at work. Ever since the 60′s and 70′s, the Love Generation people have been very apathetic. The last years of Nam, and a few years after, the young adults, and I use that term lightly, were so into the Peace and Love movement that Reality didn’t have a chance to make an impression.
In case you don’t think I understand, I graduated High School in 1969. We don’t have reunions, nobody really kept in touch. I didn’t fit in to the crowd I got good grades, was involved in extracurricular activities, and didn’t do drugs, have sex, drink, or join in sit-ins. Remember them?

After reading the majority of the posts here, it seems we are pretty much in agreement that the members in Congress are complicit in the takedown of the United States of America. I think they all should be out of a job, and as soon as that happens, they should all go under the judicial microscope for treason. The wheels of justice grind slow, but they grind exceedingly well when the jury is the people of the USA and not other lawyers. In other words, a jury of not less than 100 should be convened, two from each state without partisan ties to either party, be it DNC or RNC.
Further, I think electing a lawyer to Congress and the higher offices is very much like stacking the government with “good ol’ boys”, and that should be outlawed. Lawyers should be in the Justice department, checking if any laws violate the Constitution of the United States, and they should NOT be allowed to refuse to hear any valid complaint concerning a government official. Moreover, they should not have a ‘tenur’ that says they can stay on for as long as they like without review – that’s unconscionable! If their judgements are faulty, they should be removed from the bench at any time, demoted, even tried by a court of their peers and a jury of ordinary citizens that can overrule a judge if he tries to “direct” a jury to find an accused guilty or not guilty; they judge should only be there to ensure that rules of law are followed.

Because of 40 “reproted” protesters death, Hosni Mubarak was deposed, in order to HAND EGYPT OVER TO THE ISLAMIST BROTHERHOOD, a move planned by Obama and his crowd, including the UN and LYING Amnesty International. Consider this: A Muslim US Army major, shouting “Allahu Akbar” murdered 13 US Army personnel and wounded 35 atg FORT HOOD. He did not manage to murder more because a female MP shot him. Now, the whole world´s media concentrated on Egypt because of the 40 Mubarak´s “innocent victims”; and NOT A WORD WAS REPORTED ABOUT THE 48 US Army victims, because Obama decided to define it as a “Working Place Accident”, in order to defend his Brother in Islam, the wholesale murderer: and the Pentagon accepted the definition. What is it with the American Americans? Aren´t the US Army members lives not worth more than 40 “reported” but not identified Egyptian “victims”?

Is dumbing up our kids. We were once at the top of the world in education. Although our government has thrown huge amounts of money at our Education system, we have dropped to 16th,
Our Justice Dept:
Has become the laughing stock of the entire world, and this will destroy us.
Epa:
While it has done some good, most of the changes are made to benefit the few and has hurt our country. Our toilets don’t work our cars get lousy gas mileage, we can’t ever make our own light bulbs.
Our Government must change from dogcatcher to President. A good start would be to impeach this President & his crooks before he can do anymore damage.

Our Representative’s in Washington do NOT have the right to vote their opinion. Their DUTY is to vote the majority will of their constituents. Their duties are to be the lobbyist for the people that put them in office, not to sell their soul for special interest. This has been the problem of BOTH parties for the last 40 years.
If I were to guess, I would say, this is the end of the Democratic Party and a big wakeup call for the Republicans. There will also be a real chance for indictments. It probably will creation a new party most likely independent in nature and Constitutional in belief or with the conscience of the Tea party the Republicans could possibly wake up, but don’t hold your breath.
The word for this coming election is “dump ALL progressive incumbents and start over”. This can’t come too soon for me.

There is good reason to worry about Obama’s reelection: The chance of this administration allowing illegals to vote in 2012 is very real. Also giving Porto Rico voting rights is also very real.
Many people on any kind of federal aid will vote Democrat. There are also groups like ACORN and SEIU that will do ANYTHING to keep Obama in the White House. They have voter fraud to the point that it is next to impossible to detect. (Voter fraud should carry the death penalty). There is also talk of allowing criminals to vote and also allowing voting in the District of Colombia or is that the same thing? There is also talk of hampering the voting rights of our military who mostly vote Conservative. It already happened in 2010.
Also “Mr. non-stop campaigner” has enough money in his war chest to buy most states, not just the 2012 election. Where do you think most of the money that went to Solindra and most of the rest of the green jobs and bail out monies went?
Also, if all things fail for Obamanation, he can always invoke executive order and just take over. He’s getting pretty good at it and who will stop him.
We are right back to the same “ the stupid party versus the crooked party problem” we have had for roughly the last 40 years. Actually, I don’t think they are THAT stupid, they just seem that way. If you took the Rep/Dem mantra away from their titles, you couldn’t tell them apart being they are the right and left wings of the same bird, and yes, we the people end up with the bird.
If the Republicans actually wanted to do something that counts, they would be pushing daily for Obama and the rest of his thugs Impeachment, indictment and Imprisonment? It’s a no brainier.
The Republicans KNOW what the people of this country want from them because we told them in 2010, yet they don’t do it. If we can’t fix this problem in November of this year, we will never have a chance to do it again. May God help us all!!

As I see the mess both parties are on board to create a Socialist America. It is all about the power to make the calls and who is enriched by who’s policies. Just as Lenin was The Man so is Obama. He will be the the father of the Socialist States of America. Unfortunately the Politicial incrowd want to destroy small business but do not know how to leave them alone. Eveyone cannot and wil not work for the Regime so what are those unemployed business owners and workers going to do ?
Had the ideologues understood business Obamacare would and could be the transformer from consumerism to a service economy.
In support of a minority of those in the congress who maintain spine in the face of overwhelming odds, I say good job for standing up and being counted.
Much of this is our own fault for being to lazy to recognize and react to the lack of integrity and ethic that grew in our elected officials whose incumbency became elitism and erroded our trust to have them represent us in a responsible manner, we failed to look and act to do repair and maintenance, to keep this a representative Republic…now we have no choice but to act on our own behalf.
Start with term limits salary only, no retirement for ALL elected and appointed officials and the use of a moritorium for career minded. Remove the progressive tax and use a nat’l sales tax to maintain a budget, eliminate the IRS, EPA, TSA, NEA, they are over funded federal police agencies that can bypass the congress, and make law on their own, no government unions. We the people need to reclaim our representation and exercise our responsiblity…..Object lessons are hard teachers but the lessons stick..
