History made this week by Mitt Romney – of the wrong kind.
I believe he is the first Republican nominee for president to ever run a pro-abortion television ad in a general election campaign. This one is targeted specifically at the key swing state of Virginia.
In it, Romney is essentially saying he’s okay with the killing of children conceived in the so-called “exceptions” like my own family line, or maybe someone that is close to you. If what this Romney commercial is saying came true, than the Republican presidential candidate would essentially erase my three children from the planet, because they would’ve never been born.
Sad, but not surprising when you consider his record:
1) Romney is pro-choice; when running in 1994 for the U.S. Senate, he says he lost a loved one to a back alley abortion.
2) In 2002, Romney says he’s neither pro-choice or pro-life in running for governor of Massachusetts and that he will not threaten any of the state’s pro-abortion laws.
3) In 2005, Governor Romney vetoes a controversial contraception bill. He says studying what it would actually do led to a change of heart on the issue. In an op-ed to the Boston Globe about the matter, Romney now says he is pro-life.
4) Later in 2006, despite his self-proclaimed pro-life conversion, Romney signs into law Romneycare, which includes taxpayer0funded elective abortions for just $50 a kill (abortion-on-demand) and gives Planned Parenthood a permanent seat on a board overseeing the legislation, without providing a similar seat for pro-lifers.
5) As governor of Massachusetts, Romney forced Catholic hospitals to issue the so-called “Morning After” abortifacient, which is similar to the contraception mandate in Obamacare he is criticizing the president for. During the 2012 GOP primary debates, Romney lied when he said he didn’t after he was confronted by Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum on the matter.
6) During the 2008 campaign, Romney said he was for the Human Life Amendment proposed in the Republican Party platform, which enshrines the right to life of the unborn in the U.S. Constitution. Later, Romney walked back that stance and said he favored a states’ rights position on child killing, which most pro-lifers oppose.
6) In 2011, Romney seems to tell Mike Huckabee he favored the Mississippi personhood initiative at a time it was a hot topic, but then the campaign later said the governor had no position on the initiative and that it was each individual state’s decision.
7) During the 2012 campaign, Romney was the only Republican presidential candidate who refused to sign either the Personhood USA pledge or the Susan B. Anthony pledge.
8) Romney nominates a 100% pro-life running mate, and then the two issue a statement chastising 100% pro-life U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin and saying they’re pro-choice in certain situations.
9) Romney gives an interview with CBS News prior to the Republican Convention in which he says he’s for child killing in cases of “health of the mother,” which is essentially abortion-on-demand.
9) In July, a letter from Romney to a pro-life activist is published at Life News laying out his pro-life agenda if he were elected president. Later, in October Romney tells the Des Moines Register he won’t do anything on the life issue if he’s president.
10) A day after saying that to the Iowa newspaper, Romney tells an audience in the crucial swing state of Ohio he’ll “be a pro-life president.”
11) This week, Romney starts running an ad in favor of killing children conceived via rape or incest, like pro-life warrior Rebecca Kiessling.
If you’re keeping score of that breathtaking evolution, that means Romney has essentially taken every conceivable position on the most defining moral debate of this age—every single one and some of them more than once.
I understand the priority to defeat the most pro-abortion president ever in the heat of an election; but in exchange for that, we in the pro-life movement are literally letting Romney get away with murder. Which doesn’t leave me much confidence we’ll “hold him accountable after the election” as many of our “leaders” have promised us.

Not exactly the point, he isn’t lying, but the writer of the article misses the point. If abortions are allowed in the case of rape and incest, it is still a choice, no one is going to force anyone to have an abortion. So her claim that her 3 children would exist is purely emotional misrepresentation. While I believe like Romney that abortion is wrong and the equivalent of murder, I don’t think we as individuals should dictate to a victim of rape that she must carry the child to full term. So I think there has to be room for exceptions however limited it may be. I guess we are lucky to have never had to face something so horrific but there are those that have.
Killing the unborn child in a rape only traumatizes the rape victim more. It punishes the innocent, unborn child instead of the rapist. Romney/Ryan need to be held accoutable when they win the election. They both claim to be pro-life and we need to hold them to the fire. If we don’t our nation will go down to complete failure. We will fall as a free, prosperous nation. God will not bless a nation that wantonly kills it’s children with a good economy. Innocent human life is more important than money. Planned Parenthood has ‘blood’ money and our leaders have the blood of the unborn on their hands. Do we think God is blind to this atrocity and deaf the the cries of the unborn? Talk about lying? We have never had a President like Obama. All his records are sealed, and in his book , he said he was born in India and raised in Kenyo, And this is a president to believe? Check the Democratic platform.. Same sex marriages and abortion on demand. Also they do not want the word GOD in their platform.

Who the Hell cares, if Romney is pro-life or pro-choices,how does this help me to take care of my family the next 4 years.
I will still vote for Romney. Much better choice then this illegal, phony, lying, foreign national, Muslim POTUS we have in office now.We believed BHO and gave him a chance and he has proved he is not qualified. Now it is Romney’s turn. Besides I am more concerned with who is in Congress
Romney will be a pro-life president. And in the V.P. debate Paul Ryan again put forth their position as well as Romney stating it himself. The 3 conditions under which they support abortion are: Incest, rape and if the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother. So you can post all the so-called facts. This is the Romney/Ryan platform and I’m fine with that and YES I am pro-life.
Go ahead and stick your head in the sand, then. Ignore what is right in front of you. Bottom line: Romney is not pro-life.
And BTW you are not pro-life if you are fine with punishing a baby conceived from rape or incest for the sins of his or her father.

I don’t thing our Heavenly Father intends to punish a victim for something she had no control over. I also believe that spirit will still have the opportunity to come, a body will be provided, just like someone who miscarries, that spirit that started its journey will still have the opportunity to come. They will all come. However if abortion is all about convenience, and other insane excuses, it is murder, but even then those spirits will still have the opportunity to come.
Of course those of you who state you are pro-life you mean only human life.
Romney won’t need declare executive privilege to cover this up. I am against abortion. I believe Romney want’s to avoid disenfranchising cross party voters before the most important election of our lifetime. All a president can to is try and appoint pro life justices to the U.S. Supreme court.

The way I see it is that Mitt Romney is the best choice you have so you either vote for him to promote your agenda or you vote for hugobama to shut down your agenda! So Steve Deace, why the hell are you trying to destroy your best chances of achieving your Pro-Life agenda??? You’re an idiot!
I am surprised at Western Journalism allowing a moron like Steve Deace to contribute to their conservative agenda. Only a complete moron could fail to see that the best chances we have of gaining pro-life strength in our future, would be to elect ANYONE other than Obama. There are precisely two choices – Obama and Mitt Romney. Why would anyone that claims to be pro-life, try to disuede others from voting for the only possible chance we have of saving our country, and perhaps millions of adult, as well as millions, of baby’s lives?? The “erasure” is totally up to the pregnant woman or couple, not the politician. As of yet, we do not have kill squads that determine who is to be born and who is not.
As I said before the people who claim to be pro-life mean they are pro-human life. No other life is sacred to them only human life!
It is the child of the parents it is their decision what they choose to do. It is no one’s business, but their’s alone!
