The fix is in, liberal media selling out for pot of government gold

Watching liberal journalists desperate for a government bailout as they prostrate themselves before Congress can be so confusing:
Should we be embarrassed as these media representatives of the “best and brightest” beg for official handouts while proclaiming their devotion to independent journalism?

The Lap Dog Media is Begging its masters for  assistance

Or should we laugh at the irony of what is left of a once-proud liberal media establishment choosing to become wards of the very state they so vigorously promoted for the past several decades?

Speaking as somebody who has made his living reporting and analyzing the news for more than two decades, I tend towards the embarrassment option.

In any case, it’s clear that the fix is in and all that is left now is for the liberal journalists and their new masters in government to complete their kabuki dance enroute to congressional approval and presidential signature on a massive package of aid for politically correct newspapers and broadcasters.

It is quite ovious why the newspapers and the networks are failing. Their liberal spin has turned off the people and they show their displeasure by not buying newspapers or watching network tv. As a matter of fact, CNN, MSNBC are so low in the ratings that their about to go bankrupt.

I proudly worked for the Los Angeles Times for 27 years and during that time we were "the" most successful paper in the world with over $1 Billion in advertising revenue. We had international recognitation and bureaus all over the world, and competed with the 'Eastern' bunch by beating their pants off. As I was on the advertising side, I handled the 1984 Olympics in LA and a myrid of other succesful campaigns that kept our 5,ooo (state-side) employees well paid, creative and union free. Now it is a shell of it's former self selling out to the Tribune in a grudge match of Otis Chandler and his 'conservetive' family, and consequently sold out again to Sam Zell the real estate vulture that has dismembered every staff, everywhere and layed off thousands, to try to fire-sale the 'goods' of realestate holdings that have been in the Chandler family for over 100 years, including forests, papermills, LA downtown property, printing firms tv stations, 9 other newspapers…all now liberal… and broke, and into bankruptsy. I am glad that I know REAL journalists and editors, dedicated composing room experts, management on the AD side that were brilliant and was proud of producing a top quality product that sold, was honored and gave back to the community with truth, insight and wisdom.

These jokers will burn out. The will be as hollow and vain as empty souls, wondering who will 'admire' them today', and turning themselves inside out to find applause and a frigin' job. But they have no skills or shame left. These are not men…they are frauds, seeking pitiful 'bailouts. How frigin'embarassing.
