The armed forces shouldn’t be used as a laboratory for experimenting with methods for cutting Green House Gas emissions (GHG).
In spite of this, Secretary of the Navy Mabus persists in his efforts to create a “green fleet”.
Now there will be a conference in Washington DC, promoting the development of aviation biofuels where Secretary Mabus is, according to the conference brochure, scheduled to speak.

Okay…it’s clear to see that the Secretary is a tree-hugging sympathizer that wants to show his green side to the liberal spend-like-there’s-no-tomorrow bunch.
What the heck is wrong with paying $22 per gallon for plant-produced replacement for our current JP-8 Aviation fuel? I reckon with manning drawdowns and moth balling a major part of America’s New Defense Program under the current Administration, it’s rather fitting that this lunatics think along the line of saving the USN’s (next the USAF followed the US Army, ergo the Defense Dept’s) reputation with claims of a much reduced and well over-priced “carbon footprint”.

I imagine their new plans call for much less airtime for all military pilots as well in efforts to absorb this ridiculous notion of paying beyond premium prices for bio-fuel. We’ll just hire kids off the street based on the talents and abilities with video games and strap ‘em into multi-Mach capable flying contraptions knowing they’ll be alright. They’ve had so much time attached to their game controls that the real thing will be a simple piece of cake. Right?
Better idea, just create an entire new fleet of ships and all aerial vehicles that use on-board nuclear plants or maybe ionic propulsion systems to cut the greenhouse gas effect down to damn near zilch! Then they can worry later about a “corker” incidence when they fail, never mind the nuclear contamination such power centers would create.
Someone needs to slap the living daylights out of all these off base and out of touch types…beginning with the monstrous hypocrite…Mr. Al Gore.
Lord, save us all from their determinations geared toward the doom and destruction of America and our dwindling lines for National Defense.
Can anyone help these “nutz” to understand the folly involved with any realistic consideration for bio fuels within the DoD! There’s nothing wrong with using LPG fuel systems on land borne vehicles due to the natural abundance of that fuel type, those dual-use gas/LPG systems have been in use since at least 1970. If the bozos tried to reconfigure all military vehicles with LPG only fuel, they’d have to figure a way to fill them up in hostile environments where it most likely wouldn’t be feasible to do so. More confounded and unnecessary problems raise their ugly heads with this one.
I’d suggest to all readers that they fire off a short note e-mail to their respective 3 DC elected Legislative officials and tell those folks just how you feel about more fraud, waste and abuse. I think I read somewhere that the TRUE National Debt exceeds 222 Quadrillion Dollars when all the unsecured programs are totaled. How are your accounts covered by your banks against loss? Yep, I thought that would stop you from arguing with me about this one without even including all the promised give-a-way entitlements that Uncle has on his table.
And just maybe, we need to spooks, the FBI, the FTC, Private Investigators, REAL Investigative Journalists, etc. to check into Secretary. Mabus’ personal financial portfolio for hints about how much he’s set to garner from this bio-fueled USN air fleet. Just me thinking out loud…again.
