An electronic system used by more than 70 percent of school districts in Texas has recently come under attack by the state’s Senate Education Committee for promoting socialism and criticizing American values.
The curriculum management system known as CSCOPE is used by teachers in 875 districts to manage their lesson plans while allowing them to customize material for their own specific classrooms.
Some of the ideology promoted in the material, though, is wholly inappropriate and openly endorses anti-American sentiment.
According to reports, numerous witnesses spoke before the Senate committee to explain why Texas students must not be indoctrinated with the leftist lesson plans.
One witness described the program as “mind control” while a teacher emotionally testified he quit his job because using the system made him feel like he was “aiding and abetting a crime.”
Other criticism of the program included a lack of transparency, as the program’s particulars are not readily available to anyone other than teachers and school administrators.
Questionable lesson plans covered various subjects and issues, though one of the most reprehensible forced sixth-graders to design their own socialist flag.
The CSCOPE curriculum encourages students to “notice that socialist and communist countries use symbolism on their flags” while prompting them to come up with their own symbols to use on the flag for a new socialist country.
In addition to allegations the curriculum is overly supportive of Islam, the lesson plans also reportedly refer to those involved in the Boston Tea Party as terrorists.
This type of blatant leftist indoctrination deserves no place in any American school; and, as a Texan, I am incredibly offended such nonsense has made its way into our great educational system.
Such blatant disregard for traditional values combined with the secrecy with which the material is treated just further exposes the left’s ongoing mission. Those unhappy with America as founded seek to change this nation’s future by systematically brainwashing the next generation in the government-mandated education camps known as the public school system.

Not to be and Antagonist, but most will think I am, at the time, King George and Parliament, as well as British troops and a large portioni of the poplulation, did consider the participants in the “Boston Tea Party” to be terrorist. You can’t avoid the facts, no matter how much you would like too. Remember, “One man’s Terrorist, is another man’s Freedom fighter”. Depends on which side you are on. I accept that the Tea Party Members were Terrorist, of a sort, but I also accept that if not for their Terrorism, I would not today, be FREE. It is the actions of the Terrorist, that defines the ugliness of his Terror, and the result expected.
And just whom did they ‘terrorize’? The tea? Exactly how many people were killed during this protest? Terrorism is NOT ‘freedom fighting’. It is an ugly act designed to strike fear. Period. They are not doing it for any other reason.
They terrorized those citizens who wanted to be British citizens, they terrorized, the Red Coats, It is the effect the act has upon the person or persons being subjected to it. Not really sure how many people were killed during the Revolutionary War on both/or either side, but until we won that war, all those we now call Freedom Fighters, were also called Terrorist, by our foes, as today, people in the middle east call us Terrorist, just was we call them Terrorist, depends on which side you are on, who the Terrorist is.
At least they didn’t send out their young children to kill a bunch of Red Coats and their own people by blowing themselves up. To me those Gentlemen were heroes and without them we would still be slaves of a foreign king.

I would categorize the Boston Tea Party as an act of Civil Disobedience rather than an act of terrorism. Property was destroyed, so it was a criminal offense under the laws of the British (and would be under our current laws). But, there was no collateral damage, and there was certainly nothing akin to the actions we now refer to as terrorism. I don’t recall that there were any injuries to persons intended or inflicted in Boston. Certainly there were no innocent women or children targeted for the express purpose of terrorizing the populace or the established government. We could argue whether the actions were justified in Boston, and we could debate when and to what extent resistance to our own ‘out of control’ government is justified (I don’t believe there is any doubt that we are currently dealing with a government that has far exceeded legal authority), but I do not believe that Boston can be fairly equated with modern terrorism.

@NatSovParty… and your response is the very reason that the words “terrorist” or “terrorism” or “terroristic” or any subjective words for that matter should be extremely limited in public education curriculum… they need to stick to the facts.
Excuse me, but what I said is a fact, to a lot of the British people, and to the British government, we were Terrorist. How can the children learn the difference, if they don’t have the opportunity to ask the questions?
@NatSovParty they are not being taught the difference… that is the problem here… they are being taught that our forefathers were terrorists and the only terrorists our kids are familiar with are Al-Qaeda terrorists…
And right there is were they should be asking questions, either of their teachers, or of their parents? Do you have a child that brought this to your attention? If so, what was your reponse?
you are right they were the terrorist of the time, and the result was a free nation, the terrorist of Islam are for the enslavement of the world with no freedom for anyone. until America returns to a Christian nation and put God back in schools and public display we will have this for the Muslim faith,it is a cult with no place for it in a free country
A group of people, who are fighting to Free themselves and others, can be called Terrorist, as well as a group of people who are fighting to Enslave themselves as well as others. It is the intent of their Terrorism that makes the difference, not the fact that they are called Terrorist. I call Muslim extemeist who are tying to kill Americans, and Jews, and others or Enslave them terrorist, but I do not fear being called a Terrorist, because I am fighting, or helping the fight to set those same peole Free.

I have heard that most of the teachers are liberals and socialists. How sad. They must spent their years in college partying and wasting time because if they had cracked a history book, they would see the devastation that leftist ideas have caused. Our Christian-Judea culture is being attacked by radical left where satan lives. We cannot allow our children to be taught anti-Americans ideas while kicking God out of everything. It won’t work. Today there are so many kids who are confused and angry and they don’t know why. It is because they are needing the security of knowing that there is someone greater than us to rely on. The bible holds the instructions for the most peaceful and prosperous life we can have. But just like Lucifer, that old serpent, the left wants to take the place of God and claim to have all the answers.

I believe the use of the word “terrorist” is misused in the Boston Tea Party action. They people who threw the tea did not cause fear or terror into any other people. They did not show up with vests full of TNT. They simply dressed up like indians and threw the tea in the water. No one was killed. No one was hurt, molested, beheaded, set on fire, pantsed or otherwise incapacitated.
This is a far cry from what the modern day “terrorists” are doing. This is what our children will equate the early settlers of this nation with. A ‘terrorist” strikes fear and “terror” into their victims. I dont see that in the action of the men of Boston in 1773.

The British own Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Massachusets because they are all commonweath states. Commonwealth as defined in the Black Law Dictionary says that commonwealth is “British Rule.” It seems they still control these states as these states are very corrupt and don’t respect the U.S. Constitution. The politicians, police departments, land owners, etc. in these states say that they don’t have to obey the U.S. Constitution, which is the law of the land. They say they are commonwealth and only obey state laws. If I’m called a terrorist just for defending my freedoms as set-forth in the God-given U.S. Constitution “so be it.”
