Harold, Texas started the Guardian Plan back in 2007 to allow teachers to carry concealed weapons. Superintendent David Thweatt says that the school personnel considers themselves the first responders, and they want to be there to protect their children. Of course, they are getting a lot of attention now:

And then there is Obama
About fifteen years ago , my brothin law worked in the Dc area as a music teacher. the school was fenced. he alway had his breifcase, in which he carried a gun(illegal) the. in in back pocket, he carried a switch blade. too dangerout to walk out side unarmed. H e has watched, got to where no teacher would try to stop fights, too dangerous, mostly black. he watch figts , brutal fight go on right inside the fence next to the sidewalk and street, Policement would walk down the walk and not even glance at the brutal fights going on. never even trying to stop them. too dangerous for police. too dangerous for teachers, not much teaching being done in the center of government. In music classes, he wore rubber gloves. never, ever pick up an instrument with the bare hands. never ever demonstart how to play a fluet. Have of the kids had aids. they were mean undisipline.. the teachers, for what little they taught were the highest paid in the country. it was like a daily game war., this is the center of our government. NOthing worse unless it was in side the white house.

It used to be that California lead the nation in new thinking but now they just lead in weirdness. It would seem that logical thinking is now in states like Arizona and Texas. Arizona for stating that the “emperor’s new clothes” IE Obamas birth certiciate is a sham. And now what every school district in the USA should be doing by arming the first line of defense and that is the teachers. Criminals will think twice before going into a school zone hell bent on destruction. You think a ruler hurt when Mrs. Jenkins slapped you hands for misbehavior? Try catching a few from her .22 automatic and just hope she doesn’t hit you in the head and turn your brain into jello. Even if most educators do vote democratic it doesn’t mean that they are chickens.
Well what do you know!, some commonsense in the least likely, yet most important of places! This is what parents should be screaming for, not the other way around. I truly hope other schools here and around the world take the only “meaningful” measures that will really help. But as we all know, that is NOT what this government hopes to achive.
