Wonder why the Obama administration announced yesterday that the Guantanamo Bay inmates will be coming to a town near you? Obama is “disgorging” mass murderers from Gitmo to be housed in jails right down the street from your house.
Two words: Tony West.
The same Tony West that provided free legal counsel to “American Taliban” John Walker Lindh in 2002. The same Tony West who is today the third in command at DOJ and in this role directly oversees litigation for the Gitmo detainees.
The term “treason” comes to mind…

Everyone asks: Why are they destroying the country? Whenever a country is taken over it is essentially destroyed by war. It would appear that this time they are going to get the job done from within by destroying the economy and the Constitution taking the nation to its knees financially into government dependency. As you say…what amount to a little money lose to them is much better than bomb holes and infrastructure ruination and death of their little people corporations or government chattel that they will need to continue fleecing in the NWO Federated bank owned United Nations North American Union Agenda 21 Con-unistic country of ObamaNation. The people won’t have much left…but whatever it is this De Facto government will still want it.

I have researched at least all the czars HAVE YOU? i suggest you do so, i got an e-mail about this i was suspicious of and did my own research what i found was worse that what was claimed in the e-mail. I ask what kind of American are we if we just take the word of others? It took me several hours over a few days to get it done.. I suggest you do the same at least before bloviating! take in consideration what ONE solder does in ONE day and answer if doing what I suggest is so out of line?

I agree with you that Harry Reid will not let an impeachment go through, but symbolically it would send a strong message if Boehner got the guts to impeach BO no matter what Harry Reid and the rest of the DemocRATS chose to do. To be honest with you, I am amazed that he has not done so with all of the wrong things that Obama has done to this country.
There is one way to stop obama and Reid legally, and their is nothing either they or the entire Liberal Party can do to about it. It is called a CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION. If the country is to survive then the states must convene another convention immediately. There are many changes needed in how the current out of control government operates; and Congress, whether Democrat or Republican controlled, has repeatedly demonstrated it has no intention of producing those changes.

I have never heard of a constitutional convention but i do know that military can refuse to obey a presidents orders if he is unable to provide proof of presidential qualifications as well as arresting him for being a threat to national security. It seems that there isnt one able bodied individual or united states devoted organized militia willing to do so. Somebody please do something !

The problem I have with this article is this; I’m not a big fan of Gitmo, and I believe that 9/11 was an inside job.
Now I’m not saying that there aren’t some bad people in Gitmo, but no matter how bad they are, they deserve the same protection under the law as you or I would or should receive. And since it’s been nearly 12-years and they still haven’t been brought to trial confirms that 9/11 must have been an inside job.
If you want to get into the argument of 9/11, may I refer you to several sites first for review before we do. Because frankly, with the overwhelming evidence that our government lied to us about 9/11, I don’t want to spend a lot of time explaining what others can do in a lot shorter time.

I completely agree with you on Gitmo. Yet the same people who practically worship the constitution proved themselves to be the hypocrites they are in supporting this and the rest of the damage Bush and the GOP-controlled Congress (and subsequent Democrat congresses) did to our founding documents.

Yes Barbara. I am one of the rare white men living in 99% Mexican and Black people for over 10 years now and have a good look at what is going on. There are a good number of people that are 1 on 1 though. Racism is thrown at me even at the hospital. It is not easy but you just have to live with it. What a drag when you know you have paid for so much more of that sidewalk then most. And I am a laborer, was, till this administration truly has deleted the middle class. Sad times, even the Red Cross is taking a beating. I know 1st hand, my friends feed children in 6 different countries. Could go on and on how this administration is crushing such a giving country. I personally would disagree with the characterization of West as a “terrorist apologist.” The fact is that John Walker Lindh was an American citizen and is entitled per our Constitution (you know, that document that conservatives obsess over) to rights such as due process, an attorney, and a trial by jury.
Don’t people realize the slippery slope we find ourselves on when we just convict people, based on what the mainstream media and the government say, before they even have a trial? It is especially in these cases when we must not forget that (at least at one point) we have something called the rule of law in America.
Is this how we should decide who is guilty or not, from now on in America, just by what the government and the story they feed to the media say?

There are writers here that seem to believe the Gitmo prisoners are 1) US citizens 2) Not prisoners of war 3) Just regular criminals that can be tried in civil courts. This as a result of the US being at war since 9-11-01 and half of the country not being aware of that fact of life! One even claimed the old inside job. BS I assume he means the Democrats did it since the Republicans were in power and could only hurt their own cause.
If you actually read the Constitution, you will observe that prisoners held by the government are entitled these rights regardless of whether they are citizens. You might not like that; that’s why we have an amendment process to the Constitution.
Also, the people being held at Gitmo are not prisoners of war as we never issued a Congressional declaration of war on terrorism as required in the Constitution. Just calling it a war doesn’t make it one. Instead, the people being held at Gitmo are prisoners held by our government, while being denied due process.
We have tried terrorists in civilian courts like Ramzi Yousef, who was behind the first attack on the World Trade Center, and we were able to throw him in prison for life. Therefore, it will not be the end of the world to try accused terrorists in civilian courts.
You make an excellent point: They are not “prisoners of war.” My problem is not having the prisoners tried on American soil, but finding any lawyers in America to represent both them and the United States fairly. I’m afraid that our judicial system has become infiltrated with the caliber of “lawyers” who now (supposedly) “represent” us in Washington, both inside and outside of our government. Sadly, most of our reps in both houses of Congress and both sides of the aisle are lawyers.
