Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being interviewed by a liberal journalist, an animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, ‘What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, ‘Are you my friend?’ or is it ‘Are you the one who killed my brother?
Nugent replied, ‘Deer aren’t capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, what am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the Democrats in Congress.’
The interview ended.

I assumed that the reporter was female, and Ted replied unabashed (rightfully so) in a pointedly, matter-of-fact manner. Right On, retort! One thing I would have changed, though;" they are very much like the( facist/socialists ie: Progressives) in Congress." The Repub's have just as much muck-up (1913 – Federal Reserve Bank) to account for, and are still pushing for another "status quo" congress without an apology to the American people. I am at the same point I was in "2008" – Voting for the lessor of the the 2 evils! Look at the races in FL., especially GOV & Senate. You Keep on plugg'in, Mr. Nugent. I do not do politics but I do not like this interview very much. I can only think of one word that fits Mr. Nugent right now and that is "ASSHOLE"

My response to this is only 57 weeks after Mr. Dennis K.'s, and a mere week after your comment about his. It seems to me that you have rather strong feelings about your heart-felt opinions, and are not shy about expressing them. Yet, it seems that in this day and age of "Woman's Liberation (and your apparent assumption that commenter Newman's gender "Guess" is correct), you are taking the position of the archetypal "Male Chauvinist Pig" (a popular term from the mid-'60's onward) and chastise Mr. Nugent for "Picking on the Girl". How droll – playing the "Sex Card" just like the "Race Card" usually is by "Progressives". The mere fact that Mr. Nugent is correct seems to be lost on those such as you. By the way, my response is posted now because my computer was down and I didn't run across the article containing your thoughtful remarks until today. Oh, yes: as a 70 year old lifetime hunter, fisherman and conversationist, I don't need your, nor anyone else's, "Validation" for what I do or believe in. After all, I have the factual truth on my side – based on both extensive observation and study.
How was I "taking a position" on Nugent's opinion in my response to Dennis? As a matter of fact, though, I do think that Nugent is a jackass (even though I have done plenty of hunting and fishing and favor both), and your opinion of what Democrats think is obviously far from "factual truth."
And I don't see where I made any assumptions about the gender of the interviewer, nor do I find it relevant–though I find it interesting that you did. So who is playing a "sex card"?
