Technology Takes Over Inauguration Coverage

Franklin D. Roosevelt made history as the first president to have his inaugural address heard on live radio. John F. Kennedy flickered into our homes with live television. Barack Obama will be known as our Internet president.

From the beginning of the President-elect’s campaign to the Oval Office, technology has been a big player in this year’s election.

Like the Presidents before him, Mister Obama will place his hand on a bible and recite the words from Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution

Unlike presidents before, his oath of office and inaugural address will be available live via television, streaming live on, and even seen on mobile phones across the country.
