A South Carolina teacher has been suspended after he allegedly threw the American flag on the ground and stomped on it in front of his honors English class. He reportedly told students the flag was “only a piece of cloth” and didn’t “mean anything.”

Why should this surprise us? The educational system of our once great country has lost its professionalism and its ability to teach young minds LONG ago. It seems like its only goal is to bully America’s students into politically liberal ideals. Its nice to know there are TINY pockets of sanity like this one in S. Carolina, but the fact he thought this was a good thing to do, meant he never suspected anyone would object to his actions. Why should he? Our government, from the president on down, doesn’t support, defend or obey our country’s laws, why should anyone else? Lots of talk from conservatives, but no substance, no action. This country is doomed if there is no one in our government who will do what is good for the country rather than what is good for their own pockets. Even the good people who have been voted in, turn corrupt once they take power! God help Us!
I applaud the school for their quick and effective response.. I honestly think that we need to reconsider the draft system. If every person serves in the military for a two year stint, the appreciation for the flag is clearly understood and forever ingrained. It is the; Catalyst for all this free nation stands for. I have noticed that, most people who are disrespectful to the flag in any way, are ones who never served in the military or had someone close to them that payed the ultimate price of their life in combat.
There should be no quarter or mercy for cowards who reap the advantages of blood spilled by others and then be disrespectful in any way, including disrespect to the American Flag…..
