“The bigger the baby, the more he charged.” That was abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s pricing plan. So when one woman came to him about seven or eight months pregnant, Gosnell charged her $2,500, according to the grand jury report.

“Sue,” as the grand jury report calls the mother, came to Gosnell’s gory abortion clinic at 9 in the morning. Gosnell’s staff induced labor. At 11 p.m., Sue finally gave birth to her son. Gosnell’s assistant Kareema Cross testified that the boy was 18 or 19 inches long, “nearly the size of her own 6 pound, 6 ounce, newborn daughter.” Then Kermit Gosnell allegedly did what he always does after he delivers a baby: He murdered it. “The doctor just slit the neck,” Cross testified. Snipping the back of newborns’ necks was allegedly how Gosnell aborted babies after delivering them.

But with “Sue’s” son — Baby Boy A, as the grand jury report called him — Gosnell apparently failed. The baby kept twitching in the little plastic box where Gosnell had discarded him, according to testimony. Gosnell allegedly tried to falsely dismiss this as “reflexes.”

“Sue” went home shortly after delivering her son. For days, she was in pain and vomiting. When she finally went to a hospital, she was admitted with infections and blood clots. Gosnell is on trial for murdering Baby Boy A and six other babies, as well as causing the death of one mother. During the trial it was revealed that Gosnell’s clinic had not been inspected by the State in more than 10 years. No wonder he didn’t worry about the conditions he operated under. If the authorities didn’t care, why should he.

Until late last week, almost nobody outside of Philadelphia or the pro-life activist community had heard of Gosnell or his trial, which began more than a month ago. The New York Times had one story at the start of the trial in March, and then nothing. Fox News has been reporting on the trial since it began. According to the Fox reporter the Press area was conspicuously absent of any other members of the press. Despite the obvious lack of interest of the liberal media, Fox and other Conservative outlets have kept it front and center. So while the rest of the media was featuring Jodi Arias and her travails, Fox combined the coverage of the two for a more well balanced approach.

Conservative media critic Mollie Hemingway of the blog GetReligion spent a good part of last week asking reporters who normally cover such issues why they were ignoring this trial. Washington Post writer Sarah Kliff, who covers abortion extensively, responded that she didn’t cover “local crime.” Many conservatives noted that the Newtown, Conn., school massacre and the killing of Trayvon Martin could be described as “local crime,” yet they warranted national media attention. Why not an alleged serial-killing abortionist? When you look at things objectively everything is local. It becomes national when the media decides that it should be covered that way.

It’s a good question, especially because the policy debate Gosnell stirs up could give ammunition to either side. Abortion defender Katha Pollitt, for instance, wrote after Gosnell’s arrest last year, “What fueled Gosnell’s business were the very restrictions the legislature was so keen on passing. …” it’s all in the interpretation of the reporter covering the story. Much of the reporting of the liberal media follows the path of their ideology. Reporters are supposed to be objective in reporting a story, but being human everyone is swayed by what they or their bosses believe. If the facts don’t bear you out then you have to bend it to make it fit.

On the other side, Gosnell’s crimes are also relevant to President Obama’s abortion record. As a state senator, Obama repeatedly voted against legislation requiring hospitals to care for babies born during abortions. Such laws might somehow be used in the future to infringe on abortion’s legality, Obama argued. Obama went so far to say that if a baby was born alive it should be left on the table until it succumbed to the effects of the procedure. He asserted that medical personnel should not attempt to revive the baby and defeat the purpose of the abortion.

As Baby Boy A lay in that plastic shoebox, he didn’t look any different than a sleeping newborn. In the picture one of Gosnell’s aides took, you see his hair, his pinkish skin tone. That was the boy that Gosnell is now accused of murdering. And that’s also what babies look like when one of Gosnell’s law-abiding colleagues, such as late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, who practices in Germantown, Md., snips their spines with scissors. Except for the disgusting conditions that existed in Gosnell’s clinic, either one could satisfy Obama’s idea of what should be the outcome of the abortion. Gosnell’s method for aborting babies wasn’t substantially different from a procedure Obama enthusiastically defends.

In his first U.S. Senate race, Obama used Carhart’s procedure as a fundraising pitch. In a 2004 campaign mailing, Michelle Obama tried to rally the donor base by explaining how Republicans were trying to ban partial-birth abortion, “a legitimate medical procedure,” as Michelle put it. Now how does that sound from a mother’s point of view. With a mother like that in the house you have to watch where you lay your head.

The most substantive difference between the partial-birth abortions which Obama used for his fundraising and Gosnell’s abortions is: Dr. Gosnell did the snipping outside of the mother’s birth canal, while Dr. Carhart reaches his scissors inside the woman’s vagina to snip the baby’s spine. Talk about navigating the channel. One wrong turn and the mother would be compromised. Technically, Carhart’s was a late term abortion because it was snipped inside the birth canal as opposed to Gosnell’s which occurred after the baby left the canal. This fact points us to the most likely reason the mainstream media ignored the story as long as possible: The Gosnell story has an inherent pro-life bias, because it leads us to discuss the intricacies of abortion procedures.

When you discuss the act of aborting — even perfectly legal abortions — you have to discuss the blood, the scalpels, and the scissors. You might use terms like “dilation and extraction” or “dilation and curettage.” Think through those terms (“curettage” is defined as “a surgical scraping or cleaning”) and recall that what is being extracted or scraped has a beating heart. Now take it one step further and you have a standard Gosnell procedure. Even if the baby beat the odds, he/she didn’t stand a chance in Gosnell’s hands. Even his assistants had trouble carrying out some of the procedures he dictated.

Discussing Gosnell and his techniques threatens to start a discussion on abortion procedures — and that’s not good for anyone in the abortion industry. So you can see why no upstanding liberal abortion proponent would want to do that.

Trayon Martin’s girlfriend, the lead witness against George Zimmerman in his second-degree murder trial, lied under oath, according to lawyers on both sides of the case.

State prosecutors admitted Tuesday that Martin’s girlfriend falsely claimed she was in the hospital on the day of Martin’s funeral, committing perjury.

This admission greatly damages the credibility of Martin’s girlfriend, whom Martin called on the night Zimmerman shot and killed him, for this is not the first time she has been caught lying.

Identified as “witness 8″ in records, Martin’s girlfriend told Trayon Martin’s family attorney Benjamin Crump in a recorded interview that she was 16 years of age right after Martin’s passing. She was in fact 18 years of age when she was speaking to Martin.

Crump told reporters Martin’s girlfriend was 16 and has since “said he did not knowingly misrepresent her age.”

DeWayne Wickham recently penned a piece lamenting the number of black children killed as the result of gun violence.  During his reflection, he set the foundation for the need for more gun control by acknowledging the deaths of both Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager killed by George Zimmerman, and Hadiya Pendleton, an innocent victim who was recently killed in a case of mistaken identity by gang members on the South Side of Chicago.

Though Wickham’s point that gun violence among black children being pandemic is well taken, he neglected to properly label the reasons for such violence.  He also doesn’t go far enough in detailing who’s responsible for this pandemic. Mr. Wickham did make mention of it, but almost in passing- that the overwhelming majority of the deaths of the black victims come at the hands of other blacks. That’s the first issue.

The death of Martin, though sad and unfortunate- especially for his family- does little to advance the case for increasing gun laws to reduce violence.  Martin was as much a victim of his bad judgment, and the profile set by the previous eight burglars, as he was of Zimmerman’s gun.

The Pendleton case, however, may provide cause.

When citing FBI statistics regarding the number of black deaths, Wickham didn’t note that the majority of those deaths came at the hands of other blacks.  Using the same FBI statistics cited by Wickham, of the 2,938 murder offenders in 2011, 1803 were black.

The total number of black murders regardless of age in 2011 was 2695. Of that number, 2447 were committed by blacks.

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, of all homicides committed between 1980 and 2008, 47.4 percent of the victims were black while 52.5 percent of all offenders were black. Of all felony murders during the same time period, blacks accounted for 44.1 percent of those murdered while accounting for 59.9 percent of the offenders.  Blacks accounted for 56.9 percent of all gun homicides.

Any serious mention of protecting black children from violent crime has to include a sincere effort in assigning blame to the causes of crime, along with effective methods to reduce it.  Wickham uses a false argument to justify his blame for violent crime by condemning “those who want more prisons, not better schools…” He also blames Congress for kowtowing to the NRA.

This undermines his concern for black youth by appearing disingenuous. Who, specifically, wants more prisons and not better schools?  What specifically does the NRA have to do with black gang members on Chicago’s South Side who shot Pendleton with their illegally-obtained guns?

I don’t doubt Mr. Wickham’s sincerity regarding black youth.  But if the obligation to confront this problem belongs to “all of us” as he claims, then it’s our responsibility to point the finger directly at who and what is responsible.

First, some of the cities with the harshest gun laws also have the highest rates of black-on-black gun violence.  This is no coincidence.

Second, Wickham is right: America’s children need to be protected from gun violence, but not necessarily with more gun laws.  Restrictive gun laws punish only those who follow the law, not those who don’t.  This is precisely why we call lawbreakers criminals.  No matter how many (more) laws are created with the intention of reducing gun violence, criminals by definition will disregard these laws, knowing that their potential victims will be increasingly defenseless.

We should consistently and effectively prosecute lawbreakers with stiffer prison sentences, not constrain the law-abiding.

Third, and most importantly, Wickham makes absolutely no mention of the fact that the disproportionate numbers of gun violence that victimizes blacks, committed by other blacks, are from fatherless households.  That’s the second and most crucial issue.

Seventy percent of black children are born out of wedlock, and roughly 60 percent live in homes without fathers.  This sad reality should motivate state and federal governments as well as local communities- especially churches and other religious organizations- to encourage blacks to get and stay married. Children from households where a mother and father are present are less likely to engage in violent behavior, including gangs.

A number of social pathologies have been attributed to those who come from fatherless homes, including juvenile delinquency, youths in prison, youth drug use, high school dropouts, behavioral issues, and trouble dealing with authority.  Nowhere is this more prevalent than among black children.

Mr. Wickham and I agree that gun violence is a detriment to black youth; we simply disagree with whom and what receives blame.  If we want to reduce gun violence, especially in the inner cities, we have to change and redeem the cultural values that foster it.  This begins with recreating and redeeming the black family.

College Names Anti-racism Award After Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin SC College names anti racism award after Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin, the teen shot and killed in 2012 during a fight with a neighborhood watch member, is being honored posthumously by Providence College.

Ignoring the absolute dearth of evidence indicating his alleged killer – also a minority – was motivated in any way by race, the college announced the creation of the Trayvon Martin Award for Social Justice.

According to the school, one student and one staff member will receive the award for a perceived dedication to fighting racism.

Zimmerman has always maintained he acted in self-defense, and this award was created before the facts of the case had been presented at trial.

None of that mattered to Dr. Julia Jordan-Zachery, who spearheaded the award project.

She has often referenced the Trayvon Martin case on social media and in weblog postings and said in a recent interview she has no doubt racism was behind the murder.

According to Jordan-Zachery, “some people are not consciously aware of what they’re doing, but they’re responding to narratives around race,” adding that “while I can’t speak explicitly for Zimmerman, I would guess that this was racially motivated.”

This woman has the uncanny ability – one found exclusively among leftists – to find racism where there is no indication of its existence.

Such race-centered illogical ideology is responsible for stoking the hostility it ostensibly seeks to combat. Automatically assuming minorities are victims of white oppression and hate serves only to make the vast majority of decent, moral Caucasians skeptical of these race-baiters’ true intentions.

I’ve been a citizen on patrol for over 20 years. My stomping grounds are often Southern inner-cities where I grew up and currently reside.

I also walk business districts where the very poor and very well off warily pass by each other and give food to the homeless planted there.

This places me well to the right of the communist “Black Citizens Council” thug lobby lionizing the Hood’s hoods as anything but criminals.

I call them “chocolate Klansmen.”

As such, I have much more in common with George Zimmerman of the Trayvon Martin case fame than liberal Blacks ignoring our murder rate to go ape over occasional non-Black suspects.

The Hood’s molly coddled tormentors are my personal specialty. I make no secret of believing that opposing them is today’s equivalent of the 1963 March On Washington.

As a citizen on patrol and an American Black, I followed the Zimmerman case closely. This unique vantage sometimes placed me at odds with mainstream media and conservative news outlets.

Things have cooled off a bit, allowing a more dispassionate review of a case race-baiters hoped would explode into national ethnic warfare.

I know only too well the thug mindset downloaded into millions of young Black male minds- it culturally surrounds me.

Liberals prefer to privately air these concerns, but I don’t owe chocolate Klansmen the courtesy of a gag order.

Their ignorant, bullying swagger and violence is well known to Americans of all colors. Pictures and accounts surfaced that suggest the late Trayvon Martin may have been part of this ghetto branch of anti-social, communist collectivism.

Gold teeth, while not a constitutional admission of criminality, argue badly when benefit of the doubt is required.

Where I’m from, such cosmetic dentistry is a sure sign of chocolate Klansman affiliation. One is either a predator or perhaps trying to fit in with these goons.

Even worse are thug enablers in good standing of supportive “Black Citizens Councils”, which include civil rights organizations, activists, clergy, and others who should know better.

Reports Martin was suspended from school during the fatal night in question also tilt benefit of the doubt away from him in some minds.

Critics can dismiss this conjecture as purely circumstantial, especially the famed hoodie worn that fatal night.

American Black boys and men have the dubious right to gold teeth and not to have legal infractions outweigh the facts in separate matters.

We’re also free to walk at night to purchase Skittles or anything else we can afford.

We’re not free, however, to ignore how chocolate Klansman rampages place other Americans on guard against us.

This is the real world. I always advise urban boys and men not to use thug-wear, nor hang out with known criminals.

Again, they’re free to do so; but society (police and concerned citizens of all colors ) are also free to exercise added scrutiny these stupid decisions invite.

My “Make Peace With America” dialogue places blame squarely upon them, not others, for adopting chocolate Klansman mannerisms, attire, and records.

George Zimmerman, like other Americans, doubtlessly knows that chocolate Klansmen are disproportionately represented in local criminal ranks.

That’s not racism; it’s realism based upon who’s committing crime.

While deeply concerned that he may have followed Martin after calling 911 with his suspicions, as a citizen on patrol, I know Martin also fit the age and attire of this offender group.

I’ve lost more people to chocolate Klasnmen than I can count. The vicious subculture mass-producing them promises even more murder.

While questions about Zimmerman on that fatal night are understandable, looming over them remains a Black male criminal dynamic that liberal Black Citizens Councils refuse to denounce.

They also refuse to explore Black on White crime rates and their toxic role in race relations few dare discuss above whispers.

Like daily Black murder victims no liberal trumpets, George Zimmerman is a victim too- of socialist silence about chocolate Klansmen and the cover-up provided while demonizing occasional non-Blacks suspected of killing us.

Against this loaded back drop, it’s clear George Zimmerman is a victim too!

Last week, Vice President Joe Biden gave a feigned and somber introduction to a news conference where the president pontificated and released his response to “senseless gun violence,” setting the tone for the introduction of twenty-three gun proposal measures, including nineteen executive orders that he believes will be beneficial in reducing gun violence.

I think most Americans wholeheartedly agree that what happened in Aurora, Colorado and Newtown, Connecticut- though statistically random- was tragic nonetheless. The country was stunned as it heard the reports of innocent and defenseless people killed by James Holmes while attempting to enjoy a recreational night at a movie theater in Colorado.  If that wasn’t bad enough, the country was particularly grief-stricken when confronted with the painful aftermath of twenty children, literally the innocent of the innocent, gunned down by Adam Lanza at a school in Connecticut.

Though tragic as these incidents were, the president’s proposals during his showroom news conference will do little to prevent another Aurora or Newtown.

In the Aurora shooting, James Holmes purchased his guns and ammunition legally (which were semi-automatic, non-military rifles).  Furthermore, in committing his terror, Holmes may have specifically chosen the theater he did because it was one that explicitly markets itself as a “gun free zone,” meaning he may have known before he committed his evil acts that he would have little to no defensive opposition, thus allowing him to maximize his damage.

In Newtown, Adam Lanza illegally obtained the guns used in the killings from his mother (who had purchased them legally) after killing her.  In addition to Lanza using stolen guns that weren’t his, he had a history of mental illness that many argue contributed to and motivated his passion to kill his mother along with the teachers and students at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

So at base level, the news conference was nothing more than smoke and mirrors, attempting to look busy while doing nothing. Or as liberals love to have it, receiving credit for their intentions rather than the results of their intentions.

But there are other things more disturbing about the president’s news conference.

First, that Barack Obama would purposely use children as tools for emotional and political manipulation and as shields to avert criticism of his proposed agenda is absolutely cowardly as it is shameful.  If his children are off limits and can’t be used for politics, America’s children should be off limits for the same reasons as well.

Second, the fact that the president, Joe Biden and other politicians who advocate “sweeping gun control laws” continue to use Sandy Hook and Aurora as a pedestal to justify their position is breathtaking and immoral. As mentioned above, the president’s proposals had they been implemented would have done little or nothing to avert those tragedies.  More importantly and equally as telling, the President, Joe Biden, nor Senator Dianne Feinstein (who herself has a conceal and carry permit) haven’t used the crime statistics of Oakland (over 130 murders, a five year high) or the murder rate of the president’s hometown of Chicago (which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country), which tallied 532 murders in addition to 2,670 people shot in 2012 (based on statistics compiled by the website “Crime in Chicago“), as motivation to take serious steps at reducing gun violence.

Though the President did mention “the inner-city streets of Chicago” toward the end of the press conference, he has been noticeably silent regarding the increasing and brazen violence on Chicago’s streets since he’s been president, where law-abiding citizens have been living in fear for some time.

This lack of acknowledgement is telling.  What it says is that in the liberal mind, white lives taken at the hands of criminals using guns in Aurora, Newtown, on the campus of Virginia Tech, and in Oregon have more worth inherently- but more importantly, for gun-grabbing Democrats, politically- than the lives lost in the inner cities of America where large concentrations of minorities live.

It’s the same mentality that drove the circus surrounding the Trayvon Martin murder.  The president- aided and abetted by the media and in conjunction with political hacks and race pimps like Al $harpton and Je$$e Jack$on- racially trivialized the death of Martin and manipulated the emotions of his family and their supporters regarding the circumstances surrounding Martin’s death.  The attention paid to this incident- sad as it was and prior to knowing all the facts- was out of proportion to the amount in which blacks are victims of violent crimes by white suspects.

It was noted at the time that there was a noticeable lack of attention and coverage by the President, the media, and race pimps alike regarding the insanely high murder rate of blacks who are the victims of other blacks.  This led many people (but not enough) to the conclusion that the lives of black victims at the hands of other blacks weren’t as inherently valuable as those black lives taken at the hands of white suspects.  This conclusion was a transparent indicator that politics is what mattered most.

The same is absolutely true here.  Twelve people were killed in Aurora, and twenty-seven people were killed in Newtown.  While tragic, 532 were killed in Chicago. Mass murder, though tragic and shocking, is rare; gang violence is much more frequent and prevalent.  If the President and his sycophants truly cared about reducing gun violence, dangerous environments like that found in Chicago would have taken precedence and motivated him to executive action some time ago.

This charade isn’t about reducing gun violence whatsoever.  It’s about government control and the reduction of the liberty of law-abiding Americans, period.  And in attempting to do so, President Obama has become the most successful gun salesman in American history.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — George Zimmerman sued NBC on Thursday, claiming he was defamed when the network edited his 911 call to police after the shooting of Trayvon Martin to make it sound like he was racist.

The former neighborhood watch volunteer filed the lawsuit seeking an undisclosed amount of money in Seminole County, outside Orlando. Also named in the complaint were three reporters covering the story for NBC or an NBC-owned television station.

The complaint said the airing of the edited call has inflicted emotional distress on Zimmerman, making him fear for his life and causing him to suffer nausea, insomnia and anxiety.

The lawsuit claims NBC edited his phone call to a dispatcher in February. In the call, Zimmerman describes following Martin in the gated community where he lived, just moments before he fatally shot the 17-year-old teen during a confrontation.

“NBC saw the death of Trayvon Martin not as a tragedy but as an opportunity to increase ratings, and so set about to create a myth that George Zimmerman was a racist and predatory villain,” the lawsuit claims.

Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman is suing NBC over the network’s botched editing of his 911 tape, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

We hear Zimmerman’s attorneys are about to file a complaint against NBC and its top executives, naming news president Steve Capus and correspondent Ron Allen, who was the reporter on the scene for the broadcast on “Today” on March 27. He also remained the reporter for the story on “NBC Nightly News.”

It didn’t take long for liberals in the blogosphere to make backhanded and blatantly false accusations of racism against Congressman Paul Ryan, and you’re not going to believe the rationale used for leveling the accusation. Apparently, Paul Ryan is a racist because…

Here’s the scoop. Kelli Goff, the political writer for “The Root”, informs us that Ryan not only has a “black sister-in-law,” but that “his ‘college sweetheart’ was African-American” as well.

And how, in heaven’s name, do those facts make Ryan a racist? They don’t, but that didn’t stop Goff from using convoluted and almost comical ‘reasoning’ to make the clear and libelous implication.

As Goff explains it: “When someone finds himself on the ropes facing an allegation of racism, the go-to reflex defense is usually something along the lines of ‘But some of my best friends are black!’ Translation: ‘I can’t possibly be racist or racially insensitive because there are black people I like and they like me.’”

Did you catch the implication, and how Goff has now lowered the bar on accusations of racism to previously unheard of depths? If someone is actually capable of offering a legitimate behavior-based defense to false and baseless accusations of racism, then that person must be a racist.

While the accusation is only implied, my mother, when she was alive, would have called it a “backhanded accusation.” Goff is clearly leading the reader to believe that Ryan must be a racist because, assuming someone actually came right out and made an explicit accusation of racism against Ryan, he would then be inclined to say: ‘I have a Black sister-in-law and I dated an African-American girl in college’ and, as everyone knows, the fact that Ryan would be inclined to plea the “but-some-of-my-best-friends-are” defense constitutes undeniable proof of his racism prior to the fact.

If you still didn’t catch Goff’s implication, don’t waste your time thinking too hard. While her thesis is clearly ridiculous, judging by many of the comments from the Amen-Chorus on the article, it’s more than clear that Goff’s liberal readers not only clearly understood the implication but also fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

And if you’re looking for any other evidence that Goff might be relying upon, say some quirk in Ryan’s behavior or an incident in his past, to make the accusatory implication, don’t bother. You won’t find it, as the bulk of the remainder of Goff’s article is devoted to what initially appears to be a dysfunctional and tangential hashing-up of old stories about the late Senator Strom Thurmond, television commentator Lou Dobbs, and Trayvon Martin’s shooter George Zimmerman.

Later in the article, it appears that Goff only went off on the tangent as a means of working up to a broader point, as she put it, that “it is possible to have a black friend, Asian friend, Hispanic friend, or Muslim friend or wife and still exhibit prejudice toward that group.”

However, while it would be impossible to know Goff’s intentions, it is interesting that she devoted so much type to Thurmond, Dobbs, and Zimmerman. Guilt by association is a powerful weapon, and her tangential ramblings did supply the perfect ruse for her to interject an association between Ryan and Thurmond, Dobbs, and Zimmerman, people that Goff obviously assumes her liberal readers view as villains, even though no association actually exists between these men.

And so, in The ‘World According To Goff’, one should not dismiss any claims of racism against Ryan that may surface in the future because it is entirely possible that a white person can have cordial and intimate relationships with minorities and still be a racist. And should accusations be made at some future time, and Ryan refers to his personal relationships as a defense, then the statement would not only be a clear admission of guilt, but would also place him in the esteemed company of Thurmond, Dobbs, and Zimmerman.

While Goff’s implications are clear (and clumsy), they may also be telegraphing what is yet to come as the presidential campaign unfolds. At least the rather mendacious odor of a set-up is in the air.

Will false, and more emphatically stated, accusations of racism against Ryan come at a later date? And if so, will some other journalist actually reference Goff’s ‘innocent observation’ to bolster the false accusation after Ryan issues the logical response?

You can almost envision some liberal writing, at a future date ‘of course, this isn’t the first accusation of racism against Ryan….’ Would it be paranoid to suspect that there a set-up in the works?

Crystal Wright penned an excellent retort of Goff’s backhanded hit-piece for Town Hall (a highly recommended read, by the way) in which she observes: “Referencing no examples of behavior by Ryan that could be viewed racist, Goff only suggests that one day Ryan may be faced with racist allegations and use the fact that he dated a black woman in college as his defense.”

Wright isn’t necessarily implying that there’s more to come (then again, maybe she is, but let’s not put words in her mouth), but her statement does provide some reassure that suspicions, at least in this particular case, wouldn’t necessarily qualify a person for membership in the tin-foil-hat club.

At the very least, Goff’s accusation is deplorable, and her incredulous cry of innocence toward the end of the article that she’s “not calling Ryan a racist” rings hollow. Goff’s implication was clear. One only need ask: if Goff didn’t intend to throw out a false and baseless accusation that Ryan is a racist, then why did she write the article in the first place?

The answer, of course, is that Goff intended to place the question into the political dialogue. As to her purpose and whether more is to come, only time will tell.

Can America Be Saved? Yes… And No.

As Executive Director of The American Patriot Alliance, I’ve had, over the past few months, a lot of members and supporters ask me if I think America can be saved. In light of the circumstances and events that have occurred in the past year, whether it be the Occupy Wall Street movement, legislation aimed at reducing our individual rights and liberties such as SOPA and CISPA, or President Barack Obama’s political posturing in support of same-sex marriage (an issue he was completely AGAINST in 2008), it’s become a valid and reasonable question.

And my reply is simple ~ YES… and NO. So maybe it’s NOT that simple.

Whether America survives or not is going to be determined by several factors, none more important than the spirit of the American people who BELIEVE strongly enough in her exceptionalism that she’s WORTH saving — whether we still have the fight left in us we showed in 2010. This is NOT going to be an easy battle, and it is going to take every moment of our lives and every ounce of energy we have to prevail. Barack Obama is determined, through legal or illegal measures, to facilitate America’s collapse. If we succeed in defeating his socialist/Marxist agenda in November, we have the opportunity to return America to the Nation of Exceptionalism and Respect denied her over the past three-and-one-half years.

During the midterm election in 2010, American Conservative Patriots came together as a tour de force under the banner of the TEA Party and the realization that a Democratic-controlled Congress, coupled with a socialist, anti-American President, was leading this country down a road of social and economic decline with reckless abandonment. ObamaCare, unemployment, economic instability, and a lack of vision was plummeting America down the side of a mountain into an abyss of moral decay and decadence. From one knee bent in prayer, we stood up together, and what we achieved was the BEGINNING of a restoration of the most incredible Nation, a gift from God that represented the greatest experiment in government the world has ever seen. We succeeded… to an extent.

What we face right now is our greatest enemy… and its name is APATHY. We have, for the most part, rested on the laurels of 2010, watching Congress and the Presidency once again determine our own futures. Can America be saved? YES… and No.

There is NO higher office in the Nation… not the Presidency, nor Congress, nor the Supreme Court, nor any state or local government… than that of the American Citizen. This is OUR Country. It is OUR destiny. It is the FUTURE of our children and theirs. What then are we going to say when they ask us, “Why didn’t you do something, anything, when you knew what was happening?” What will our answer be? YES, or NO.

Where we go from here, my friends, is OUR decision, and ours alone. Do we still have the fight in us to reverse the course of destruction set upon us by Congress and the Presidency?

I had a chance recently to meet Colonel Allen West, a man I truly believe epitomizes the mindset, determination and will of the American People. And while it may have seemed an honor to shake his hand, I kept thinking back to all of you. He is but one man, and he can’t win this fight alone. Nor can Sarah Palin, Marco Rubio, Glenn Beck, or Rush. This HAS TO BE OUR FIGHT, and we must have the courage and determination to take it to fruition. We MUST stand together shoulder-to-shoulder and advocate at the top of our lungs, “We will NOT be defeated!” For if we do NOT stand together, surely we will fall apart.

So many of you express the frustration that have manifested itself across this nation. What can we do? How can “I,” as one person make that difference? Never believe that your words, your actions, or your self-determination make no difference in the greater picture of what we can accomplish. A jigsaw puzzle consists of hundreds of pieces that by themselves look much like nothing. But piece by piece, the picture comes together. Each piece intricately woven into the next until finally, the full power and beauty of the picture is revealed. THIS is what we must represent.

I was so fortunate recently to visit some of the most incredible friends I could wish for during a trip to Boca Raton, Florida. During that time, I met more and more people who were expressing the same anxieties and concerns about the future of our nation. As we broke bread together, it became abundantly clear to each of us that’s we’re NOT in this battle alone. We have not only each other, but the power and the might of an incredible God standing ready to shield, protect, and provide us the strength to turn the tide in this War on America. We have that fire inside us. We have the resolve. And we MUST come together, REGARDLESS of race, ethnicity, or religious belief against an administration that ran on a platform of unity and yet has done NOTHING in three years other than tear this nation apart, pit race against race, pit poor against the wealthy, pit Americans against illegal immigrants, and fail to treat ALL Americans equally (while pandering to an illegal voter base through lawsuits, threats, and intimidation.) Our words, actions, and deeds MUST once again show the world we will NOT go down without a fight.

Several months ago, Barack Obama, by his words and the directives of the Department of Justice, attempted to further divide this country (in collusion with two of the most vile racists in America, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson) during the national debates over the Trayvon Martin shooting. His comment that Martin could have been his son were not only divisive and intentional; they showed exactly how Obama’s modus operandi worked. Divide and Conquer. Turn everyone against each other. What is most interesting in this respect is the complete and utter disdainful absence of Obama and Holder’s comments with regards to a young man who was doused in gasoline and set on fire for being WHITE. WHERE are Obama, Holder, Jackson, or Sharpton on the issue of a white couple who were kidnapped, RAPE, BEATEN, TORTURED, and brutally MURDERED by 5 men? Is not MURDER MURDER? WHY are we putting a RACIAL spin on it? Are we not ALL Americans, or must we continue to live with “hyphenations” so that the “Racist Five” have a purpose in life?

Whether you are white, black, Hispanic, European, or Asian, as an American citizen you have a stake in the outcome of this election… a chance to show that being an AMERICAN transcends those racial and ethnic barriers, and that we stand for the future of our children against individuals such as Obama, Holder, Jackson, Sharpton, and the myriad others who would have no more satisfaction than to see this country split apart. That is their goal… THAT is their endgame.

Throughout the course of our history, we have been challenged at every turn, thrown into constant conflict with forces that wish us not only harm, but complete annihilation. And we have prevailed. Now, once again, we find ourselves backed into a corner… thrown into a battle many of us never thought we’d see in our lifetime. This is OUR WAR. The end result will answer the question, “Can America Be Saved?”

If we fail to come together, side-by-side, providing a 360-degree defense, we will lose, and the answer will be a resounding NO! And what we can achieve was most recently illustrated during the nationwide Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, where an estimated 10 million Americans stood in line for hours to show their support for the First Amendment rights of a fast-food restaurant owner DEMONIZED by leftist intolerance simply because he DARED express his views opposing same-sex marriage. How quickly those same people forget that in 2008, their own Messiah, Barack Obama, announced he did NOT support same-sex marriage and believed that marriage was between a man and a woman. That is what is necessary to defeat Obama in November and begin the painful process of physical, economic, social, and moral rehabilitation.

But I have faith. I have a firm belief and conviction that the same God who gave us this Nation will see us through until the end. It is His Word and His Promise. When I fall to one knee, I do so NOT in submission or surrender, but rather in prayer and thanksgiving that the Lord, Our God, has blessed me with the knowledge, strength, wisdom, and friendships to make a DIFFERENCE in this struggle. The question is, will you be there with me’ We can’t do this alone, and as God is my witness, I have sworn I will NOT see America fall… not here, not now in my lifetime… and not as long as I have a breath in my body and a beat left in my heart.

YES, I believe America can be saved. And I believe, too, that everyone of you will stand with me before these forces of darkness and proclaim loudly, “BRING IT! This battle belongs to the Lord; WE are just the instruments of His victory.”

YES… I believe America CAN be saved.
