On his radio show Thursday, Rush Limbaugh claimed that Democrats craved the “chaos” of gun violence to justify further restrictions on gun possession.
What Difference Does It Make…?

Author’s Note - I began my most recent post with the following:
“I never imagined that I’d find myself quoting Bill’s one-time heart throb (okay, eons of time ago), but using her just happens to suit my purpose. (Guess Bill and I aren’t so different after all….)”
Due to an inadvertent title change (the title was to have been the same as this one’s), readers were no doubt puzzled by this. Hopefully, this will clear things up.
Anyone who registers even the faintest EKG response realizes that the “Mainstream Media” isn’t mainstream. So if you felt your not insignificant intelligence was being insulted…and therefore didn’t dive headlong into the piece, I’d ask you to reconsider, as I believe our perception of the establishment media (which almost no one in this audience either reads or watches) is at the very root of all that ails us…and I mean that with absolute sincerity!
Note that I did not say that the endangered media is the problem, but that our perception of it is. Hear me out….
Every national Conservative pundit I know, with the exception of Rush Limbaugh (who has famously – and accurately – dubbed them the “Drive-by” or “Endangered Media”), Michael Savage, and Joseph Farah (who both refer to them as the “so-called ‘mainstream’ media”), mindlessly refers to them as the “mainstream” or “MSM” – freely bestowing upon them the highest of both compliments and credibility!
Would we have called the Communists’ Pravda (far more conservative today than our own state-controlled press!) the Soviet Union’s “mainstream” media? Of course not! It was nothing more than a state-owned organ of propaganda…and while George Soros may not own the New York Times outright (or even in part), it is clear that he, his allies, and his pawns are in lockstep with its entire agenda. (Obviously everything I have said about the networks applies to the so-called “Newspaper of Record,” as well as to its counterparts from coast to coast – whose viewership and coffers are also universally, and happily, “on the brink.”)
To put this in perspective I will recount an experience I had last spring, when AZ State Representative Carl Seel took me by to introduce me to then Speaker of the House, Andy Tobin. It was a Friday afternoon, perhaps 2:00 or 3:00, and the Speaker had gone for the week, as it turned out. His secretary dutifully wrote down my name and phone number, however, promising to have him call me…which, of course, he never did. I knew little about the Speaker at that time, but have since learned all I need to know: he’s a “Republican” – not a Conservative, and a “politician” – not a Statesman, as best I can tell. (It’s difficult, of course, to know any of our “representatives” well when they refuse to respond to their constituents!
As I left his office that day, and passed through the deserted anteroom, there on a freshly-polished inlaid-Mahogany desk, positioned with almost reverential deference it seemed, was a symbol of everything that was wrong with our “veto-proof” Republican Legislature, buoyed up (?) by our Republican (CINO) Governor. There, as a voice from the past, lay the day’s copy of the once-great, once-revered Arizona Republic – no doubt in a far-distant time, the voice of the People of the Great State of Arizona…but no longer.
Like every other “news” outlet and major establishment newspaper in America, it had long since ceased to speak for the People, but had become a pointed instrument through which the errantly-named “servants of the People” could oppress them (in the name of “the oppressed”), and deprive them of their God-given, and at one-time Constitutionally-protected, rights.
Yet how are The Republic and its ideological counterparts nationwide referred to by virtually everyone on our side to this day? As the “mainstream media” – the theoretical “voice of the People.”
In truth, however, almost none of us reads The Republic any more (I know of no one personally); and its circulation attests to that; but as long as the politicians (our putative representatives) do – and as long as they mindlessly accept that the rest of us do – it will continue to inform their every emotional impulse. (I almost said “every thought,” but would have missed the mark in so doing!)
Make no mistake about it, John McCain, Jon Kyle (formerly), and now Jeff Flake have no doubt that The Republic speaks both FOR and TO the citizens of Arizona…although nothing could be further from the truth. (Circulation today is 275,622 daily, and 483, 556 on Sunday, out of a population of 4,289,323, or some 1,578,471 households; thus making the portion of households receiving The Republic 31% on Sunday, but only 17% during the week.
As long as they (our elected officials) believe that The Republic speaks for (and to) the citizens of Arizona, however – and they no doubt will continue to do so until we drive them from office for failing to represent us – they will continue to rule over us with disdain and disregard for our sovereignty and for our rights.
While they may well know that these outmoded organs no longer represent the views of the People, they simultaneously know that they DO represent the views of the elite Ruling Class…and towards the latter is clearly where their loyalty lies! (There are exceptions among elected officials, but they are just that…and rare indeed!)
Our president’s mentor Saul Alinsky said this: “Always remember the first rule of power tactics: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have” (pp. 126-127, Rules for Radicals).
As long as we the People – and our “leaders” – continue to accept that the OEM (Obsolete Establishment Media) either represents the People, or is being listened to by the People, they will continue to be considered the voice of authority, the FINAL word on what WE want or believe.
And yet, they have ONLY the power which WE, the People, give them…and no more. (Those whom we employ to represent us may choose to follow the lead of the OEM, but as their employers we can terminate their employment when we finally rise up and do so (John McCain being the perfect place to start!).
This all begins, of course, with an understanding of the true strength of our position, and the abject weakness of theirs! (That is what this entire article has been about.) We needn’t mindlessly and obsequiously grant them a status and an authority which not only belie reality, but are completely undeserved!
So here is a tip for all of us: Turn them off! Don’t buy, watch, or read them…and refer to them no more as the “mainstream media” or “MSM”! You wouldn’t consciously give money to the DNC (or perhaps even the RNC at this point!), so why would you give money to, or otherwise support, those who trumpet their failed message to the world, in defiance of the voice of the majority of the American People?
Enough is enough! We don’t need to “tune in” in order to know what they are up to! (If you couldn’t write their every story, giving their every officially-approved party line – on any subject, on any given day – then, with respect, you haven’t been paying attention!) Any one of us could write for any one of their publications starting tomorrow…or sooner! All we’d need to do is lip-sync their anemic platitudes…and cease to engage in rational thought. Like you, however, I’m afraid I can’t – and won’t- do that!

Gay Propaganda Campaign Takes Offensive Turn

Offending the moral sensibilities of millions of Americans, Time Magazine is featuring cover stories showing two white homosexual couples kissing. The Right Scoop blog ran a “censored version of the offensive covers.”
John Aravosis, the homosexual activist who runs Americablog.com, said this is part of a propaganda campaign to normalize homosexuality. He said, “The kiss has been quite a powerful political weapon in the gay arsenal for a while now. And checking our archives, it’s rather amazing how important the ‘gay kiss’ has been to our political struggle over the years.”
The purpose is to desensitize people to homosexuality and increase acceptance of the lifestyle.
Media bias is also evident in the influence of the media-funded National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA).
The NLGJA says coverage of the homosexual marriage debate before the Supreme Court was “balanced—supportive even” and that program hosts “felt compelled to disagree with them [opponents of homosexual marriage] on air.”
We noted the media’s failure to cover the March for Marriage in Washington, D.C.
On the Time cover photos, the NLGJA said, “The black-and-white photos are an interesting, provocative selection. The magazine didn’t opt for family photos of smiling, nonthreatening gay and lesbian families and their kids: It went for the part of same-sex marriage that may be most off-putting to mainstream cultures. The kissing, the sexuality. It’s a bold choice for a mainstream publication to make.”
Regarding the story itself, the NLGJA said it “was largely positive, save for a colorful sentence about AIDS and bathhouses.”
The offensive phrase was that the deadly disease AIDS was “burning outward from the bathhouses…” These are places where anonymous gay sex is common. Homosexuals are determined to keep coverage of the health hazards of homosexuality out of mainstream media.
On his Reliable Sources program, supposedly devoted to media criticism, host Howard Kurtz featured two homosexual rights supporters, John Aravosis and Jennifer Rubin, who writes “The Right Turn” blog for The Washington Post.
Nevertheless, he noted the bias in the coverage, explaining that “Liberal commentators are thrilled that the marriage debate is swinging their way, at least in the court of public opinion, while many conservative pundits were muted or surprisingly supportive.” He cited Bill O’Reilly of Fox News declaring that “The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals,” and dismissing opponents as Bible-thumpers.
The latter was apparently a reference to the Christian teaching that marriage involves a man and a woman and that homosexuality is prohibited in the Bible because it is unnatural and sinful.
Rush Limbaugh countered: “So how many of you who watch Fox are Bible thumpers? Do you think there are any Bible thumpers, quote/unquote, that watch Fox? Because last night you were sort of marginalized on [O’Reilly’s show] The Factor as not having a compelling argument and just being a bunch of Bible thumpers.”
Limbaugh also noted the influence of the “Gay Mafia,” which he described as “the activist homosexual lobby” contributing “big bucks” to the Democratic Party and leading the campaign for homosexual marriage.
Interestingly, it was Time Magazine that ran a 2008 story, “The Gay Mafia That’s Redefining Liberal Politics.” One of the rich members of the group was identified as Timothy Gill of Denver, the founder of Quark, Inc., a computer software company and a tech multimillionaire, who says he has singlehandedly “invested more than $220 million” in the cause of homosexual rights through his Gill Foundation.
An earlier 2007 Time story, “The Gay Mogul Changing U.S. Politics,” estimated his fortune at $425 million. Denver political analyst Floyd Ciruli compared Gill to George Soros: “What you have are extremely wealthy individuals who aren’t personally interested in running for anything but have this tremendous passion. Like George Soros, Tim Gill is actually changing the political landscape”
But Soros, too, has a big hand in changing the landscape for the benefit of the homosexuals. In 2009, he financed the “New Beginning Initiative” to encourage the Obama Administration to make “policy changes” to benefit the homosexual movement.
The Gill Foundation is also behind “OutGiving,” which claims to have “provided unique opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and allied donors to gather in a private setting to engage in conversation with each other and with respected LGBT and allied leaders about ways to advance equality through philanthropy.” OutGiving says it has “inspired hundreds of donors to give more strategically and more generously to improve the lives of LGBT [Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender] people across the country and around the world.”
The biannual OutGiving Conference is said to be “geared toward individuals whose annual philanthropy exceeds $25,000 and who are interested in increasing the effectiveness of their giving in support of the LGBT movement.”
They are meeting in Chicago, Illinois this week. However, the event is by “invitation-only” and “private,” and “no media are permitted.”
Don’t look for the homosexuals in the media to blow their cover.
Media bias is also evident in the fact that 13 of the top 15 newspapers in the country have editorialized their support for homosexual marriage. The pro-homosexual American Foundation for Equal Rights identified these publications as:

The homosexual movement senses that victory is just around the corner. And Limbaugh himself says federal approval of homosexual marriage may be “inevitable.” But referring to the group’s March 26 March for Marriage, Brian Brown of the National Organization for Marriage said, “Forget the media hype and confusion, our numbers today show that the American people are strongly pro-marriage and pro-marriage Americans aren’t going anywhere. This is the beginning of the fight to protect marriage. Our opponents know this, which is why they are hoping the Supreme Court will cut short a debate they know they will ultimately lose if the political process and democracy are allowed to run their course. Those who believe that marriage is the unique and special union of one man and one woman are on the right side of history.”

Churches: Time To Fight!

You can’t win the fight if you don’t put on the gloves.
A punch-drunk, old heavyweight boxer knows that’s a truism, but not the churches of America.
The Supreme Court heard arguments this week on the constitutionality of California’s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state by a 52 to 47 margin in 2008 but has since been declared unconstitutional by federal courts.
Fox TV, Rush Limbaugh, and other talk-show pundits have weighed in, arguing the conservative — and moral — position that sanctifying gay marriage with the grace of the U.S. Constitution is not only wrong but a serious threat to the culture of this country.
But those media outlets often speak to those who are already in the choir. That leaves a lot of other Americans who aren’t hearing anyone preaching the conservative argument on gay marriage.
I don’t expect the GOP to provide any leadership. Republicans are too busy cat-fighting with each other and making sure their presidential choice will be whooped by Hillary Clinton in 2016.
And where in the heck are the churches on the issue of legalizing gay marriage?
Where are the Protestants, Jews, and Catholics? Have they lost their tongues? Their hearts and wills? Their institutional you-know-whats?
Where’s the moral outrage? Why aren’t thousands of our pastors, priests, and rabbis shouting from their pulpits? Why aren’t they leading their congregations through the streets in mass protest?
Why aren’t their bishops appearing on the tube with David Gregory and Piers Morgan to defend the institution of marriage as a union of one man and one woman?
Like the bank executives who are too chicken to stand up to the federal bullies in Washington, and like the energy company bosses in California who won’t stand up to the Green Socialists in Sacramento, the churches cower in fear.
Are they afraid to lose their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by engaging in political activity? Are they afraid to be derided as religious nuts and cultural Cro-Magnons by the liberal media?
Or are our churches and their comfortable leaders simply no longer willing to fight for what is right?
This fight over Proposition 8 isn’t just about saying it should be legal in the eyes of government for two people of the same sex to get married in California.
It’s ultimately about changing the culture of the entire country; it inevitably will lead to teaching our public school kids that gay marriage is a perfectly fine alternative and no different than traditional marriage. There is also a very slippery slope leading to other alternative relationships and the unconstitutionality of any law based on morality. Think about polygamy, bestiality, and perhaps even murder.
Churches should be in the vanguard of the fight to defend the culture against legalized gay marriage, not hiding in their pews.
Sure, the mainstream liberal media will be against them and will ignore them as much as they can. But if the churches show up en masse — and make sure millions of their members’ voices are heard — the media will be forced to cover them, and even the Supreme Court will feel the political wind.
Meanwhile, as the High Court decides our fate, it’s time for the churches to get engaged and start fighting for America, instead of wimping out. If it takes them giving up their 501(c)(3) status to start fighting for righteousness, then I’m all for it.

Obama’s Ministry Of Propaganda Or How I Came To Love The New Normal
Ever since the horror at the end of the Boston Marathon, we have been witness to Obama’s Ministry of Propaganda at its absolute despicable worst. The Ministry of Propaganda, euphemistically self-named the “mainstream” media, includes the major TV networks and their radio news versions, big-city newspapers, and of course, the source of most of their “news,” the AP (Associated Press). In spite of the growth of the “alternate” media – the Internet and talk radio – it’s still the source of most people’s knowledge of what’s going on in the world. This helps explain the phenomena of what Rush Limbaugh has dubbed the “Low Information Voter,” among other things, since what they all put out is a mixture of lies, intentional distortion – called by them “spin” – and opinion disguised as fact. All of it is designed to brainwash the public into believing the Enemy’s version of reality.
We’ve seen this repeatedly, with every mass murder in recent years. The Ministry immediately tries to blame it on “right-wingers” – read, conservatives – with every outlet using the same terms, over and over, making it crystal clear to anyone with an IQ over room temperature that they are being fed their “spin” from a single source. Nearly always, you can bet the source is the White House, or the Democrat National Committee. Interestingly, since 1998 when Eric Rudolph, the Atlanta bomber, was arrested, I can’t think of a “right-wing” killer, whether with guns or bombs. They have all been registered Democrats, progressives/left-wingers, or liberals, including the Islamic terrorists who “allegedly” committed the Boston Marathon bombing. And when you look at the ones before McVeigh in 1995, again, they are all Democrats, progressives/left-wingers, or liberals.
The Boston Marathon bombing coverage is déjà vu all over again. The Ministry is going all out to paint the Chechan Muslim barbarians as warm, fuzzy innocent victims, referring to the younger one as a “teen” and using old pictures of him dressed in academic robes, with a carnation on the lapel. They did this with Trevon Martin, too, using a pictures of him when he was 12, rather than the ones he posted on his Facebook page of him in a wife-beater tee-shirt, showing off his tattoos. Speaking of wife-beating, the Ministry has glossed over the older brother’s arrest for beating an old girlfriend, and you have to go to the British Press, the Daily Mail, to learn that he often called his wife a slut and a prostitute in front of friends, and had fits of violent rage where he would throw things, including furniture. In the Ministry media, we got pictures of a smiling athlete, who clearly was really just an All-American Boy.
You don’t hear much either, about the fact that the whole family has been on welfare of various sorts, yet CNN, the Criminal News Network, described the older ghoul as “a dapper dresser” who drove a Mercedes. And when the “alternative” media tried to get the welfare facts, the Democrat Governor of Massachusetts, Duval Patrick, joined the leftist conspiracy and refused to allow access to the records, claiming it would be a violation of privacy.
Ahhh. Yes. The savages who “allegedly” killed three innocent people, including an eight-year-old child and two young women, and maimed over 250 others must have their privacy protected. The terrified public and the victims whose lives have been ruined, who will likely never fully recover from the physical and psychological damage done to them are unimportant and don’t figure into the equation. So too, the tens of thousands of citizens of Boston and its suburbs who had “lock-down” – read, “martial law” – forced upon them, with house-to-house warrantless searches done by black and camouflage uniformed, heavily armed para-military police. Ironically, and it seems routinely, it was not the police who discovered the younger savage; it was a citizen who discovered the “teen” hiding in the citizen’s boat in his back yard. Heesh…
There were lots of other irregularities that the Ministry and the Obama administration have “spun” that are very likely to end up with the surviving Islamic Terrorist being set free, or given a slap on the wrist, at most. Not reading the younger ghoul his Miranda “rights” – “rights” created and designed by leftist/progressive lawyers and complicit judges to hamstring law enforcement and give criminals more rights than law-abiding citizens, thus weakening our free, constitutional republic in order to bring on the collectivist, totalitarian state they so ardently desire – is one of the biggies that the Ministry is tut-tutting, setting the stage for Eric Holder’s Injustice Department to say, “Ooops! Guess we blew it again! Oh, well.”
As the county is overrun by millions of criminal invaders, as radical Islam infiltrates our schools, courtrooms, and government – the Muslim Brotherhood has a firm foothold in the White House and the Injustice Department – as the Constitution is shredded, one crisis at a time, all abetted, if not instigated, by Obama, the Democrats, the RINO Establishment, and the Ministry of Propaganda, we see the America we once knew on the verge of becoming a memory. Welcome to Obama’s New Normal.
