New Video Offers A Glimpse Inside Federal Agency’s Lavish Las Vegas Conference

(CNN) — Congressional investigators are accusing the General Services Administration of violating its employee gift limit with rewards of iPods, digital cameras and other electronics, just as a video emerged of a lavish conference that shows employees drinking and making jokes about wasteful spending.

The video, first obtained by The Huffington Post on Friday, offered a glimpse inside the agency’s $820,000 conference in Las Vegas. An administration official confirmed the authenticity of the video and provided a copy to CNN.

Reports of the lavish conference have prompted taxpayer outrage, embarrassed the administration and put a spotlight on the wasteful spending by the agency that acts as a real estate agency for the federal government.

“These videos reinforce once again the complete lack of judgment exhibited during the 2010 Western Regions Conference,” said Greg Mecher, a GSA spokesman. “Our agency continues to be appalled by this indefensible behavior, and we are taking every step possible to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.”

The latest news comes just days after the Office of the Inspector General documented massive overspending by the GSA. The fallout from the report’s revelations has sparked a congressional investigation and seen the GSA chief step down, two other employees fired and a number of others suspended.

Liberal Women Not Breeding Are Something To Be Thankful For

Lizz Winstead Liberal Women Not Breeding Are Something to Be Thankful For

Lizz Winstead, is a comedienne and television “personality” I’ve never heard of. She’s been involved in a number of liberal TV and radio productions. In 2003, she co-founded and served as the program director at the defunct Air America Radio network. Since 2005 she has been a contributing blogger at the liberal Huffington Post.

She has a new book coming out in May. We got a hint of its content when she was interviewed by Ed Schultz on his radio show. She ranted that being married and having children was “indentured servitude.” Good for us. Self-imposed liberal birth control is sounding more appealing to me.

I’m so thankful that Cher only had one child who will never have children. Is this a mean thing to say? I didn’t chop her up. I didn’t make her what she wants to be. “Chaz” Bono is the poster child for the future of liberalism – neutered.

ForgeryGate: New Sheriff Calls For Roundup Of Obama Records

Jerome Corsi crop SC ForgeryGate: New Sheriff Calls for Roundup of Obama Records

A presentation by WND’s Jerome Corsi to a standing-room-only crowd has convinced a New Jersey lawmaker and a local sheriff that the issue of President Obama’s eligibility for office “will have to be addressed.”

“The easiest way to put this to rest is to have the records unsealed,” Morris County Sheriff Ed Rochford told the Huffington Post in an email following the April 4 event in Morristown. “Mr. Corsi made a very convincing argument that President Obama may not be a natural born citizen of the United States.”

Likewise, New Jersey Assemblyman Anthony Bucco, R-Boonton, said Corsi’s speech leaves doubts about Obama’s citizenship status. He told the website it is not his place to determine whether Obama is a citizen, and he believes “a higher authority” must resolve the issue.

“I am not in a position to say what he put up on screen is demonstrative of evidence; that is for the court of law,” Bucco said. “This issue has not resolved itself. It won’t until some higher authority is involved.”

The evening was organized by Billy Baer and Dan Haggerty, who cohost the radio program “The Baer Haggerty Offensive” on Repatriot Radio broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM in Philadelphia. Corsi told a crowd of 250 people: “The mainstream media has not given this fair treatment. But this is not going away. We really don’t know who our president is.”

Forgerygate: Obama Documents – UFOs, Bigfoot And The Link That Is Not Missing

Question Mark SC Forgerygate: Obama Documents – UFOs, Bigfoot and the Link that is Not Missing

In that vast flying gaggle of fledgling verbiage-magicians, jacked journalists and giant egos like the Huffington Post, can be found about 10-15 stories about UFO’s at any time night or day. Yet how many stories about the dozens of missing documents on Barry or the cries of fraud coming from the dozens of veteran investigators under Maricopa County’s Sheriff Arpaio does on hear? – none. Yes, there have been a few but don’t ask if they were prejudiced, biased, balanced or even tacitly reasonable. Only UFO stories seem worthy of that kind of fairness.

Huff has got some great writers but it always seems like they are an entourage sent to a deep woods junkyard in the country to go around and polish up the wrecks. In the end, the stories, the bias, the celebs, the events, and the topics covered are still a heap of wreckage from America’s junkyard of old usefuls.

Being facetious doesn’t mean you can’t be factual. What is a fact is that Huff-Po and no one else in the pain stream media has ever been forthwith, reasonable or honest concerning Barack Obama’s place of birth and other missing elements of his former life, since they first came into question. The days of investigate journalism are beginning to vanish even in the absence of judges, election officials and states AG’s who still haven’t found their way to Grand Wizard of Oz for some courage.

The big voices and chieftains have spoken.

One video floating around the cyber community for all to see is of Bill O’Reilly saying he doesn’t have time for the questions about the birth certificate. Then he proceeds to explain that the best evidence of is the two birth announcments carefully posted in local newspapers in Hawaii. He does not say that his findings are to be compared with the months of concerted efforts of dozens of seasoned investigators assisting Sheriff Arpaio and their findings. We can be thankful that he is not saying that, but his silence is only more of the same; it is now failure to reckon with a not so distant rumbling volcano.

Three years of making fun of “birthers” has resulted in a long list of undignified, indecent and unkind names to describe those in search of some facts. They are called crazies, conspiracy nuts, and a plethora of names that in the end, all add up to calling them all fools.

The search for Bigfoot, UFOs and vampires!

They are added to the class of wandering wayward wonkers who are endlessly searching for the leprechauns of Galway Bay. They are seen as the next best prospect for an episode of Mythbusters, or people who should just give up and join up with the search for Bigfoot gang. They are on a level with those who really think that werewolves and vampires stalk our city streets until dawn. They are held in the same regard as those who claim to have been abducted by aliens and taken aboard UFOs.

Oddly, none of these things are mentioned in their respective websites or blogs, unlike Huff-Po, UFO reports and other speculative myths and folklore are not tolerated. Among them are law enforcement officials, clergy, writers, politicians, statesmen professionals of every kind, military personnel and a lot of very serious down to earth Americans who believe very strongly that they have been lied to along with the entire nation.

Are the lawless calling the lawmen incompetent liars?

Sheriff Arpaio’s posse of retired veteran lawmen are among the best there is and their findings are being summarily dismissed out of hand by a band of media wimps and colluding crafty  leftist lawyers who think they can hold back the tsunami of public discontent. Lincoln, who is famous for saying “you can fool some of the people all of the time…” may be crying out from his grave – ‘these are the people I was talking about.’

Sheriff Arpaio’s conclusions are clear and precise but the media is still adamantly insisting that after Barack was nagged by millions of searchers and notables such as Donald Trump and popped up with the new previously unseen birth certificate that an end to all things had come. Now the word ‘debunked’ is used when describing the call for proof. As if birthers have been de-mythed and lawmen have been de-fanged, the whole matter has been retired. Not so fast.

Arpaio believes there’s a stench coming from the barn. The Sheriff said, “Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic, – My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”

Forensics and Documents – The All-Important Link That Is – Not Missing.

The one supremely important difference between every conspiracy theory to come down the pike in the history of our nation and the missing documents and paper birth certificate of Barack Obama is singular, simple and glaringly obvious, yet it is overlooked by almost everyone.

What actual notarized, signed, officiated and certified documents exist on bigfoot, vampires, the extra shooter in Dallas, little green men, UFOs, Amelia Earhart, the bogey man, J.D. Cooper? The answer of course is – none.

How many birth records, school records and early records of childhood exist on Barack Obama? The answer here is obvious – all of them.

It takes no great power of deductive reasoning to see that the one difference between the birther’s assertions and all other theories now known is that documents for this great question do exist; the only difference is that they are blocked from public scrutiny.

The bottom line is nothing can be called a conspiracy, a theory, the truth or a complete lie until documents that do exist are seen by the eyes of anyone who needs to see them. All the hemming and hawing is so much noise without the available facts being seen, opened to the public and then acted upon. All forensics, law and common sense hinges on this fundamental principle. It is so embarrassingly rudimentary that it is almost painful to add this simple example.

Exactly who is driving your family car?

If after taking your teen to the DMV to get his or her first driver’s license you refuse to produce the required documents such as proof of residence, certificate of birth et al; what should you do next? Would you ask your teen to invite all his friends and a few relatives to the DMV and stand around calling the DMV workers, nuts, conspiracy theorists, crazies and whatever else came to mind.

Finally would you expect your teen to be granted a license to drive? Here is the saddest conclusion. Mr. Obama was given a license and is now driving your car, the car you call the United States of America.

Rick Santorum Accuses Drudge Report Of Being A Mitt Romney Cheerleader

Rick Santorum524712 Rick Santorum accuses Drudge Report of being a Mitt Romney cheerleader

Rick Santorum, who has previously grumbled that Ron Paul was acting as a wing man for Mitt Romney, has now complained that the Drudge Report is backing the former Massachusetts governor.

In an interview with Bill Cunningham of 700AM WLW out of Cincinnati, Santorum was asked whether he had hung up on Scott Sloan, another of the station’s hosts, on Thursday. “It’s on The Drudge Report that you hung up on Scott Sloan,” Cunningham said.

Santorum responded: “That’s baloney. I was driving and we lost the call and I called him back two minutes later and we finished the conversation. Drudge, again showing for Romney, gets the facts wrong.”

Sloan later said that it was a “bald face lie” that Santorum called him back.

Allegations that Matt Drudge’s eponymous website is sweet on Romney have been around for months and have gained traction since voting in the GOP race began on January 3rd. Certainly, the proponderance of stories that are favourable towards Romney has been striking at times, as detailed by the Huffington Post’s Sam Stein here.

Group Forces Congressional Hearing On Big Sis’ Twitter, Drudge Spying

image48463 300x225 Group Forces Congressional Hearing On Big Sis’ Twitter, Drudge Spying

A privacy advocacy group has swayed Congress to hold a hearing next week into the Department of Homeland Security’s practice of monitoring social networks such as Twitter and Facebook as well as media reports and organizations, including The Drudge Report.

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) recently obtained close to 300 pages of documents, as a result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, detailing the federal agency’s “intelligence gathering” practices on the web.

Among the documents were guidelines from DHS instructing outside contractors to monitor the web for media reports and comments that “reflect adversely” on the agency or the federal government.

As Reuters reported last month, in early 2010 contractors were asked to spend 24 hours monitoring news media coverage on popular websites, including Facebook, Twitter, Hulu, WikiLeaks, as well as news sites including the Huffington Post and The Drudge Report.

The contractors were required to provide the DHS with feedback on any potential “threats and hazards”, as well as “any media reports that reflect adversely on the U.S. Government and the Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S.) ability to prevent, protect and respond, to recovery efforts or activities related to any crisis or events which impact National Planning Scenarios.”

Media’s Coverage Of Eligibility Hearings

Mainstream Media Medias Coverage of Eligibility Hearings

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our loyal readers here at Western Journalism. It should be noted that I actually only started working here a few weeks ago; I am responsible for proofreading, posting, and (occasionally) writing our content. Over the past two days, due to our thorough coverage of Obama’s eligibility proceedings in Atlanta, we had so many people come on our website at the same time that our servers were practically shut down! The past two days have turned out to be all-time highs in terms of daily page views of the WCJ website. Typically, for us, it is around 20,000 views per day. However, we got more than 35,000 page views on Thursday, and more than 38,000 yesterday. The commentary  about the proceedings (the first I wrote) has received more than 22,000 views since I posted it Thursday afternoon, as well as more than 60 comments. I personally believe that this is God’s way of letting me know that everything is going to be fine working here at Western Journalism. God be praised!

Now, it is important to talk about the media’s coverage not just about Obama and his attorney saying they would not attend the hearings but about what actually was brought up at them. A quick  Google search of the term “Obama Eligibility chellenges” followed by selection the category of “news” would show that (shocker) none of the major networks, The New York Times, The Washington Post, or the rest of the lamestream media must have had more important matters to discuss (such as the rather childish nature of the race for the Republican nomination and Hollywood celebrities). Only the AP seemed to have a brief mention of Obama saying he will skip the proceedings to campaign, the thing he seems to be better at than, let’s say, governing.

In fact, almost all of the coverage of the Atlanta court case was from one of the following types of online media sources: “birther” websites, several conservative blogs such as the American Thinker and Sonoran News, and local print and televised coverage from sources like The Atlanta Journal Constitution. However, there were some noteworthy exceptions: The Huffington Post ran a story dismissing the proceedings as “without effect”, and there were a few articles on foreign news websites such as Press TV(based in Tehran of all places) mentioning that Obama was ignoring the hearings.

Now, before the hearing on Thursday, I personally stayed away from the question of Obama’s eligibility to be president. I at first saw it as something that should take a back seat to other issues, such as preventing Obama from achieving any further legislative victories. However, it is clear that  every single American who has questioned this subject has been vindicated; because of the failure of Obama or his attorney to show up at the hearing and product the required documentation that he supposedly has, one really cannot say that he has nothing to hide. It is now clear to me beyond a reasonable doubt, that Obama is not constitutionally eligible to be our president.

It is also not just the eligibility issue that is important here; one important thing to take away from his absence from the proceedings is that he clearly thinks he is above the law and thinks of himself as some sort of king or dictator. For a guy who essentially campaigned on being a president of and for the “regular” people, he seems to have forgotten entirely what is expected of him. I mean, how many “regular” people do you know who are summoned to court via subpoena who then flat out ignore said subpoena and somehow are not arrested, fined, or put in jail for flaunting this legal obligation?

And it is not that surprising that even the slightest mention of these proceedings would be heard in much of the mainstream liberal media. This is for good reason; they obviously want to protect their guy Obama. These guys will do ANYTHING for their Annointed One; for all I know, they would jump off of a cliff for him if he asked them too. When his administration’s lackeys vocally attacked Fox News in 2009, viewership of Fox News did not go down; instead, it skyrocketed. Likewise, if the media tries to attack Orly Taitz, these witnesses, or anyone else associated with these proceedings, the so-called “birther” movement (and in general the ranks of those who believe Obama is not a legitimate president) will only get stronger from here.

Thank you all again for your loyal following of Western Journalism. God bless you all, and may God continue to bless these United States of America.

Shocked That Obama Rejected Keystone XL Pipeline?

CaptainRenault Shocked That Obama Rejected Keystone XL Pipeline?

We’re about as shocked at Obama’s anti-energy decision as Claude Rains was in feigning surprise that Rick’s cafe in “Casablanca” permitted gambling on the premises. Remember the scene: Captain Renault exclaims “I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!” – and then collects his winnings from gambling.

The rejection of jobs and an energy source from an ally was expected from a president who is determined to shut down all sources of energy in North America.

After all, he has to cater to his radical environmentalist base. He needs their support for the upcoming presidential election. He would prefer that America remain dependent on Islamic oil or oil from southern hemisphere dictators.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) President Jack Gerard reacted to his decision:

Well, it’s very unfortunate to the American people that this decision was made today. The president has abdicated his leadership role in trying to create jobs in this country. The president has repeatedly said he’s for job creation and today he rejected the largest shovel-ready project in the United States today. He can’t be serious about job creation if he takes the largest project that would create jobs and put it on the back burner and say, well, we’re not going to do this today. We’re very disappointed by this decision and I believe it will have political consequence.

Donald Trump was clearly disgusted by Obama’s rejection of the shovel-ready jobs project, but he pointed out that if America had a sound energy policy, we wouldn’t even need Canadian oil. We have enough of our own.

Wall Street Journal columnist James Taranto notes:

Congress’s aim was to force Obama either to approve the pipeline or take the blame for rejecting it. He has managed to do neither, and the Hill reported yesterday that Republican lawmakers, anticipating a rejection or a punt, have been exploring options to force approval of the pipeline. But such a measure would be “highly unlikely to clear the Senate.” Thus it appears the president has escaped the trap the Republicans laid for him.

The left, of course, is giddy over Obama’s clever rejection of the pipeline project. The Huffington Post gloated:

President Barack Obama’s decision Wednesday to deny a permit for the Keystone XL pipeline gave environmental advocates the rarest of sensations: the feeling of victory.

After being left dejected when the administration scrapped smog regulations, dusted off nuclear power, and allowed expanded drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, Wednesday’s Keystone decision allowed green groups to exult.

“I think this is the high water mark of the president’s relationship with the environmental community,” environmentalist Bill McKibben, a leader against the pipeline, said Wednesday evening. “The knock on the guy was that he was too conciliatory, and in this case, he stood down a bold political threat.”

Obama, in affirming his State Department’s recommendation to reject the pipeline, emphasized his decision does not preclude applications for similar projects. Cynics speculate the president will approve a minimally altered version of the pipeline after November’s election. For now, though, McKibben said environmentalists are feeling optimistic.

In short, American energy independence and job creation have, once again, been rejected by Obama in order to shore up radical environmentalist support for his upcoming election. The President of the United States consistently proves that he puts America last when it comes to energy, national security, and economic recovery. He prefers to keep his extremist tree-hugging buddies happy – regardless of the suffering he is bringing on the rest of us. We’re not surprised.

Is Big Sis Reading Your FaceBook Page?

government Is Big Sis Reading Your FaceBook Page?
The Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security is monitoring numerous media outlets — and new guidelines open the possibility that the DHS will spy on private citizens’ Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace pages and retain personal information in its database for up to five years.

The “Social Networking/Media Capability” program is conducted by the DHS’s National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative and the Office of Operations Coordination and Planning (OPS). Media accounts trace its emergence to the summer of 2010. The media have revealed this program monitors five pages of websites. In addition to the social media sites listed above, Big Sis is monitoring the Drudge Report, The Huffington Post, ABC’s “The Blotter,” New York Times The Lede, YouTube, Hulu, and Flickr — and many, many others.

The Department of Homeland Security has visited this website numerous times.

The program purports to collect massive quantities of data from a variety of webpages to help it respond to emergencies such as natural disasters.

Reuters reports that the DHS program also monitors “blogs related to news and activity along U.S. borders (DHS runs border and immigration agencies).”

Agents are also authorized to find and maintain the personal identifiable information (PII) on a “discrete category of individuals,” according to its report. However, its criteria are so broad as to allow virtually anyone to be targeted.

Although its guidelines restrict obtaining PII to individuals such as government agents or reporters, they also allow data collection on all those “known or identified as reporters in their post or article and who use traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

Potentially, if someone who maintains a blog were to post a Facebook message saying, “All is well after the windstorm,” the DHS could collect and store his or her personal information for up to five years.

RT.com, which first broke the story, explains:

According to the Department of Homeland Security’s own definition of personal identifiable information, or PII, such data could consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.” Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency.

The DHS report notes no fewer than 12 reports “inadvertently included unnecessary PII or potential PII.” Luckily, its own server “resides on a secure, firewalled, isolated private network that does not allow inbound access or connection.”

RT adds in a chilling note, “the data is being shared with both private sector businesses and international third parties.” Indeed, the DHA report adds the program “will share Media Monitoring Reports (MMRs) with Departmental and component leadership, private sector, and international partners where necessary, appropriate and authorized by law.”

In an administration obsessed with monitoring pro-life “terrorists”, anyone who has more than seven days of food in his home, anyone who said anything “fishy” about ObamaCare, collecting Republican e-mail addresses, and “cognitively infiltrating” its opponents’ ranks, this development raises red flags. Who is being watched? Who receives personal information? Is this likely to remain safe?

What do you think?

Obama Czar Proposed Government Should ‘Infiltrate’ Social Network Sites, Chat Rooms, Message Boards.

Sunstein1184 300x156 Obama czar proposed government should ‘Infiltrate’ social network sites, chat rooms, message boards.

Just prior to his appointment as President Obama’s so-called regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wrote a lengthy academic paper suggesting the government should “infiltrate” social network websites, chat rooms and message boards.

Such “cognitive infiltration,” Sunstein argued, should be used to enforce a U.S. government ban on “conspiracy theorizing.”

Among the beliefs Sunstein classified as a “conspiracy theory” is advocating that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud.

The find comes as a government document reportedly relates the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s command center routinely monitors dozens of popular websites, including Facebook, Twitter, Hulu, WikiLeaks and news sites including the Huffington Post and Drudge Report.

Reuters reported that a “privacy compliance review” issued by DHS last November confirms that since at least June 2010, the department’s national operations center has been operating a “Social Networking/Media Capability” which involves regular monitoring of “publicly available online forums, blogs, public websites and message boards.”
