How About Some Hate Control Before More Gun Control?

Nancy Pelosi SC How About Some Hate Control Before More Gun Control?

As most informed people know, there was a tragic and senseless school shooting incident in Newtown, Connecticut last month that left defenseless children and adults killed by an obviously deranged young man. It is inconceivable to most people how a young man can go so astray that he murders random people for no obvious reason.

As a result, certain elements of the political class in Washington have taken advantage of this tragedy to advance their own personal agendas relative to gun control, with the idea that controlling or eliminating gun possession by all of us would have somehow prevented the Newtown tragedy.

Rather than trying to understand the root causes of such abhorrent behavior, these politicians simplistically look at the “what” of the situation (guns were used to kill) rather than the “why” of the situation (what causes such behavior.) By not understanding the root causes, the chance of resolving the problem is next to nothing.

Maybe there are other causes of such behavior, not simply gun possession. Rather than more draconian gun control rules and laws, we should do a little “hate control” before we recklessly and senselessly go off on a gun control tangent, a tangent that will likely increase crime and gun play, not reduce it and shred the Second Amendment in the process.

Let’s be honest; there is a lot of hate and venom circulating in our country today. Much of it is fomented by the political class as they try to incite their supporters and degrade their opponents in the most dehumanizing ways possible.

The more we dehumanize others, the easier it is to see them as less worthy of their opinion and their life. Maybe if we started respecting each other a little more and taking some of the hate and venom out of our politics, thought processes, and speech, incidents like the shootings in Newtown, in south Chicago, in the ghettos of Detroit, etc. might become a little less frequent if we respected each other a little more.

This increase in respect and humanizing of other human beings should start with our so-called leaders, However, these so-called leaders are a big cause of the problem, not the solution. They have had a busy and disgraceful past couple of years degrading and abusing the opinions, lives, and very existence of the citizens they are supposed to be serving:

  • Democrat Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi called citizen opponents to ObamaCare unpatriotic for simply having a difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington.
  • Democrat Charles Rangel slandered millions of Americans who opposed ObamaCare by calling them racists for simply having an honest difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington.
  • Democrat Shelia Jordan Lee slandered Americans who opposed ObamaCare by associating them with the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Union boss and Democratic supporter Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stated that his union was at war with the Republicans and Tea Party citizens and that these people “need to be taken out.”
  • Democratic Congressmen Mike Doyle and Henry Waxman and Vice President Joe Biden slandered American citizens opposed to unfettered and destructive government spending and debt by calling them terrorists (those people who bomb and kill innocent civilians).
  • When ordinary Americans objected to the building of a Islamic mosque near the World Trade Center property because of the sad memories of 9-11, Democrat Nancy Pelosi said THEY should be investigated for simply having a passionate opinion on the mosque.
  • Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said all Tea Party American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her.

When you viciously and unfoundedly associate ordinary citizens with racism, call them terrorists, question their patriotism, wish they would go to hell, and then threaten to take them out/exterminate them, you have dehumanized them in the eyes of your political supporters, making it easy to imagine them actually going away permanently.

Maybe this type of hate, venom, and dehumanizing goes through the head of a young man when he decides to go off and actually follows the advice that those people “need to be taken out.” When your so-called leaders call for this type of behavior and language, it can’t be wrong, can it?

But our political class and their direct supporters also direct their hate and venomous words towards other politicians:

  • The campaign manager of Democrat Jerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign called his Republican opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore.
  • White House czar Van Jones publicly called all Republicans a**h****s.
  • Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle-dragging Neanderthals.
  • TV host Montel Williams publicly hoped that Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachman would commit suicide by decapitating herself.
  • Ed Schultz, an on-air commentator for the Democratic-leaning MSNBC news channel, called Laura Ingraham of Fox News a slut.
  • HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC, said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black.”
  • Bill Maher also called Palin a disgusting and derogatory name that I will not repeat here.
  • Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped.
  • Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen likened Republican critics of Obamacare to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.
  • A rap artist gave a Minnesota concert that was billed as the “F*** Michelle Bachman” concert (spelling out the entire f-word).
  • A Democratic operative insulted Ann Romney (and millions of other American women) by slandering and demeaning her as a stay-at-home mother.
  • Martin Bashier of MSNBC News showed a video of Mitt Romney’s campaign bus that was interspersed with video clips of buses blowing up in balls of fire, explicitly wishing that the Romney bus also blow up and that those inside die a fiery death.

When you label others as “sluts” and “whores” and suggest they should be raped or be killed, either by themselves or a fiery bus explosion, you set another stage for dehumanization. If you political opponents are just “sluts” and “whores”, no big deal if they go away, right?

This type of disgusting, hateful behavior is an influence in our society and not an influence for good. It infects the undertone of how we view others. It reduces the amount of respect we have for others, making it easier to abuse others, possibly violently.

It usually does not cause someone to go off and actually start killing others, but it certainly cannot help. It also cuts short the ability to listen to each other and appreciate the diversity of opinion each brings to a potential solution of a problem.

If I have allowed the political class and their ardent supporters to frame you as a racist or a slut or a terrorist, I am unlikely to consider any good you can bring to my life or to a solution of a problem. If I think it is a good thing that you self-decapitate or die in a bus explosion, you will probably not get my attention when it comes to working towards a better society.

As a result of this hateful divisiveness the political class has driven into our society, we despise others who have opinions different from ours. Major issues, such as failing public schools, a lost war on drugs, skyrocketing national debt, high health care costs, illegal immigration, etc. never get resolved. The hate prevents us from listening to each other and calibrating our view of the world with others’ views of the world.

And possibly in the case of Newtown, we go beyond not listening, and we start shooting. Not because guns are legal, but because we have allowed the political class to desensitize us to each other as human beings.

But it is not only politicians who spew the hate and venom, hate and venom that others take to heart, hate and venom that their children take and internalize. Consider just some recent examples that have appeared in the news:

- Consider the hateful speech and intentions of Professor Richard Parncutt of the University of Graz regarding other human beings who are global warming deniers, those daring to have a different opinion than his: “In this article I am going to suggest that the death penalty is an appropriate punishment for influential GW [global warming] deniers… They [global warming deniers] are already causing the deaths of hundreds of millions of future people. We could be speaking of billions, but I am making a conservative estimate… With high probability it will cause hundreds of millions of deaths. For this reason I propose that the death penalty is appropriate for influential GW deniers.”

Different opinion; therefore, you should die. If you have a different opinion than Professor Parncutt, he deigns that you do not deserve to live.

- Pulitzer nominated newspaper columnist Donald Kaul recently wrote an article for the Des Moines Register where he called for the killing of gun owners and “dragging legislators who disagree with gun control behind pickup trucks until they get the message.” Don’t agree with my opinion? Thus, we should have more killing and more torture for those who dare to have a difference of opinion. How does this stop the cycle of hate that starts with the political class?

- Erik Loomis, PhD, assistant professor of history at the University of Rhode Island, decided he needed to get into the hate and venom game also when he recently stated on Twitter that he wanted the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization””[I] want Wayne LaPierre’s head on a stick.” A little hateful, a little violent?

- Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union, recently had some violent rhetoric of her own to share: “Do not think for a minute that the wealthy are ever going to allow you to legislate their riches away from them. Please understand that. However, we are in a moment where the wealth disparity in this country is very reminiscent of the robber baron ages. The labor leaders of that time, though, were ready to kill. They were. They were just – off with their heads. They were seriously talking about that.”

And this person is associated with educating young minds and kids. Don’t like someone or are jealous of their wealth (that in all probability was garnered via hard work and sweat? Then just off with their heads.

You cannot have such hate and disrespect and venomous speech floating around and not have a negative impact on how we treat each other, how it dehumanizes others. You cannot say the Newtown shooting was directly caused because of this poisonous environment, but it certainly did not help. Was the shooter seated around his dinner table through the years when slurs and demeaning things were said about others, how others different from him were worthy of being “taken out“?

And it certainly does not allow us to sit down and go face-to-face with others to leverage everyone’s knowledge and skills to confront all of our problems from school shootings to high debt, high illiteracy levels, failing public education, a failing health care system, etc.

But if we solved all of our problems, on what issues would our politicians run on? And that, my friends, is the root cause of most of our problems from school shootings to the lack of a national energy problem; our shameless politicians need the hate and venom to frame and finance their continual reelection effort.

So tonight, when you are sitting around the table with your family, how about a little more hate control and a lot more respect for others in front of our kids? Again, it couldn’t hurt.

And when you come across such people in life, those who want others to die simply because they have a different opinion, walk away. These people are part of the problem; do not join them in spreading their venom and hatred. There is an old saying that goes as follows: “Never mud wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.” Stay clean, reduce the hatred, and maybe save the Second Amendment in the process.

Prophecy Has No Entertainment Value, But Piers Morgan Does

Piers Morgan SC Prophecy Has No Entertainment Value, but Piers Morgan Does

During an interview with mega-pastor Rick Warren on CNN, host Piers Morgan exclaimed that the Bible and the U.S. Constitution are ‘inherently flawed.’ Perhaps Morgan, like many liberals of the day, are tired of being told that it is they, along with the rest of humanity, which are inherently flawed with something the bible calls the sin nature. (Romans 3: 23)

No one escapes this moral malady, but many today would like to have it all be explained away by scientists, apostate ministers and priests and every yellow journalist that jubilantly justifies their jaundiced junk jibe through the media, and the internet. But according to the bible, the message will not go away until the very return of the Lord Jesus Christ in victory.

After adopting swelling titles and tagging their names with letters, the scientist, who can neither prove or disprove the existence of God, have broken out to become the high priests and ultimate authorities of all things.

God cannot fit into the three pound mass of gray matter that resides atop their shoulders, but they presume to gather all the secrets of the universe in this receptacle and proceed to divulge such things as the origin of species, the big bang theory and the ever expanding universe. With or without being able to prove their own conclusions they have authorized themselves quite beyond the doubting or disputations of the dumbed down minions, proselytes and victims of the Dewey system of modern education they haply lead.

It is unlikely that those who presume to tell us what happened eight billion years ago will have any idea when the prophesied arrival of the antichrist, that final world ruler empowered by the god of this world, will come on the scene. Most scientist of the day, have no idea what the last election in America really means, the future is a mythical mist in which man pulls himself up to the stars by shear technological genius, at the same time never once noting their ever descending trek into all that is perverted, wicked and Godless is far outpacing their technological advances.

Forget the idea that politics and religion don’t mix, politics can’t even get the attention of the scientist unless it is some fake farcical pseudo-scientific cause like the dangers of global warming. Some say were going toward a big freeze while others insist were about to get toasted.

Will a scientist warn the world that the moral deprivation of a nation or the world has heated up to the point of ignition? Don’t hold your breath, just go out and hug a tree, praise a wind generator or plug in your Chevy Volt while a generation with a head full of stars, goes to hell in a hand basket.

It is here where we see just why God chose prophets, preachers and his own kind of messengers to make such proclamations. It is also at this point that we are forced to reiterate the fact that God does not ask his messengers to prove anything; he has already proven it in the life, ministry, death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ. All his messengers are told to do is, proclaim it. (Mt 28: 18f)

Jesus Christ has clearly shown mankind not only who he is, but that he loves mankind. Conversely the god of this world (Satan) has chosen to remain clandestine and unknown; it is the secret of his power to have mankind ignorant of his ways and his very existence. What is no secret is that he has no love for mankind, but he knows he is already judged and seeks to take as many unsuspecting men and women with him to his final destination.

The opposite picture is painted by Christ who wants his own to know of his existence and what he plans for us in the future. It is not stupidity, but the sin nature, wickedness and that old pillar called self that keeps man in darkness, Satan would not have it any other way. Christ said “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” (Jn 15: 15)

It is not the absence of a thousand points of light that brings man down, but the presence of two points of darkness. One is to be ignorant or unbelieving to the gospel of Christ which is God’s sole way of redeeming the souls of men. The other, especially in this late hour of time, is ignorance of the voluminous warnings of that part of scripture we call prophecy.

The promised return of the Lord Jesus Christ to bring judgment to the earth is no hidden doctrine, but is replete with signs, and pictures of a generation that will have reached its peak in wholesale worldwide apostasy and full blown sinfulness throughout the world. The apostate church will be seeking its ‘best life now’ and the world will be into its worst behaviors yet, all at the same time life will become cheap, love will be lost and faith in the God who created everything will be at an all-time low.

Making fun of such prophetic warnings has begun, but it is no surprise, it is itself, part of the prophecies. In reality prophecy has no entertainment value at all. There is nothing funny, amusing or attractive about it. Mocking prophecy is not new.

Ancients laughed at Noah as he dragged giant planks of gopher wood into the desert to build an ark. The newly delivered band of Israelites who escaped the oppression of Egypt wasted no time and began to dance and party in the long absence of Moses who was busy talking with God on Mt. Sinai. Big traditional celebrations accompanied the Jewish calendar with attendance from proselytes from around the world. As these times of mirth and celebration were going on, God’s prophets were stoned, jailed, thrown in mud pits and slain because they were warning that the temple and the temple system together could not substitute for being holy and dedicated to God.

King Solomon, who declared that there was no new thing under the sun must have contemplated the nature of fallen man and in some way he saw that even in the future, men would mock the prophetic, even as they partied themselves into a collective stupor. In 70 AD the party abruptly ended, and there has been no temple or partying since. Something far more serious than the events of 70 AD is nearing the history of mankind today.

Peter commenting on man’s persistence in making merry while dismissing the prophetic said, “That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2 Peter 2: 2-4)

It may seem entertaining to hear Piers Morgan attempting to void God’s word and the constitution in this day where nothing is sacred. It might almost seem funny to hear the gays have yanked every verse of the bible about the sin of homosexuality and produced their own, ‘Queen James” version, but there is nothing at all even remotely humorous in this warning. To wit:

“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (Rev 11: 18)

Prophetic warnings may seem weakened because of a few foolish ministers who decide to name dates against the warning of Christ who said no man will know the exact day or hour of his return. Likewise the passing of the new millennium or the much touted Mayan calendar may embolden the scoffers, but the prophetic remains on course. Not even Piers Morgan can do much about that.

Journalist Megan McArdle of the Daily Beast doesn’t think Morgan is funny at all. In a scathing article entitled, ‘Should Piers Morgan Be Deported?’ Dec 27, 2012 she said, “I mean, yes, it is a little bit funny to picture the President explaining why we’re not going to deport Piers Morgan: you can imagine the scene appearing in a dark comedy. But then it stops being funny because America is not supposed to be dark comedy; it’s our actual country.”

Along the same lines, as it pertains to the evil spirit that troubles this world, Satan, his minions and all those who follow him will one day be deported directly to hell. In the interim, all the evil and perversion that is done here is not funny because, after all, this is our actual world!

How Much Money Has Obama Committed To Fighting “Global Warming”?

Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma has an important message for global warming skeptics…

A Word From The President

Barack Obama speech hand 2 SC A Word from the President

My fellow Americans,

It’s been a few days since my resounding reelection victory, and Michelle reminded me to thank those who helped me receive another four years serving the American people from the Oval Office. The list is quite long, so I will attempt to hit the high points.

First and foremost, I owe a deep debt of gratitude to George W. Bush for providing me with political cover for virtually every situation as well as our fiscal crisis which, according to Bill Clinton “not even he could have fixed in 4 years”. I shall continue to seek places to promote the work of the Bush administration whenever the need arises.

Next, I need to acknowledge two men who proved invaluable to me over the course of the last four years. First, my hat goes off to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. His marvelous work with TARP, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (stimulus), as well as Quantitative Easing I, II, and III allowed me to spend as much money as I thought necessary to get our economy roaring back at 2%. Thanks to him, we have managed to rework perceptions about debt and deficits as well as completely rewrite the (Chinese) book on currency manipulation. Secondly, thank you to Chief Justice John Roberts for his full-throated and unexpected support of Obamacare, which allowed me to take a major step toward transforming our society.

Truth be told, I would not be writing to you today as a two-term president without the loyal and generous help of our mainstream media. Two special shout-outs go to the ‘Old Gray Lady’ and CNN’s Candy Crowley. First, the New York Times really pitched in with that wonderfully intuitive Op-Ed headline which they assigned to the Romney piece on the Detroit car industry bankruptcy. Secondly, one cannot forget Ms. Crowley’s masterful work as a debate moderator when she got me out of that messy ’terrorism misunderstanding’ with Governor Romney. I am sure that CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and 60 Minutes will devote all their investigative efforts to get to the bottom of that ‘bump in the road’ down in Benghazi now that they have allowed the election to pass without that needless distraction.

I must say a few words about my new Republican friend, Governor Chris Christie. He was so gracious to escort me and the press corps around storm-ravaged New Jersey while allowing me to add my presidential horsepower. The public response to that one trip to the Jersey shore just a week before the election left such a great visual impression for those who think Democrats and Republicans can’t get anything done. I doubt I will ever be able to repay him fully; however, I remain confident he will put to good use the $100,000,000 check I gave his state.

I also want to thank the 65% of Americans who agree with me that not only the top 1% of wage earners pay their fair share, but anyone making more than $250,000 should join in as well. In my second term I will work tirelessly to ensure that more of their earnings are taxed more fairly so that benefits can be redistributed to anyone below the ‘$250,000/millionaire category’ who needs a helping hand. Only in this way can we continue to fine-tune capitalism through Progressive revenue gains in order assure a level playing field for everyone.

Much is made of the power of incumbency when it comes to getting reelected; however, nothing has been more beneficial to me and my party than the tireless efforts of our public high school teachers and college professors. The 18-30 year old demographic that I have so dearly counted on during my two presidential campaigns never strayed from my side. Our education system continues to do yeoman’s work in keeping young minds focused on our nation’s pressing issues: global warming, contraception, religion’s infringement on our society, English as a second language, economic class distinction, et al. The education these young minds continue to receive in our schools has allowed me to connect with them in a unique, non-analytical way that befits our new culture unlike those few students attending our remaining outlier schools who continue to dwell on old world curricula of critical thinking exercises, American and European history, economics, math, sciences, engineering, political theory, and general US civics.

As I enter my second term as President of the United States, I have become refocused and am now ready to work with Republicans on fixing our problems. As I told my friend, Dmitri Medvedev, “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” No doubt Speaker Boehner and Republican House members look forward to working with me under these new rules.

Sincerely, BO

Environmental Activists Tell Obama, Climate Change First In Your Second Term

Barack Obama 8 SC Environmental Activists Tell Obama, Climate Change First in Your Second Term

(CNSNews.com) – Environmental Defense Fund President Fred Krupp, in congratulating President Obama on his re-election, said he expects the president and the 113th Congress to make “global climate change” a top priority:

“We look forward to working with them to solve our country’s most pressing environmental problems, including global climate change. As the President declared last night, ‘We want our children to live in an America … that isn’t threatened by the destructive power of a warming planet.’”

Krupp said exit polls show that “for millions of American voters,” Hurricane Sandy and climate change “were decisive factors in this election.”

“As the historic storm just reminded us, we have no time to waste; we must get serious about climate solutions in order to protect our loved ones and communities from terrible impacts — extreme weather disasters, droughts, heat waves, and other dangerous consequences of global warming. Especially in the wake of Sandy, which demonstrated that doing nothing about climate change is much costlier than taking action, this issue clearly should be a top priority for our leaders in government.”

“Climate change” was one of the reasons liberal New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave when he endorsed President Obama last week:

“Our climate is changing,” Bloomberg wrote at Bloomberg.com. “And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not be the result of it, the risk that it might be — given this week’s devastation — should compel all elected leaders to take immediate action.”

Global Warming Stopped 16 Years Ago, Reveals Met Office Report Quietly Released… And Here Is The Chart To Prove It

Earth SC Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it

The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week.

The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.

This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.

Global Warming Advocates Argue More Ice Means Climate Change

Man Made Global Warming Denier SC Global Warming Advocates Argue More Ice Means Climate Change

WASHINGTON – In a depressed economic recovery, scientists continue to harp on the idea that global warming is an important problem that needs addressing. The extensive funding and programs they seek most likely will go unnoticed and unfunded until the economies of the world recover.

In Antarctica, increasing expanses of ice actually can hint at global warming effects, say scientists. In reverse logic, scientists contest that the South Pole has been gaining water and more ice as the North Pole loses both. The biggest loss of Arctic sea ice on record was followed by a record 7.51 million square miles of Antarctic sea ice. This is Antarctica, the polar opposite of the Arctic.

Are Electric Cars Bad For The Environment?

Electric Car SC Are Electric Cars Bad For The Environment?

A study by engineers based at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology has questioned some common assumptions about the environmental credentials of electric cars.

Published this week in the Journal of Industrial Ecology, the “comparative environmental life cycle assessment of conventional and electric vehicles” begins by stating that “it is important to address concerns of problem-shifting”. By this, the authors mean that by solving one problem, do electric cars create another? And, if so, does this environmental harm then outweigh any advantages?

The study highlights in particular the “toxicity” of the electric car’s manufacturing process compared to conventional petrol/diesel cars. It concludes that the “global warming potential” of the process used to make electric cars is twice that of conventional cars.

The study also says – as has been noted many times before – that electric cars do not make sense if the electricity they consume is produced predominately by coal-fired power stations. “It is counterproductive to promote [electric vehicles] EVs in regions where electricity is produced from oil, coal, and lignite combustion,” it concludes.

EPA Threatens Foundation Of U.S. Economy

EPA logo SC EPA Threatens Foundation of U.S. Economy

As the EPA creates thousands of pages of highly questionable new rules on CO2 emissions, they are rapidly becoming the high priesthood over our economy and the lives of every man, woman and child in America.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seems to be on a drunken binge to impose increasingly economy-killing regulations to reduce CO2 emissions. These new regulations are based on flimsy pseudoscience and what amounts to religious tenants of faith that humans are destroying mother earth. Nonetheless, the EPA claims that current air and water emissions endanger human health. The most ridiculous of these assertions is carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

CO2 Emissions and Global Warming

Nearly a half of the U.S. electricity production is from coal and another 23 percent from natural gas. Only 2 percent comes from wind and solar.

The United States (U.S) currently produces nearly 70 percent of its electricity from coal and natural gas; both of which emit millions of tons of CO2. Because of their near-religious belief that this is causing global warming, relentless relentless environmental pseudoscience has convinced President Obama that this perceived warming will destroy the earth. Obama has therefore committed the U.S. to drastically reduce CO2 emissions by converting to green alternative energy, which currently only produces 4 percent of our electricity, even though it will “cause energy prices to necessarily skyrocket.”

Economy-wrecking cap and trade legislation has been introduced in Congress over the years to force the U.S. to go to green energy. Although Americans rejected all of these efforts, President Obama had a backup plan; have the EPA create regulations without Congressional approval that would cut just as much CO2 emissions.
