Jonathan Turley, a noted liberal Georgetown University law professor who represented members of Congress in a lawsuit over the Libyan war, represented workers at the secret Area 51 military base, and served as counsel on national security cases, says Barack Obama is a danger to the U.S. Constitution.
What in the H E double hockey sticks is the matter with you people!?
Do you think being involved in public policy and elections and all that earthy stuff is somehow antithetical to the spirit walk? I’m glad Jesus cared enough about earthy stuff to come here and save our sorry tails. Didn’t he say something about taking care of the weak and defenseless and being salt and light in the world?
People get so heavenly minded that they’re no earthly good, as the old saying goes. What is it, folks? Are you too busy stuffing your faces and watching television? Maybe video games have you so hypnotized you can’t leave the house? Porn addiction?
Do you really think your spiritual duty is fulfilled by going to church once a week and dropping a fiver in the plate?
Most people in this world don’t have enough to eat. They live under tyrannical regimes. THey suffer tremendous violence, disease, and injury. Most people would give their right arm to live free, enjoy prosperity, and be removed from harm for the most part. Most people in the world would give the world to live here, and they would consider it a great privilege to vote in order to preserve the blessings of liberty!
Most of us, however, take it all for granted; and too many of us sit around on our big fat blessed assurance and do nothing. Too many of us can’t even be bothered to simply register, study up on the candidates, and vote!
Do you realize that 17 million evangelicals failed to vote in 2008?! A similar situation was repeated in 2012! Slothful, disengaged evangelicals put Barack Obama in the White House! He is destroying our country and enslaving our children and grandchildren. He is destroying the Constitution, and with it, liberty.
Barack Obama was elected twice because too many Christians ignored their sacred citizenship duties. “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” There is no such thing as separating Christian and citizenship responsibilities. How can you be salt and light when you remain sequestered and silent?
We murder 3,300 babies in the womb every day in this country. That’s one every 25 seconds. Since 1973, we have slaughtered more than 56 million babies in the womb; and 99% of the time, the only reason for it was that those babies were ruled inconvenient–unwanted because they interfered with somebody’s career, mere sacrifices on the altar of lust and personal preference.
Until we start taking our founding principles seriously, let’s stop calling ourselves Americans. When we can sit by and watch millions of babies being dismembered with barely a twinge of conscience, it’s a lie to say we believe the Declaration when it states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” If an unborn baby, completely innocent, has no right to life, neither does anyone else.
The Scripture you claim to believe clearly condemns this mass murder; yet some of you actually voted for Obama, the most radical pro-abortion public figure ever to disgrace the landscape. Many more of you couldn’t even muster the guts to register and vote against this monster. Yet, you’ll sit at home and talk about how blessed Jesus loves the little children, and isn’t it horrible how other people treat their kids.
Until we actually demonstrate our Love for Christ by believing His word and by obeying His commands, let’s stop calling ourselves Christians because we’re hypocrites. If we don’t even have the courage to vote, how on earth will we demonstrate the conviction to speak up, much less die for our faith? No wonder the world takes a dim view of the church and its people. No wonder the church no longer has any moral authority. Our sloth and cowardice is a reproach. Refusing to take a stand for righteousness is unchristian and unpatriotic, and failing to vote is a disgraceful dereliction of duty to God and man.

As poll after poll shows the protracted decline of Barack Obama’s approval rating, even some of his once-ardent supporters have begun to recognize their error in judgment. As he sheds support from these average Americans, however, his core constituency digs in further in an effort to protect his leftist policies.
For example, New York University professor Jonathan Zimmerman recent penned a Washington Post opinion article in which he advocates for a repeal of the 22nd Amendment. By removing presidential term limits, he marvels at the idea of four more years under Obama’s reign.
Zimmerman began by conceding that the disastrous ObamaCare implementation caused many of Obama’s former allies to retreat, resulting in his “lowest ever” approval ratings. Instead of blaming his unpopularity among Democrats on inept and dishonest leadership, however, Zimmerman blames the 22nd Amendment. In the article, he wonders if Obama would experience such retaliation from his own party if he were able to seek reelection.
“Democrat lawmakers,” he concluded, “would worry about provoking the wrath of a president who could be reelected.”
As it stands, however, these legislators have “got little to fear.”
According to this purported scholar, America’s chief executive exists to coerce others into doing his bidding by means of intimidation rather than persuasion. As a lame duck, Zimmerman noted that Obama in turn has nothing to fear from the voting public.
“And if the people wanted him to serve another term,” he asked, “why shouldn’t they be allowed to award him one?”
While his argument might make sense on the surface, the 22nd Amendment was ratified after overwhelming public sentiment dictated that Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four consecutive inaugurations was a trend that should not continue. Instead, America decided to cement the precedent set by George Washington when he stepped down after eight years in office.
Many have speculated throughout Obama’s presidency that he might seek an inroad to circumvent the 22nd Amendment. While there has yet been no indication of such an intention on his part, individuals like Zimmerman are attempting to do the work for him.
What should be the greatest deterrent against repealing presidential term limits – a third Obama term – is being used as a selling point among his remaining supporters.

After nearly five years in office, President Obama is still playing the role of campaigner, outsider, and critic-from-a-distance – trying to avoid accountability for the disastrous consequences of his own actions as the nation’s Chief Executive. The latest target of his crazy criticism? “Income inequality”…resulting largely from HIS POLICIES.

Flanked by dutiful reporters, Barack Obama exclaimed to the American public on December 3, 2013, that as long he is President, the law (ObamaCare) will not be repealed. Adding defiance to the legacy of lies and lawlessness raises the all-important question – has the authority of the legislative and judicial branches of our government been nullified and concentrated from henceforth in the president? Isn’t that a dictatorship?
Entire websites are engaged in compiling accurate lists of Obama’s lies; but since everything he says is on public record, we already know that it wouldn’t require a forensic expert to prove he has repeatedly lied over the past five years.
His unilateral changes to ObamaCare have now raised a new concern – lawlessness. Could it be that the Harvard law professor does not know that only the legislature can modify laws they have previously passed? Or is it more likely that he just doesn’t care?
The attack on religious organizations and his pronouncement that same sex marriage is perfectly reasonable are summary proof that he acts from a position of license, rather than any commonly known system of morality.
Where is all this heading?
In a recent article on American Prophet.org, one of our contributing writers known only as “Prophecy Dude” said something that has been resonating with many across our nation. In an article entitled “Culture Change: Why is the US Military Getting a Makeover?”, Dude asks the question –
“Did Obama change this nation, or did he tap into a dam of inevitability and unleash what was already there? Is he timely in reflecting the accurate heart for where America was already headed? Which came first, the chicken or the egg?”
As attitudes about morality change, and integrity is substituted for the loose idea of ‘live and let live,’ it is clear that Obama is tapping into the inevitability.
A prime example of what kind of water is in that dam can be seen in the remarks of leftist pundit and CNN columnist L Z Granderson who told audiences that all politicians lie, but Barack Obama’s lies are OK with Americans because we know he has our best interest at heart. Wow!
As the president jacks up the toxicity of the Kool Aid, there will always be those who understand that Obama’s lies are vested in his own interests – not ours. A far more important question is, what are we going to do about it?
Granderson’s philosophy and his mitigation for Barack Obama seem fully entrenched in the black community and among liberals and leftists. But for all those who haven’t, as yet, given up the freedom to think on their own, the idea that good intentions pave the way for gross lying, immorality, and bad legislation is fully unacceptable.
When carried to its furthest extreme, how does such a philosophy play out? Can we rob banks knowing that the end produces a fine cash flow we heretofore were without – thus justifying the means? Can we commit every crime, cheat, and live like animals as long as the end justifies the means?
That complacency gives rise to despots and dictators has long passed from theory to law in the historical record of nations. America is proving to be no exception to the rule. Only when people are jogged or jolted from their sleepy perches do they become interventional if not outright revolutionary.
Even as Obama goes on his twenty-one-day offensive and selling campaign for ObamaCare, about five million Americans have had their health care plans knocked out from under them. Many more are yet to be touched by the obsession of this president. Will that be enough? Will they act?
Senate Republican Mitch McConnell says the ObamaCare legislation is “broken beyond repair”; he also asserts that only a full repeal followed by a new bill can stop the confusion. The answer to McConnell from most of America is probably’ “OK –Let’s get cracking.”
In a scene much like a punching match between two adolescents, we are busy trying to decide who started it. Against overwhelming odds, Congress is squeezed between a liberal Senate and a leftist president as we try to hold off the flood waters of Obama’s broken dam until the 2014 midterm elections, which may bring the Senate back to the right. In the interim, millions are getting the feel for ObamaCare right where it counts – the wallet.
If we can’t knock the flute from the pied piper’s hand, how about a noise to counter his refrains, a deafening noise to drown out the piper’s melody.
If we act now, perhaps we will see the great Obama apology-tour return to where it ought to be – right here at home. We would accept an apology from this president for leading the nation to the place where we are a second-rate power in the world, and for giving our youth the worst example of lawlessness since the days of Al Capone.
The great King Solomon said in his lamentations – “To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.” (La 3: 36) How much approval can Barack Obama win from God or America for subverting an entire nation?

Toronto Mayor Bob Ford is an alcoholic whose addiction is ruining his career (he admits he smoked crack during “one of my drunken stupors.”) But alcohol is not the only thing on which to get drunk.
In the case of Barack Obama, we find a whole administration drunk with power. His attorney general first covers up an arms debacle that costs American lives, then blames a previous president, and finally just stonewalls a congressional committee. His secretary of Health and Human Services tells American citizens she does not work for them. His IRS leadership lies repeatedly about agency persecution of political opponents and the illegal release of confidential materials. And the president himself lies about murder in Benghazi, spying on American citizens, his own involvement in the IRS scandal, and what Obamacare will do to citizens who already have health insurance. If that is not enough, he routinely re-writes legislation such as his signature healthcare law in blatant defiance of the Constitution as cooly as he deliberately misquotes the Gettysburg Address to remove references to God. This president is so drunk with power that when the House of Representatives adopts – legally – a bill doing the same things the president illegally decreed to correct his own insurance cancellation nightmare, he threatens to veto the legislation.
No good thing ever comes from drunkenness, and nothing ever will. But the greatest damage comes from being drunk with power.
Intoxification with power – and the vindictiveness that accompanies it – spreads to lower officials and civilians as well. Recently, fake blood was spattered on peaceful life advocates in Albuquerque, New Mexico by so-called pro-choicers. I say “so-called” because these people have no interest in the freedom to choose in – say – an election. AG Eric Holder has no problem with voter intimidation by gangsters in Philadelphia; at the same time, he accuses legitimate poll watchers of suppressing the vote in that same city, demonstrating his soul brotherhood with the gangsters.
A man was recently arrested for murder after shooting an armed man who broke down his door at 2 AM and charged him. In Washington, D.C., the insurance commissioner was fired by Mayor Vincent Gray for agreeing with a proposal to ask insurance companies to restore cancelled policies; and a low level Obamacare employee named Elaine was fired for answering the questions she is charged with answering when the questioner happened to be talk show host Sean Hannity. Right here in Redding, it turns out our own Mercy Hospital helped write the protocols for Obamacare; I learned this because my radio program was sponsored by Mercy. When I blogged against Obamacare, Mercy summarily dropped my program with that explanation. It is about intimidating – not debating – opponents.
The Bible has a wonderful passage addressed as Ephesians 5:18. It instructs readers not to become drunk with spirits – including the spirit of power – but rather be filled (drunk, if you will) with the Holy Spirit. Becoming intoxicated – filled – with God is how we come to authentic sobriety. Confirmation occurs as people change behavior – and the fruit of it – sometimes over time, but sometimes quite rapidly. The recently concluded 40 Days for Life campaign reports that forty-five abortion clinics have closed since 2007 as they prayed and blessed outside clinics, with appointment cancellations as high as 75% when they are praying; these drunk in the spirit types do nothing more aggressive than prayer.
The Rev. Martin Luther King led a civil rights movement for fourteen years – until his martyrdom – fueled by nothing but the Holy Spirit, according to King himself. Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, asked how he remained at peace through seven years of trumped-up indictments on perfectly legal behavior, criminal conviction, and eventual acquittal-on-appeal of felony charges, said he went to Congress not knowing his Lord and became filled with Him while there; he had no other explanation. Like former power broker Chuck Colson, DeLay now knows real power.
The Bible also says His strength is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9) in our weakness. The Christians who took down autocratic governments in the Philippines and throughout Eastern Europe had no resources other than prayer and forgiveness without giving up their convictions. I don’t say whether our present government does or doesn’t need taking down. But like King, Colson, and DeLay, I recommend being drunk in God’s Spirit. It is the only authentic sobriety, and the only real power.

There are three things certain about our immigration system.
1) It is broken and desperately needs to be fixed.
2) There can be no fix until we are capable of stopping illegal immigration and come to the simultaneous realization that we are NOT going to deport 12 and a half million people.
3) There can be no fix until we whack any politician on any side of the issue who seeks to make a fix that results in a political advantage.
Let’s start with our President, the Senator Majority Leader, and the House Minority Leader. You would have to go a long way to convince me that Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi have a humanitarian bone in their corrupt bodies. They see this purely as a political way of ensuring the long-term survival of the Democrat Party.
On the other hand.
There are a whole lot of Republicans who represent constituents who find it very profitable to bring illegal immigrants to America to work for them because they work cheap and they’re scared of being deported.
Those folks are every bit as reprehensible as Harry Reid, whose only concern about illegals is how they might vote if the Democrats were to grant them citizenship.
The ONLY way to solve a problem that has been created by a dithering Congress, four dithering Presidents of both parties, and politicians of both parties seeking political advantage is to simultaneously seal the border, come up with a workable employment visa program, and grant a limited amnesty program to the good citizens among the 12 and a half million people who are already here (the vast majority) because of—let’s face it—our implicit encouragement.
Now is a good time to do it since the economy can only go in one direction from where it is today, taking the numbers of people wishing to emigrate to America in search of jobs with it.
I’ve come a long way on the subject of immigration over the years.
I started at “what part of illegal didn’t you understand?”
And then I realized that my own parents are first generation Americans whose parents came to America because it was a) the land of opportunity and b) an ill wind was blowing through Europe in the early 20th century—especially for Jews in eastern Europe.
Like it or not, there is no Ellis Island on the South edge of San Diego. Or El Paso or Tucson.
We may not have welcomed the Irish, the Italians, the Jews, and the rest of the Europeans who streamed to this nation in the early part of the 20th century with completely open arms; but we didn’t treat them like we treat Mexicans today.
The truth is that the stream of immigrants—both legal and illegal—bears some resemblance to the stream through Ellis Island in the early 1900s.
Because the other reality is that Mexico is almost irretrievably broken in terms of allowing its own citizens to accomplish with their lives what America allows its citizens to accomplish with theirs.
Simply put, maybe we do need an Ellis Island in San Diego.
Whatever we decide along those lines, we need to gain control of the border if for no other reason than to keep the Mexican equivalent of the La Cosa Nostra out more effectively than we did in 1915 in New York.
And we need an immigration policy that is clear and can be understood by everybody.
Those are bi-partisan objectives. There is nothing here that a Harry Reid can contribute to because he doesn’t care about anything that isn’t political.
And the folks at La Raza (who keep blathering about ‘taking back the southwest’) should, perhaps, concentrate their efforts on fixing the Mexican side of the equation. They would have a lot more credibility if Mexico’s government wasn’t controlled by a bunch of mobbed up drug lords.
It would also be nice if the Republicans would stop worrying about a fundamentally conservative group of people (mostly Catholic, pro-life Hispanics) voting Democrat if we give them a path to citizenship.
We are where we are as a result of abject stupidity on the part of both parties.
Don’t you think that it is time for the grown-ups to fix the problem idiots like Reid and Obama are striving to make worse once and for all?
