This may not come as a shocker, but MSNBC host Rachel Maddow made a false claim about Fox News a couple months ago. So false, in fact, that one fact-check website just concluded “we couldn’t find a single case” of what she said being true. For someone who likes to hate Fox, that’s big.
You might remember that last December Maddow appeared on the “Late Show” with David Letterman. During that appearance, she said some nice things about Glenn Beck, but she also attacked Fox News. “I of course think that [MSNBC is] much more true than Fox is true,” she explained to Letterman, and as an example pointed out that Fox had reported “ dozens and dozens of times” that “the New Black Panther Party decided the election for Barack Obama.”
But did Fox really report that? “No,” says the the fact-check group PolitiFact.
“Acting on a PolitiFact reader’s suggestion,” the site explains, “we fact-checked Maddow’s statement that Fox News ‘said the New Black Panther Party decided the election for Barack Obama.’”
Here’s its conclusion:
The transcripts we looked at showed that there was indeed lots of coverage on Fox. However, the discussions focused on the legal side of the story and whether other media outlets were derelict in not giving it enough attention.

All a certificate of live birth says is that the child was alive when brought to the hospital it does not mean he was born there and it does not state the doctors name who was in attnedance at the time of birth. They DO have a duty to lie, according to the Qur'an…it is written that it is okay to lie to further their agenda…That's one reason that I'm never surprised at the denials, etc., when a Muslim is being interviewed. First I have to say that, I don't watch msnbc, and I don't know much about Rachel Maddow, so I can probly say that, she doesn't listen to Fox News, therefore is as ignorant of Fox News as I am about the fact that I don't watch nor listen to anyone who works for msnbc. I watch them once and once was to much for me and the only reason I watch them the one time was for a class I took in college. am sure Ms Rachel was just talking dumbly, if that is a word?

Hate to change the subject, but this situation in Egypt has got my attention more so than Rachel Maddow and what see thinks. If one really takes a good look in that region of the world, and notice all the regime changes that is or is about to take place, tells me that all these radical overthrowing regions has the look of major radical organizations behind them in hope that they could remain stealthly for the moment in order to get their people in the mix of the new government that will come out of the rebellion or as some has said, revolution. It is strange that all of a sudden in that region, so many arab nations has decided to rise up at about the same time, which will be as an ignited fire that is about to spread if the other nations don't wake up and get a hold of their own country. I see it rising up not just in that region of the world, but also I see this Fire spreading through out europe and possibly America as well. There has been to much negative going on everywhere for quite sometime, so America We must Wake Up and start paying better attention, or I am positive we will see it in America. To me, it just appears that there are alot of people on this New World Order Kick.

I remember Iran in 1979 and some of the same feelings of freedom were used to overthrow that dictator. We all see how that turned out. Sometimes the dictator we know is better than the unknown we don't known when dealing with the Middle East. Egypt is a different type of place today than Iran was in 1979. I hope they get a chance to have a fair election and this just doesn't go to another country we will have to worry about in the future. The Iranian leadership supported the unrest but will not allow it on there soil. Iran involved in anything can't not be good for us. Interesting times we are in now and the middle east could go either way quickly. Things done quickly and unplanned usually fail.

Actually not even close, with the various networks you named. Fox News leads MSNBC and CNN, but falls far short of the news programs on the three traditional networks (NBC, ABC and CBS).

Hearing Rachael Maddcow talk about the truth is a lot like Satan talking about Christianity. They just don't line up. MSNBC has there aduience all 7 or 8 of them which probably believe what they hear on that channel. I don't even get MSNBC, Dish network only gives me the top 120 channels and MSNBC isn't even available. I wouldn't watch that channel even if I did get it, but they can't even beat out the Document Channel, or shows like Ice Road Truckers.

If Madcow had the truth in her she would have said "Obama's attorney general refuses to prosecute the New Black Panthers for videoed voter intimidation at many polls during the 2008 presidential election." Even if FOX had reported what she said, it could be argued that just like Obama's campaign paid $850,000 to ACORN to assure voter fraud activity like the New/Same-old Black Panthers, helped him get elected… FOX would have been correct.
