A review of current gasoline prices reveals an interesting fact. There is a solid relationship between the pump price of gas and local support for Barack Obama. The higher the chances of Obama winning a state, the higher the gas prices its residents are paying.
The deep blue bastions of California, Illinois, Washington D.C, and New York pay the highest prices for gasoline, and the most red states like Wyoming, Montana, Oklahoma, and Utah, where Obama has virtually no chance of winning next November, have among the lowest pump prices.
Ninety percent of the states that voted against Obama in 2008 have pump prices below the national average. It is one of the frustrating ironies of Obama’s current gasoline crisis that he gets the benefit of a price average which is lower than it actually should be because of better management and lower taxes in red states.
Conversely, over eighty percent of the states Obama won in 2008 are bringing up the national average price because they are tax-and-spend gulags.
Democrat nests such as San Francisco ( $4.35 per gallon), Santa Barbara, Chicago, and Honolulu are all getting the higher gasoline prices they deserve because the voted for Barack Obama’s “hope and change.”
The question becomes: will the brain-dead rank-and-file Democrats in these states decide they have had enough, or will they believe the ridiculous claims from “political scientists” that gas prices don’t matter to voters?
With gas prices at or near the national average in Ohio and Florida, these states become concerns for Obama in light of his refusal to approve the Keystone pipeline from Canada. Canada’s announcement that she will not reverse her decision to sell her crude oil to China and ignore American requests for cheap oil will not be forgotten across Heartland America on Election Day. A Republican Congressman from California put it best in summing up Obama’s gasoline problem when he observed: “It’s going to be very important in the fall. People fill those gas tanks almost every other day.”
After three years of Obama, there is no more hope and very little change to pay to fill up.

Oregon Must be going to vote Obama! They say we are the 3rd highest prices in the US. I don’t even look at prices anymore. Just pump it in and go ugh. and bend over and pay the bill. No transportation through here. Live 20 miles to nearest town. I try to only go to town once a month. I can go 9 miles to a jab you store where you pay more than the highest store around. We have a Walmart 60 miles away. The nearest Target is 80 miles away. We Have Fred Meyer and Safeway. We will be getting a BI-Mart but the prices are half again more than 75 miles away. There is a Bi-Mart 35 miles away but their prices are half again Willamette Valley. When you live on $828.00 a month it is hard. I retired with $3,500 a month then had a annerism. Took everything but basic Social Security. I just hope I can scratch enough to pay my taxes so have a roof over my head. Maybe I should vote Socializm and divide the wealth! Thanks Obama!
We all need to pray and ask forgiveness for not standing up to the evil that has been spending since 1913 when Wilson allowed the Federal Reserve to take this country over. Not one republican adm. has ever tried to go back and reverse this take over of America. JFK was the last American president to speak up was JFK. June 63 virtually unknown presidential decree/Executive Order 11110 was signed with authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of it’s power to loan money to the U.S. Fed. Gvt. with Interest. JFK declared the privately owned bank would soon be out of buss. we all know who went out of buss. don’t we?
I read where Florida went Dem in 2008 presidential election. Well I certainly hope that my fellow Floridians remember this alright; because we don’t want a repeat . Not to mention the many Jewish residents who shouldn’t forget Obamas treatment of Israel so far. Right now where I live the gas is at 3.76 a gal. , but that
will no doubt change. And : tome,, am sorry to hear about your situation ,, hope things get better. Is there a chance you can file for disability? It took my husband a couple years, but he finally got it. And if you’re a veteran you can file for benefits as well.. But I’m not sure about your situation.
Four years ago when gasoline prices were comparable to today’s there was a daily onslaught of radio, television and print main stream media attacks on the “big oil men” Bush and Cheney and what exactly was their self-interest in doing nothing to bring the price down. Then Bush did something and the price fell to less than $2.00/gallon by the day Obama was inaugurated. Bush did something! Stupidity comes out of Obama’s mouth, like, “there’s no silver bullet out there to fix this problem’ and we hear not a peep from the Diane Sawyers or the NPR type folks out there. They always called Bush a “dunce” and Obama the smartest man out there. What kind of an insane asylum has this country become?
you know the hypocrites will always stand by their man. I’ve got these great stickers, post-um size I got on the internet. they have pre-printed mess. ‘hi there fellow voter and taxpayer, do you remember Jan 20th, 2009 when gas was $1.79 a gal. national average? Now how’s that hope and chage working out? Remember how Obama has helped you in Nov. 2012.’ I think I got that right. just started putting them out a week ago. I pump gas and then put the post – it up on the pump for the next consumer. I’m sure there’ll be all kinds of mixed reactions when they read it. I’m sending a pkg of 25 to friends in San Fran area who are conservatives and a pkg to friends in FL who are conservatives wish I could remember the web site where I ordered them to pass on but, I bet google the phrase and it might come up It was something like patriot (something .com ) or vision to America . com ??? I sure wish thousands of them would show up all over the country this summer… could really make a statement bkz even my dem family members and friends buy gas.
Bush opened the oil reserves. The price wasn’t high very long (maybe a month or so) but when he opened the reserves gas took a nose dive.
