President Barack Obama signed the latest National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law on January 2, renewing the power to apprehend and detain Americans indefinitely granted in the previous year’s version.
In order to protect their citizens from being grabbed and imprisoned under the provisions of the NDAA, many state lawmakers are standing up to the federal government, proposing resolutions nullifying this unconstitutional power at the state borders.
Nullification is a concept of constitutional law recognizing the right of each state to nullify, or invalidate, any federal measure that exceeds the few and defined powers allowed the federal government as enumerated in the U.S. Constitution.
Nullification exists as a right of the states because the sovereign states formed the union, and as creators of the compact, they hold ultimate authority as to the limits of the power of the central government to enact laws that are applicable to the states and the citizens thereof.
As President Obama continues accumulating all legislative, executive, and judicial power, the need for nullification is urgent, and liberty-minded citizens are encouraged to see state legislators boldly asserting their right to restrain the federal government through application of that very powerful and very constitutional principle.

I am disgusted with all the talk going around. It has pretty much proved that the illegal person occupying the white house is guilty of all charges. Yet congress has their heads buried in the sand. What is stopping them. It has been proved that his famous birth certificate is a crude attempt at making an official looking certificate forgery. He is guilty of the murders of 4 people in Benghazi. He has stepped on the Constitution so many times I cannot list them all here. No one, even Benedict Arnold has committed so many offenses. The Judges obviously have been bought off. Why is this all true? We must get rid of this muslim counter-fit in the white house. With all the secrets he has buried in his brain we cannot release him to the public as we all know he would give them to the muslim brotherhood to attack our country. With that taken into account, when he is found guilty we must either hang him by the rope or put him in front of the firing squad.
Very well said ajetboatman. I completely agree. The only difference being, he has caused more than we could ever put into words, or have the paper to write it all on. There is no one to trust in Congress, our Judicial system, or any of our alphabetical government employees paid for by our tax dollars. And if Hagel and Brennen get appointed, rest assured, they’ll join the ranks of BO, Pelosi, Reid, Holder, Jarrett, and all the rest of this most corrupt government. Our only prayer is God and our military, so we need to keep praying.

Indefinite detention? Isn’t that what we have going on now for almost 3 years at El Paso TX with the Muslim terrorist, Nadal Hasan, an American citizen, who has been held indefinitely without any noticeable effort to bring him to trial for killing 14 Americans. I say turn him loose, then target him with an armed drone. Isn’t that Obama’s demonstrated Modus Operandi for terrorists who are American citizens who have and will plot to kill more Americans if given the opportunity, i.e. no arrest, no Miranda rights, no due process in court, just target ‘em and kill ‘em using a UAV. Give him a slight head start then POW! End of another Islamo-Nazi. It would give the drone operators some good practice. They could even compete with two drones to see who gets the prize.
Why didn’t the San Bernardino Sheriff’s department think of that for Dorner. They could have in effect gone green and saved their CS by calling in a drone strike which could have hit the cabin with one well placed round, end of story and another mass murderer. Even Obama couldn’t have complained about that since it was a drone strike, his favorite weapon to use against American citizens.
