Someone at long last has had the courage to tell the plain, honest truth about race.
After mobs of young blacks rampaged through Philadelphia committing violence — as similar mobs have rampaged through Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee and other places — Philadelphia’s black mayor, Michael A. Nutter, ordered a police crackdown and lashed out at the whole lifestyle of those who did such things.
“Pull up your pants and buy a belt ’cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt,” he said. “If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you? They don’t hire you ’cause you look like you’re crazy,” the mayor said. He added: “You have damaged your own race.”
While this might seem like it is just plain common sense, what Mayor Nutter said undermines a whole vision of the world that has brought fame, fortune and power to race hustlers in politics, the media and academia. Any racial disparities in hiring can only be due to racism and discrimination, according to the prevailing vision, which reaches from street corner demagogues to the august chambers of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Just to identify the rioters and looters as black is a radical departure, when mayors, police chiefs and the media in other cities report on these outbreaks of violence without mentioning the race of those who are doing these things. The Chicago Tribune even made excuses for failing to mention race when reporting on violent attacks by blacks on whites in Chicago.

The Inner City Blacks are among some of the worst trash we have accumulated in America, with millions more streaming across our borders. Do not expect anyone to take care of this problem, for both the Republicans and the Dems have turned their back on the issues. The politicians know that, if they can destroy the United States as a nation of one people that, the people will give up all their freedom and liberty to feel secure. Our nation will never be strong again, until we remove these criminals from office, who brought the businesses to their knees, forced them to go overseas to avoid harmful regulation, and then given small business loans to foreigners to replace our mom and pop businesses. The Blacks are merely getting what they helped achieve; absolutely nothing.
Mr. Sowell has nailed the topic, we are so bound up by things like a racially based caucus that commonsense fails us, I for one have never found a decent reason for using race this way. We earn our respect because we speak as free men and women, not because some turkey in a goverment suit told us we can. This mayor is a black man and obviously a man given to free speech and not PC, were a white mayor to have berated these thugs they way this black mayor did the PC black caucus would have just had a fit of hysterics and sat on their hands…Thanks to free speech we have some damn fine people in this country and it makes you proud to see them speak out….

SO SAD THAT AFTER BLACKS ATTAINING A HIGHER LEVEL IN OUR SOCIETY THAT THESE THUGS AND GANGS ARE DESTROYING THE DECADES OF HARD WORK BY THEIR PREDECESSORS.
Mr. Nutter is worthy of a great deal of respect. I have heard other comments from him that don't just apply to the inner city children but to all children. May God bless him.
