A UK doctor estimates that 130,000 elderly are put on a “death pathway” under socialized medical care to spare the medical system inconvenience. According to the UK Daily Mail:
“NHS (National Health Service) doctors are prematurely ending the lives of thousands of elderly hospital patients because they are difficult to manage or to free up beds, a senior consultant claimed yesterday. Professor Patrick Pullicino said doctors had turned the use of a controversial ‘death pathway’ into the equivalent of euthanasia of the elderly.”
Which suggests the National Health Service should be called the National Death Service over there.
There are around 450,000 deaths in Britain each year of people who are in hospital or under NHS care. Around 29 per cent – 130,000 – are of patients who were on the LCP.
Professor Pullicino claimed that far too often elderly patients who could live longer are placed on the LCP and it had now become an ‘assisted death pathway rather than a care pathway’.
One third of deaths in the UK now occur on the “Liverpool Death Pathway,” the NHS euphemism of sticking a label on your toe indicating “Ready for death.” The average time to die after that designation is 33 hours.
In other words, it’s all a lie for euthanasia.

I guess the idiots that are clamoring for this healthcare, doesn’t care that there parents and grandparents, and even children that are handicapped in any way, obama is all for killing them! healthcare doesn’t recognize republicans from democrats, all it see’s is more money for them!
Certainly there must have been a type-o. You probably meant the US not the UK, correct? This so-called healthcare bill has not yet been implimented (and let’s pray it never will be), here in the US, yet this box would not give me enough room to present the citizens of this country all the facts of what is already happening in the health care field since the fraud has become dictator. I will not give my age, as I can no longer use the 1/2′s, (as in “I’m now 4 1/2 years old). But, I already cannot change doctors, I have to use the same pharmacy, I am no longer eligible to have more than 1 x-ray per year, (unless it’s for something newly “broken”), 1 MRI every 5 years, only allowed to see one of my Specialist every 6 months, and the list goes on. We’re a lot closer to being like the UK than people would truly want to know.
