Hating White folks is quite popular in our ranks. Our Klan behavior is mostly self-inflicted, so we’ve yet to see American Whites running for their lives from Black lynch mobs.
White nationalists argue that Black-on-White violence rates describe a more operational hatred than what I’m alluding to. Feel free to visit their sites and judge for yourselves.
There is, however, an attitude among American Blacks that it’s often acceptable to privately denounce Whites as ‘devils”, ‘crackers”, and other epithets. Liberal sisters and brothers hasten adding this happens among White folks too.
Point noted. Racial epithets directed at Blacks such as the N-word aren’t foreign in some White households, but that’s not my subject. Mimicking their wrong doesn’t magically make ours right.
My overriding concern is the erosion of moral high ground in my segment of America. Payback politics is the order of the day, eclipsing Kingian (as in Dr Martin Luther King) emphasis on character over skin color.
I can’t address internal negatives afflicting the Black community by using my past in the 80s as the only frame of reference.
While the past provides context for present conditions, it can’t be used in a one-size-fits-all manner.
Slavery can’t explain today’s Black homicide rate. Jim Crow doesn’t answer why our two-parent family unit has ceased to exist.
Blaming Republicans is a fun exercise, but it isn’t Republicans busy tearing the inner city down from within. Do-nothing Black Democrats get re-elected by accusing White Republicans as the problem- not non-performance.
Obama is seen as payback for slavery and discrimination. The fact that our unemployment and middle class loss skyrocketed on his watch doesn’t shake this mass delusion of inclusion.
Hating White Republicans, White conservatives, and non-liberal Whiteness period seems to be their holy grail. The rage, vulgarity, and even documented violence inflicted upon Romney supporters of all colors speaks volumes. As does the deafening silence from the White House when this occurs.
American Blacks borrowed the best practices from the Democrat Party’s segregation-era playbook and reloaded it: blind loyalty, dissenter intimidation via social media, and an inability to accept other ideologies as valid.
The lessons of the past seem lost upon us. Being morally superior to White racism gave way to dipping bias in chocolate and declaring it chic.
Is this our victory? Acting like those we fought for generations?
A financial recession is bad enough. Compounding it with a moral one is intolerable.
Ritual recitals of White Republican racism rings hollow while so many American Blacks comfortably discriminate just like distant bigots they blame for everything under the sun.
By today’s low standards, were I a Black liberal, I’d hate my White friends too- just not to their faces. At least the New Black Panther Party is honest about their racism.
Being open about it brings too much heat, as the New Black Panther example illustrates. That’s why Black liberals who feel this way are so covert about it.
Like ‘upstanding” White Citizens’ Councils of old, such hatred is quietly deployed at the voting machine (and, some suspect, the jury box.)
I don’t hate White people- not even liberal ones. I disagree with policy and behavior- not pigment. Taking Americans on a case-by-case basis, as individuals, works for me.
Hating White people is beneath me.

We, whites, already know this but it is now being said and brought forward. The President is a great example of this by his use of the word “Revenge” which means – Blacks should vote against white people! Barack’s hatred in his own book where he rails against “Colonialism” is merely using this as a way to hate white people for colonialism. This President is the most racist President in American history and it shows in the polls.
Yes we white are fully aware, that it is ok for the blacks, if that is a good word, to hate, to call whites names, to down grade us, but it is against the law to call a black, a negro, etc and talk about hate. this is more the result of four years of a racist half black, full communist, full muslim who is bringing hate and lies to the whole world. Get rid of this sorry mess and things might, just might, i kinda doubt it, calm down a little. It has gone way to far now with this communist sowing his hatred to the whole world. he was never elected to office. he use voter fraud, lying sealing his records because it may have some bad records in it.. could be a birth certifcate from keyna in it. it is surely going to have some marist info in it. he is too deep into it.
God teaches to each his own. The house of babel was for this reason. Language and color is the will of god and should be protected and embraced. Differences are what make us great.

Rest assured anyone who wants to hate is going to get back from the White people more than they bargained for. This azz clown, Obama is setting up the black community and dividing the people so they will not stand for what is right together against him and his fringe groups. They will lose big in the end because if they are stupid enough to follow after this never evolved half wit, then they are not too bright. People who follow after him are those who are selfish and have nothing to offer the rest of the world for the most part. They do not build, but perform. They are not consistent except in their play worship. They are so stupid they follow after someone or something evil just because of skin color. It is obvious to me that people who would vote for this man are following after evil. This man has a constituency made of of different people who stand for different sins: Abortionists, homosexuals, (abusers of themselves by mankind, the S&M bunch?) people who are disobedient to God and their parents, people who are disobedient to laws, Haters of Christ and the ten Commandments, Dopers, followers after strange gods, etch. They are legion (many.) He has nothing for them except a falling away from their core values, false promises and lies given by him. All of this is done under the pretext of “getting back” at white people? The man has a screw loose and needs to be under observation. He will do nothing for the people but enable to a path to perdition. Obama is a man of sin. He stands for Sin; he holds power by sin. It would be best to listen to what is good and decent. You do not owe him an eternity in hell. That is where he is taking the people who are trailing along after him and what is is offering. There is no help in this man of lies, no Truth and no hope.
Ummm…capitalizing “white” is grammatically incorrect. This is why I can’t stand reading Essence Magazine because they do this incessantly. Makes me sick to my stomach every time I see it. It looks ignorant, backward and of a slave mentality. I’m an educated black woman and NOWHERE in all my studies have I ever seen this done. It is political correctness gone way too far. Betta, before you go off, I have black friends (who according to this article speak despairingly of me when I’m not around) and I and an educated white woman, but I have to tell you that the political correctness that you refer to is only expected of the white community. However, I agree that political correctness has gone way too far. It is unfortunate that this “we’re going to show you” attitude by the majority of blacks has done nothing more than cause many of us who have never cared what color someone was are now under such pressure over everything that we say and do, however innocent, are beginning to wonder if our open-mindedness was misguided. I’ve had many wonderful black friends who I thought were doing just what everyone else does without regard to color. They were “educated, literate, moral, hardworking, etc.”–all the things that I thought we all aspired to. But when I watch an election that saw 99% of the black community vote on color regardless of the fact that this administration has hurt them as much or more than the white community, my beliefs are being shaken. I say this with no malice for you and the good people of both races that I know, but in my “neck-of-the-woods” it is called shooting yourself in the foot. In intelligent company, it is called stupidity.

The biggest racist to come down the pike in years and years is in the White House. It is so sad that he has planned this, is carrying it out and for what? To control the whole USA. I had felt that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson could not be beat at racism, I was wrong, Obama makes them look like amateur play actors. Is the USA ever going to wake up? I fear it is already too late, but there is a very slim chance to get back to being the Greatest Nation in the World. It will take work and for many work is not in their vocabulary. Give me, I want, I deserve, and you are racist are by words now. Time to cut the cord and let those that can, do and those that won’t, do without. It is time to impeach this imposter. Will it happen? No, probably not because all those who hold the power to do it fear being called racist. I’ll start by saying that I appreciate this article although I think the title is misleading and it offends me. It is unfortunate that the black community doesn’t realize that you reap what you sow and the behavior that has been evident in the last four years is doing them more damage than they will ever perceive. Of course, maybe they really don’t care that the “White” people who weren’t racist and are now so branded are actually becoming that way. It will set their “rights” back years in the long run. I would like to say that contrary to the article that says that the “N-word” isn’t foreign in some white households, in my entire life I have only heard it said once by anyone of my ‘white’ family or friends and he was corrected before he finished his sentence. I have, however, been subjected to the word repeatedly from blacks in public conversation, music, etc. To maintain the ‘transparency’ O is so fond of talking about while not practicing, I am not a spring chicken and I have known people all over the US. Second, I appreciate that “Capblack” (?) pointed out that it took the GOP to get desegregation made the law and to make sure it happened while the Dems fought it tooth and nail for decades. Yet the black community continues to credit the Democrats for ‘saving’ them. As for the jury box, you don’t have to ‘suspect’, unless you are in a convent or live in a cave, it is right in front of you. And I know that that is not PC–it is only PC to rave that blacks are discriminated against in the judicial system because there are more in our prisons than whites. Not saying that it might not happen in some cities, but did anyone ever wonder if it is because they commit more crimes. I’m sure there must be some white gangs but the gang problem is endemic in the inner city populated by blacks. You can either make the place where you are planted better or make yourself better and leave. I wasn’t raised to regard color before character, I didn’t raise my children that way and they aren’t raising their children that way. They never knew that it was a problem until they were threatened in the big city school system and, surprise, it wasn’t by the black student. When they learned to be afraid for their safety, the good attitude that you have is eroded. The backlash will be hell. This administration has set race relations back at least 20 years. The nation may not be “red and white” but it is sure going back to becoming “black and white”. What a loss.
If it wasn’t for the whites, the blacks would be no where. Look at the blacks who don’t live in America and tell me which ones are living free and prosperous. There are none. Black people have not done much as a culture. Then tend to keep each other down because of their culture. I was told by a black man once that “one doesn’t rise above another” in the black community. Why is this? Whites are constantly blamed for the black man’s problems but no amount of money can fix laziness and ignorance. Oh, white folk have plenty of lazy and ignorant in their own communities but you won’t hear them blame blacks for this. I think it is time that blacks stop poisoning their children by teaching them to hate whites. The attitude of many blacks is what holds them back in life.

The wedge of race hate is being driven deeper and deeper into our civilazation. Those who drive this wedge are masterful corrupt individuals in it for power and wealth. It is very hard to wae against these and the media who continually beat at this wedge with their greed and malcontent. Michelle Obama is equally as bad as her husband. She just manages to hide it a little better. They both are WHITE haters…. and have been and always will be. The ONLY time Obama needs something done that he knows a BLACK is not capable of doing.. he hires a WHITE to do it. Obama wants to be WHITE so badly… he hates his blackness …. he wont admit it.. but he does. He’s a half breed… not white and not black….but black features and hair and arrogance. As far as “we’ve yet to see American Whites running for their lives from Black lynch mobs” goes, you obviously havent been to downtown Baltimore…black gangs have been terrorizing whites on a daily basis with beatings, muggings and car jackings for years…the downtown area is off limits to white people anymore…and the mayor wont step up police patrols saying they’re not needed…could it be because shes black?…she also has INVITED illegals to camp in Baltimore as a sanctuary city so we now have not only black gangs, but the MS 13 as well as others…Baltimore is finished as well as many other U.S. cities because NO ONE will do anything for fear of being called racist…whites need to step up now, or leave the country to the criminals and get the hell out to where its safe.

Oh, really. Quit being so self-righteous. I don’t believe that all people hate for a minute. I don’t even hate some people for some reason or another. And I really, really dislike sanctimonious people who call me ignorant. Maybe you feel that but you don’t know me. I can’t think of anyone that I truly hate and you can trust me, I’ve had people do some things that should result in hate. But a wise woman once told me that when you bother with disliking someone, you invest as much energy as when you love someone. Why waste the energy–just forget their name. So I do. I will admit to not liking some people, finding some tedious, others ignorant–but to blanket everyone shows a very sanctimonious person. Hasn’t anyone ever told you that in a test, any question or statement that says “none”, “all”, “always”, etc. is wrong 99% of the time? Nothing in this life is absolute.
