Amid his battle with the Justice Department and his investigation of Obama’s eligibility, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been asked to address a large audience of delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
The invitation-only reception for delegates from Western states will be held Aug. 30 at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. Elephants, appropriately, are expected to be at the GOP event.
“Sheriff Joe is a good friend and a great Republican,” said Tom Morrissey, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party.
Noting Arpaio is a former member of the Electoral College representing Arizona, Morrissey said the sheriff is “wildly popular, not just in Maricopa County, but throughout the state and the country.”
“He’s done a lot for the Republican Party already, and we’re overjoyed that as always he is willing to join us as we visit some of our ‘fellow elephants’ while in Tampa,” the GOP leader said.

I am offended that any one that would question Obama’s eligibility is labeled a birther.
My wife says it is a world order, and that I just have to except it. I say no I am not going to except it. I went into the military during Viet Nam for 4 years active and 2 year inactive to protect the constitution not some world order, and I am disabled because of it.
This is unacceptable to me, and I will not be walked on by any wet nosed foreigner.
Your wife is foolish at best, and stupid at worst. We have to stand up against Obuma now or we will find ourselves ruled by a dictator who despises America, loves radical Islam, bows in subjection to the King of Saudi Arabia, assures Putin that the United States will unilaterally dismantle its missle defense systems, skips the National Day of Prayer but attends a Muslim prayer service, hates Jews and Christians, and loves Bill Ayers and Pastor Wright. Let’s fight!
Sheriff Joe would make a better President than Obama or Romney!
Sheriff Joe is a very intelligent, smart, strong, capable man who is doing a great job. I think he would fit perfectly in the office Nappy is corrupting – Homeland Security. It would be great to have departments like DEA, ICE, Secret Service, FBI, and Justice under the direction of Sheriff Joe. While I’m at it, I think Dana Perino would be great as the Presidential Press Secretary. There should also be good places for Michelle Maulkin, Oliver North, Newt Gingrich, Glen Beck, and several other knowledgeable, strong, individuals who are able to totally eradicate every vestige of Obumaism.
I like the man and what he stands for! Need people of strong moral conviction as he does! Looking foward to what he will be saying at the Republican National Convention in Tampa,Florida!
