Does anyone know, or care, for that matter that AARP agreed to endorse Obamacare because it gains an unfair advantage from the program? AARP told the Obama administration that they would endorse his pet program if Obamacare would eliminate Medicare Advantage (about 25% of recipients use it to cut costs to themselves, as I do) and force those on the advantage program to seek Medicare Supplemental Insurance (from which AARP makes BILLIONS simply by endorsing). The benefit of this arrangement is NOT to the people receiving the benefits, but to AARP. Big Pharma (the pharmaceutical industry as a whole) also cut a deal with Obama. They would endorse Obamacare if the program would prevent citizens from going to other countries (like Canada) to buy their cheaper drugs. The benefit, again, is NOT to people seeking a lower drug cost, but to the big pharmaceutical companies looking for a way to eliminate competition. Say…isn’t there a law against price-fixing? I guess it only applies to companies that are not kissing Obama’s ….er…ring!
The Medicare Advantage elimination was supposed to take place BEFORE the election; but Obama, being the wily politician that he is, had Nancy Pelosi delay the action until AFTER the election. Do you think he might have been afraid to tick off a couple million seniors by stealing their coverage? What happened to Obama’s “you can keep the coverage that you have” line of B.S.? Seniors, have you noticed that an awful lot of doctors are suddenly retiring or getting out of private practice? Have you done any research as to the number of people who are no longer considering medical school here in the United States? Maybe you should start considering learning a foreign language so that you’ll be able to better understand the physicians who are going to be filling the gap. It’ll give you a new hobby to keep you occupied.
Social Security started out with good intentions, but it has evolved into a charity plan that cannot be sustained with the dwindling population that is now engaged in a “ponzi scheme”. Where does the money come from to pay the children of deceased payees? That money is on top of what widows get. If you have more people taking money out of a program than you have putting in, the program is going to bankrupt in the near future despite the empty promises of the politicians to the contrary. The situation is about to get much worse in the next couple of years when a whole lot of baby boomers stop paying into the system and start taking OUT of the system. Romney/Ryan want to REFORM the system to preserve it, while Obama and the Progressives want to ignore it long enough to retire with their GOVERNMENT GUARENTEED pensions, leaving all of us to fend for ourselves.
For some reason, the Progressives in both parties think that because we get older, we get dumber; and that’s why they resort to scare tactics rather than sound economic policy. My wife and I worked all our lives (starting at 16); when we became disabled 10 years ago, we expected our investment to take care of us. Millions of seniors feel the same way, but the politicians like to speak out of both sides of their mouth and use Mediscare tactics if you dare question their responses to the problems facing entitlements. When the government starts using a realistic index to calculate the actual cost of living (they don’t figure in energy costs or food) then they can criticize us for wanting what we all paid for! Government employees get steady cost-of-living raises; but when it comes to Social Security and Medicare, the government doesn’t want to apply the same rules to us as they do to themselves.
Those faceless bureaucrats don’t care if the elderly or disabled eat pet food or can’t pay their utilities as long as those people keep believing the lies and remain loyal voters of their party. Obama has made more promises to more people and groups that he has broken than any other president that I can remember in my lifetime. Seniors, are we really, as a group, going to continue allowing ourselves to be frightened into ignoring the truth and being manipulated into settling for what the Progressives want to dole out to us; or are you willing to vote for people who are willing to reform the system, save your benefits, and make sure the programs are going to be there for your children and grandchildren? On November 6th, you will have a chance to decide. I pray that you will keep these words in mind. May God bless you all and the United States of America. Adieu.

Hey, seniors…here’s something else for you…..recently my husband and I were in a doctor’s waiting room and overheard the doctor telling two employees that their patient care was going to change. When it was determined a patient need a treatment, such as surgery, he would have to petition a government panel for permission or he wouldn’t be paid. And, if the patient was determined by the panel to be “too old”, the treatment would be denied. “too old” was not explained……we have heard this from critics of obamacare before, but I never heard it from a doctor. Check with yours to confirm, and don’t even think of voting for the incumbent. Romney/Ryan will repeal obamacare and replace it with something sane!!! Medicare has never been like this…there are some restrictions on how often some tests can be done, such as once a year or once every two years, but even that can be overridden by a doctor. Please pass this around…seniors need to know!!!
Yes I did but did the rest of the folks know that AARP endorses obama? Compare their information page from 08 to todays where they claim they only provide information to help their members make election decisions. My bet is they paint obama as more desirable over Romney just as they did with mccain! So if your AARP you vote obama!
I have seen government run health care in countries like Norway, Germany Sweden and Denmark because I lived there for a number of years . These countries have government run health care, also known as socialized medicine. They have practiced rationing for decades. I still hear from my friends there and they say it is much worse. I will agree that our system is broken but Government run health care is not the answer. In a government run health system, many have to wait months and even years to get needed procedures or care for some of their problems. Quite a few of them die before they receive that treatment. Corrupt government officials will use health care as a tool of control. In my opinion, that is what Obamacare will do to this country. If I am wrong, I will be the first to admit it. If our system is so bad, why do a lot of foreigners come here from other countries to get the treatment they need? If Obamacare is so great, why didn’t it go into effect immediately instead of being delayed until 2013 after the election? Why did Congress exempt themselves from it? If you go through it and read it you will see why. That is unless you are so convinced that you don’t think that there could be a lot of hidden things in those 2700 plus pages. We all heard Nancy Pelosy say that we had to pass it to see what was in it. When the President signed it Congressman John Dingell of Michigan, gleefully proclaimed that the government now has control of the people. The video of that is available. It is my opinion that the AARP does not represent seniors at all. They fully supported the Obama Health Care Bill knowing full well that it called for a Five Hundred Billion Dollar cut in Medicare benefits. In my opinion they sold us out. I interpreted that as a direct slap in the face to all seniors. Now their television advertisements are expressing their phony concern about the cuts in Medicare benefits that they fully supported when they gave their endorsement to the Obama Health Care Bill. They supported Obama Care and now they are trying to look like that great defender of Senior benefits with their phony advertisements. They expect to make millions with the Medicare Supplemental Insurance Policy they want to sell to seniors. Their hypocrisy is showing.
Why can’t the American people see what this Bas7ard is doing and what his main objective is? Is it that they don’t want to see? Heck I would like to have a new cell phone with free minutes, but not at this kind of expense, I don’t want anything from the government. Leave me the He11 alone. The government isn’t supposed to cater to the people on all this crap. Protect our boarders, keep us safe, I know people who collect food stamps, sell them and buy expensive tvs and live it up. If you don’t work and can you don;t need to eat. Simple as that. Sure there is the people who can’t work, I’m not talking about them at all. Only the dead beats. 7 or 8 prople in a household and they have toys even rich people don’t have, mostly because they have no use of junk. Idiots, dead beats spend money like they have a bottomless bucket of money, i guess they do. I have plenty of junk, but I use it to work or make money, not to play computer games, watch movies and complain that the government didn’t buy me a new computer, even they did buy me a cell phone with free minutes. The Bast38’3 is trying to make the united states a communist nation, which will never stand or be great again. We must vote him out! And the rest of the dirty harrys, and the idiot that wants us to pass the bill to see what is in it. hahahaha makes me laugh every time i think about that. Don’t let them get away with it. Watch your voting stations that they don’t stuff the ballot boxes.

I forgot to add something to the article. American health care technology is the BEST in the world, and yes, it is expensive, but there are people alive today who wouldn’t have been even ten years ago. If you really want to lower your health care costs then start electing people to Congress who will get the government OUT of the business of so heavily regulating it. Demand that the government stop giving big “Pharma” a monopoly on drugs and their prices. If you want to buy the same drugs you get now from Canada, then as free Americans, you should have that right. You, and your doctor should be able to determine your health care that you need based on your ability to pay. Lastly, get REAL “Tort Reform” in place and lawyers the hell out of our conversation with our doctors, and our treatment. Doctors, contrary to what they, and you may think, are not God, sometimes they make mistakes, and sometimes things happen that no one can control, but putting them OUT of business helps no one!
