walmartgreeterman “Senior Baggers”: Another Side Effect of Obamanomics

While the Democrats and their union masters have been busy insulting and ridiculing the TEA Party movement by calling us “tea baggers” (a foul and disgusting epithet), they have also been creating a new class of Americans. We can call them “Senior Baggers.”

You see them in every Wal-Mart and in many grocery stores across the country. They are the working seniors who have been either thrust back into the work force by the poor economy or who were never able to leave. Because the skills they acquired during their working years have no application in a supermarket, and because they are too frail for other tasks, they do the only job they can handle: bagging groceries. Thus, they become “Senior Baggers.”

Some are 65 and still look vigorous, but many are past 75 and visibly worn out. Their lives have been smashed by Barack Obama and his Marxist policies. Their “golden years” are a nightmare in which they are condemned to work until they die.

In many cases these “Senior Baggers” are the main source of support for three generations. Their meager incomes feed themselves, their children, and grandchildren. The damage done since the Democrats rode into power has been deep, wide, and crippling to entire generations.

Senior Baggers, however, are among the hardest hit of Obama’s victims, and many will not be around when America rebounds. For them, this is it. Monday was just another Labor Day for these American workers; they’ve seen them before, and they will see them again.  Their “Hope and Change” has been reduced to hope for some change and the humiliation of depending on a tip cup.

They Saw it Coming

In 2008, the wisdom that is acquired with age caused seniors to oppose Barack Obama. Senior citizens voted against him by a margin of 53-45. The most recent Gallup poll, broken down by age groups, revealed that only 34 percent of voters aged 65 and over approve of the job Obama is doing in office.

The Senior Baggers will be out in force to bag Obama on November 6, 2012. They know what he is about. They have lived his dream, and they have had enough of him.

Your article about we seniors is right on the mark. I’m 76, married, and raising a grand daughter whom we adopted at birth to be our daughter. Obama has deprived we seniors of a raise for two years. I finally had to go out and work at a part-time job. It’s a good job because I don’t have any stress or worry; I work at a funeral home as an attendant and it’ pay’s well. But, the point is, I had to find a job to supplement my income because Obama’s economic policy’s are a failure. No, I did not vote for Obama. I saw from the start he is a fraud. I don’t need his Obamacare either. I’m a Korean War veteran and have excellent care from the VA. As far as fitness goes, at my age I’m a karateka who enjoy’s working out and know’s how to defend myself against any Obama union thug. PS. I also have my CCP.

At least the senior baggers are willing to work. Not like the younger population that thinks government should take care of them.

  3. This article was an eye opener for me a 73 year-old senior who has worked at part-time jobs since retirement in 2005, that is, until the part-time jobs all dried up after the full-time ones. I moved far away from the cruise ship terminal where I had my first post-retirement job. Then, the company where I worked part-time in my new city downsized and cut my job and a lots of others — many who were nearing retirement when their jobs of 25, 30 years or more were cut. Then, the 2010 Census ended. At that time, I worked because I just liked working and enjoyed being “out there” around other people, etc. Now, however, I’m job hunting because I need to work in order to meet my financial obligations.

My pension was good and kept pace until Obama took over with his hair-brained Marxist schemes! Since there have been no cost of living raises in several years and the price of gasoline and groceries have skyrocketed, it’s getting more and more difficult to make ends meet. To boot, gasoline, grocery and who knows what other prices are not even considered when considering cost of living increases. Is that stupid or what?

When I paid off my car, I tried to save the $350.00 per month, but that wasn’t possible because the car payment was now totally offset by inflation — inflation which the Obama Administration has yet to acknowledge exists. And, of course, we all know the inflation is only going to get worse, much, much worse. Then what? Can’t pay the mortgage, medications, groceries? Bankruptcy? I never thought those would be my options, but now I truly feel they could be.

Why was this article an eye opener for me? Well, I guess I thought it was just me and that perhaps I was doing something wrong and that I was the only one going through this! Unfortunately, I can see that it’s not just me. It would appear that many, perhaps most seniors are in the same boat and the boat is sinking!

It is time to get rid of Obama and all his cronies and the 2012 elections may be the last chance, not only for seniors but for the entire nation! These are very serious times for this country.

    Thanks for letting me VENT!
