  1. Geral Sills says:

If Letterman is that ignorant of our tax and spend problems, and who creates our jobs, then how does he manage his own finances? He apparently does not understand what is wrong with education, or how the Department of Education has a goal of creating ignorant students. Nothing in Education is happening by accident, and money will only worsen the problem. Letterman needs more than an Economics lesson. And he isn't funny!

  2. Concerned Citizen says:

The only thing Letterman says that is remotely intelligent is that he himself is a dumb ass. I finally had something to agree with him about. Rand kicked Douchebag Dave in the teeth with facts, that he simply couldn't comprehend. POOR POOR Dave, what a loser!

  3. Letterman is a real d-bag! Why do honorable people like Ran Paul give him the time of day. His audiences are seeded with mindless liberals so why waste breath on them?

  4. Letterman is wealthy and I bet he uses as many tax breakers to preserve his wealth. He also fails to acknowledge that history has shown that high tax rates on businesses actually reduces the amount of revenue. Besides, higher tax costs are passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.

Businesses do need to pay taxes but not be slammed with excessive tax rates. Look at the states that have low business tax rates – they are growing in this economy. Nevada has opened an office in California to recruit businesses to re-locate in Nevada. In the meantime, California wants to raise business and individual tax rates.

Letterman knows that if he doesn't attract viewers, his income will go down; employees will be laid off; and eventually the program will fold.

There has to be a balance between local, state, federal and private enterprises that conduct business in America. In my for home town for example, the waste pickup company was city owned and operated. It didn't work well and had a lot of problems in picking of the trash (a lot of spillage will dumping cans). The city council elected to bid out the waste business. A waste management company took over and the quality and cost of service has been exceptional ever since.

  5. I watch Letterman and wonder if he is saying these things because it is popular or because he himself is representative of the ignorance of Democrats in general. I think it is a bit of both.

Some people like Letterman who are in front of a crowd are afraid to speak the truth to Unions, and Government workers because it is seen as unpopular and would bring a lot of booing from the ignorant (Democrats) in the crowd.

That same problem is replicated in life and through our media. In order to maintain their popularity, people and organizations agree with what they know is not true to keep from getting boo's from the popular crowd. They are afraid to speak the truth for fear of being booed by the majority of ignorant fools in the crowd.

Other people are so ignorant that they actually believe the popular group think and are the ones doing the booing. They cannot think for themselves.

  6. Letterman is a dufus. Why does Rand Paul or any "sensible" politician go on his show? I'm still waiting for one of the "newbies" in the House or Senate to take up the Obozo eligibility issue. Until one does, I am convinced that we are doomed as a sovereign nation.

  7. Letterman probably has a professional business manager. He seems unaware that the federal government has failed at just about everything they manage: AMTRAK, Social Security, Medicare, the U.S. Postal Service. We are spending more per student than any other nation and our rankings in Math and Science are unforgivable! Obviously just throwing money at the problem will not solve it. We were doing better when schools had less federal control and were handled by the States. Then George W. same up with No Child Left Behind and the teachers began teaching to the tests. Is it any wonder so many young people are dropping out? No one has learned that actions have consequences.

  8. It is simple! Letterman embarrassed himself.

  9. He qualifies as one of those wealthy fat guys who gets tax breaks! He shows his stupidity in trying to make Rand Paul look stupid! Here's a fact for you Letterman, we have been throwing money at schools for years and the kids get dumber instead of smarter! Anytime there's a problem, people like you think that by throwing money at it, it will solve the problem! Well it doesn't and that
's been proven many times! Look at the govt., they keep taking our money and it has got worse, not better! Why should I have to pay for some govt. employees's health care for the rest of their life when I am struggling to pay for my own? Let them pay for their own healthcare! Why should I have to do without healthcare so I can pay for theirs? Instead of throwing their money at nobama and the democrats, the unions should put all union dues in an account and not touch it, that way the union can pay for the healthcare and not the struggling American taxpayer. It's their choice to give it to the dems!

"The video you have requested is not available"

Caleb can you find a new link and repost. I think it's been scrubbed.

  11. Of course the melt down was all President Bush's fault. As the left told us then we see a report that states the possibility that other countries tried to bring us down Or should I us the "T" word;

Evidence outlined in a Pentagon contractor report suggests that financial subversion carried out by unknown parties, such as terrorists or hostile nations, contributed to the 2008 economic crash by covertly using vulnerabilities in the U.S. financial system.

DUH; You wonder why they dumped this now while everyone is watch the middle east melt down and Outsiders are being bused into Wisconsin to beat up Fox News Reporters. The left won in 2006 with no plan except everything President Bush did is wrong and followed that same game plan in 2008. Not once did they say what their plan was. A country is only as strong as it leaders and we have played the nice card all over the world. The world is not is dog eat dog and nice guys finish last. FACT
