Congressman King is not the only Republican Congressman who skirts the issue of Obama’s eligibility to be president. The whole House of Representative are at fault here. There obviously has been an agreement between the political Parties to not bring up Obama’s birth certificate, his social security number, or his registration number. They all are in cohoots. So is the majority of the US Supreme Court; they have drank the kool aid. John Roberts is a traitor to the conservative cause. He can no longer call himself a conservative. He is a liberal and will always be known as one. For this reason, we must first regain control of the Senate and the Presidency. Then we must get rid of all RINOs. It is the only way our nation will survive. We also must insist that a better vetting process be developed for people nominated for the US Supreme Court. They must all be required to not only swear they will uphold the constitution, but once they do not uphold it, they must be removed.

Tell Steven King he can call over to Hawaii and ‘git her done’, which doesn’t make it so. So we know King can read a microfiche…but obviously finds it convenient to disregard a preponderance of evidence to the contrary. Why doesn’t he go look at the microfiche of the airline manifest for Stanley Dunhams travels during that period of time? He could do that any afternoon. King made his decision based SOLELY on a newspaper announcement onf Obama’s birth! Then, he goes on to say that it is impossible to have that put in a newspaper unless it actually happened! My father was a newspaper reporter and Editor for years after WWII and throught the 1950′s. An official notification from the hospital is NOT a requirement to have a birth announcement placed in a newspaper! King OBVIOUSLY disregarded the fact that Obama’s grandparents, both Communists, LIVED IN HAWAII when he was born and most likely placed the birth announcement in the Hawaiian newspaper when they found out that he was born………… in Kenya. I firmly believe that they changed the wording to make it APPEAR that he was born in Hawaii.
Why else would Obama spend MILLIONS of dollars on lawyers to keep his birth and school records hidden away? Doesn’t ANYBODY in Washington care that we have an ILLEGAL president????

Sheriff Joe covered that angle too, and after they found the birth certificate mill operating in Hawaii, it quickly and easily debunked that, showing how simple it would be for any one to put in an announcement any time they wanted to…it means nothing, and I believe Mr. King knows that too.
Steve King has been one of my favorites, but he just fell into the trash bin with the multitude of other useless congressmen.
It has been most disappointing to find so many of those I once respected to be so lacking in the basic courage it takes to step up and do the right thing. They talk the talk, and that walk? forget it!
At least the Democrats know and expect the lies, even depend on them. The newspapers reporting of Obama’s birth has been explained many times. Here is how the newspapers got the announcement information. Obama was born in Kenya (the modern name for the East African country) while Obama’s mother was visiting her lover’s home country in August 1961. While there she was unable to get back to Hawaii before she went into labor and Barack Hussein Soetero (Obama) was born. Obama’s maternal grand-mother went to the Honolulu Department of Health and certified that Obama was born in Hawaii and was issued a Registration of Birth. The Newspapers picked up on the Registration of Birth published by the Hawaiian Department of Health and placed the birth announcement in the newspaper. Back in 1961 anyone could get a Registration of Birth simply by filling out a declaration of birth. This is why the state of Hawaii has not produced a birth certificate on Obama. There is none on file. The only thing on file is the Registration of Birth which is entirely different from a birth certificate because it does not have the doctor’s name on the Registration of birth. So Congressman King is either ignorant of this, he is is trying to cover for Obama, or he is complying with the agreement between the Democrats and the Republicans pertaining to Obama’s birth certificate. We must ensure Obama is not re-elected or this issue will never be resolved.

As his comments further in the interview explain, he feels that this is not the hill to die on. Let’s work on getting Obama out of office in November, not rehashing the birther movement, which is a loser argument. Remember, in the end, defenders of Obama really do not care whether he was born here or not. Yes, I agree that in future, documentation must be provided and that is the good that has resulted from this whole incident. But don’t blame Steve King, for heaven’s sake!!!!

In the State of Hawaii, back in 1961, there were three different birth certificates that were obtainable:
a. If the birth was attended by a physician or mid wife, the attending medical professional was required to certify to the Department of Health the facts of the birth date, location, parents’ identities and other information. (See Section 57-8 & 9 of the Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii which was in effect in 1961).
b. In 1961, if a person was born in Hawaii but not attended by a physician or mid wife, then, up to the first birthday of the child, an adult could, upon testimony, file a “Delayed Certificate”, which required endorsement on the Delayed Certificate of a summary statement of the evidence submitted in support of the acceptance for delayed filing, which evidence must be kept in a special permanent file. The statute provided that the probative value of the Delayed Certificate must be determined by the judicial or administrative body or official before whom the certificate is offered as evidence. (See Section 57-18, 19 & 20 of the Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii which was in effect in 1961).
c. If a child born in Hawaii, for whom no physician or mid wife filed a certificate of live birth, and for whom no Delayed Certificate was filed before the first birthday, then a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth could be issued upon testimony of an adult including the subject person) if the Lieutenant Governor was satisfied that a person was born in Hawaii, provided that the person had attained the age of one year. (See Section 57-40 of the Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii which was in effect in 1961).
In 1982, the vital records law was amended to create a fourth kind of birth certificate for children born outside of the Territory or State of Hawaii. HRS Chapter 338 was amended to add a new section authorizing the Director of the Department of Health to issue a birth certificate for a person NOT born in Hawaii either as a Territory or State, upon sufficient proof that the legal parents of such individual had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth of such child.
21. The language of the statute clearly applies to births in the days of the Territory of Hawaii, so also births in 1961.
A baby born in another country could get a birth certificate in Hawaii.
@dfinch: If this is true then why does he not show his real birth certificate and why if he were born in Hawaii (after it became a part of the US) did he have to apply for college aid as a foreign student. Either way he has something to hide. If he was born in Kenya and moved to Hawaii right away he should have nothing to hide and if he wasn’t then he does. Detective Mike Zullo proved that many Japanese children that were actually born in Japanese had their birth announcements listed in Hawaii news papers so that those children could benefit as Obama did by not being born in Hawaii yet receive all of the benefits of an American citizen, which is why all birth certificates issued in Hawaii after 1955 are all considered to be “Prime Facie”, and completely worthless with-out supportive verifiable documentation. Senator Steve King needs to do what he expects the next president to do which is to honor their oath of office. He should start with himself and he already knows that should Obama be able to steal the election again that Obama won’t uphold his oath of office since he has not done so in his first term.

The Congress tried 8 times between 2003 and 2007 to change the Constitution to remove the Natural Born Citizen requirement. It failed all eight times. People should also contact each and every chief election official of the United States and the District of Columbia, copy to their respective attorneys general, to urge that Obama be barred from each presidential ballot unless he verifies not only his birth as a natural born American citizen but furnishes evidence he retained American citizenship in the face of Indonesian naturalization. There is only one conclusion that is logical and reasonable about the Media and Politicians not doing anything even though that their constituents are bombarding them with emails and letters. When Glenn Beck Got too Loud and was connecting with many people in the populace, they got Rupert Murdock to eliminate him and his show. I will copy King in on my letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Seeligson Smith, which I’m writing to test Smiths patriotism, rationality, and devotion to duty. One of the enclosures with my letter to Smith is an aide-memoire that is being send to every chief election official in the United States and the District of Columbia, which puts the matter in perspective. Steve King lies when he says there is insufficient time to deal with Obama’s ineligibility. This is typical of RINO members of Congress when dealing with their constituents on this matter. There is time to issue the requisite subpoenae for witnesses and documents, hold the necessary hearings and take appropriate action, if the RINOs are willing to do it, instead of continuing to suffer a Comintern mole in the White House. Congress could be called into special session if necessary to expedite the matter. If it’s not done, it will be proof positive that the RINOs have joined the Obama cabal. Delay is inexcusable. It is seditious. If we have elections this year, nobody should vote for any candidate, incumbent or otherwise, who has failed to advocate immediate and comprehensive official investigation of Obama. Immediate investigation will prove Obama eligible at birth, ineligible upon loss of American citizenship after he came of age.

There is insufficient publicly available information to prove the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama II (“Obama”) to the Office of President. Hence election officials are unable to make a rational determination whether to bar him or allow him onto their respective ballots. Absent competent evidence to verify eligibility, he should be barred from the electoral ballot.
On information and belief, Obama’s original birth certificate shows that he was constitutionally eligible at birth. Until the original is disclosed, however, his eligibility at birth is unverified. The “birth certificate” proffered by Obama on 27 April 2011 is based on a picture of his amended birth certificate, essentially a certificate of adoption, showing adoptive parents.
On information and belief, Obama was naturalized an Indonesian citizen in the 1960s. It won’t do any good to contact state election officials to keep Obama off the ballot if the election statutes of the various states do not allow for a challenge to presidential candidates. We have had a number of challenges in several states and each time the election officials say that Obama ‘qualifies’ to be on the ballot. Each time we are shocked and dismayed that the judges or election officials can ignore the obvious problems in Obama’s constitutional eligibility. None of the state officials or judges gave the reason of the state’s election statutes as the reason they insist Obama is qualified to be on the state’s ballot, but then, neither did AZ SOS Ken Bennett when he used obviously insufficient data and proof of data in stating Obama is eligible to appear on Arizona’s election ballot.

Arizona election statutes allow any AZ voter to challenge the qualifications of any candiate for elected office–EXCEPT presidential candidates. Although I haven’t looked up the election statutes of New Hampshire or George, or any other states in which challenges have been made, I wouldn’t be surprised if the same restriction applies in those and/or other state election statutes.
I tried to meet with AZ SOS Ken Bennett to discuss this and other election issues, but was refused an appointment with SOS Ken Bennett, as well as with his Assistant SOS. The Ass’t. SOS suggested I write a letter or email requesting information, but I have done that previously with no response, or even acknowledgement, from the SOS office. And, remember, AZ-SOS Ken Bennett is an elected official, who took the Oath of Office to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, and who has aspirations to run for Governor at the nest opportunity. I don’t think so.
I also haven’t had time yet to look up U.S. Voter and/or Election Acts that may be the ‘control’ for a state statutes, refusing challenges to a presidential candidate. If there is something in U.S. statutes that give complete authority to the political parties to name candidates–whether they ‘vet’ the candidate or not–then once again we see that our elected Representatives and Senators have betrayed the trust of the sovereign Authority of the citizens of the United States.
I can’t think of any reason whatsoever why any incumbent Represenative or Senator should expect–or even hope–to be reelected to positions of trust in any government (federal, state or local.)
I also do not understand why the Democratic Party has not been sued for presenting Obama as their Democratic candidate for President in 2008 and, now again, in 2012. Romney is using the trip overseas as a photo op. I understand that he’s also doing some fund raising, but I don’t necessarily see how his raising money for the LDS church is a problem. He’s got a little while before the convention, so he’s taking to time to look presidential. And, by he way, the alliance with Israel has to be reinforced at this stage – at a time when Obama is demonstrating his unworthiness. So let him be. Showing Israel that he cares provides him with ammunition to be able to claim the Jewish vote. It isn’t a huge number – only a couple of percentage points. Where it helps is with financing his campaign. Word is that traditionally Democratic Jewish donors are deserting Obama and the Democrats. It is also possile that he’ll get some more donations flowing into his own campaign – over time.

Come on. Pay attention. Why would ANY newspaper in this country in 1962 announce the birth of a black baby born to a mixed race couple. Get real.
Personally, I want OB IN JAIL for FRAUD and defrauding an entire country. I want him IN JAIL for pulling the largest fraud in history and ALL those who were involved whether they turned a blind eye or actively involved in jail with him. And I do mean ALL THOSE involved.
In listening to the whole thing, i really don’t think King’s answer is bad. He does pretty good job of acknowledging there remain serious concerns about Obama’s birth certificate and other background documents of his–he speaks very explicitly and credibly to those issues.
What King also says is that given the difficulty and expense of pursuing that as a primary Romney campaign strategy is probably not the best way to win the election, but rather to focus on Obama’s incredibly poor performance on both domestic and foreign affairs, issues that should resonate with almost all Americans.
I for one like King’s straightforward honesty and openness on this and other difficult issues.

In any case, you are exactly right! Mr King is about as honest and straightforward as anyone in Congress. (not a great reference, but it could be much worse.) He still sounds like he’s committed to the investigation of Obama. He just is a straight-shooter, and he’s telling us all that the fact is nothing is going to happen before the election – because nothing can happen before then. Almost everyone in the House is trying to get re-elected, and that will be their top priority. The media would demonize anyone who tried to hit on any of Obama’s credentials.

Obama gave Georgia two nuclear plants to stay on Georgia’s ballot. Georgia took them! How backward is that? Obama must be on the ballot in all 50 states or he can’t run. What is your state doing?

People should also contact each and every chief election official of the United States and the District of Columbia, copy to their respective attorneys general, to urge that Obama be barred from each presidential ballot unless he verifies not only his birth as a natural born American citizen but furnishes evidence he retained American citizenship in the face of Indonesian naturalization.
