Sheriff Cannon is MY Sheriff. My first Law Enforcement job was with Charleston County.
I worked with his Mother, who was a County Judge.
I agree with the Sheriff. If the law is un-Constitutional I would not follow it.
Think of the Nazi’s in Germany, who at the Nuremberg trials, stated they were just following orders. They were all guilty of the laws they enforced, which murdered millions.
I have asked officers lately, if they would fire on citizens if they did not hand over their guns, or take the citizens guns. The answer I have received is HELL NO! One said he would walk off the job, go home, and protect his family with ALL of his guns!

Sheriff Cannon is a straight shooter. Perfect no, but about as close as you can get.

OK. I must say I am unsure whether to laugh or cry at this. In either case, this is very disturbing.
On a first point. Thank you sheriff, for being a man who cares, a man with guts, a man I can respect. I am from S.C. You make me proud sir. I am sick of all of this, and this type of thinking.
Now as for this lady, who cares what her name is, what in the world did I just hear her say? Let me paraphrase that. “Do as you are told, do not question, who are you to question, just blindly follow all orders other tell you are constitutional – they can interpret it better than you sir.” Is that what I heard her say? I think so. Why is such a person even on television? Enough of this. We need to tell these folks to silence their tongues so we are no longer infected. My ears cannot take it. God have mercy on us. Now, I just wrote a piece from my heart on all this yesterday, and in it I said I hope to God we would have sheriffs like this in our state. I did not expect to blessed so soon. I may move to his county.
