A same-sex ceremony between a lesbian couple in the base chapel at Fort Polk in Louisiana has created a storm of controversy among conservative religious leaders and a growing number of lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
“The liberal social experiment with our military continues,” Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) told Fox News Radio. “A same-sex marriage-like ceremony should not have occurred at Fort Polk, especially since the people of Louisiana have made it abundantly clear that our state does not recognize same-sex marriages or civil unions.”
Fort Polk is in Fleming’s congressional district. The Fort Polk Public Affairs Office and the Army did not return numerous calls seeking comment.
The ceremony was conducted about three weeks ago by a chaplain for the Disciples of Christ, according to Ron Crews, executive director for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty.
“It was kept quiet,” Crews told Fox News Radio. He said the service was conducted in the military chapel, under the authorization of the chaplain’s denomination.

When in combat and there is a difficult order given that may result in loss of life do you think for even a moment that homosexual lovers will not hesitate to “protect” their partner any less than if a heteral sexual lover has to order their partner into harm’s way? It seriously jepardizes the mission, the personel and the chain of command therefore causing increased danger for the entire group. It is only human nature to protect the ones we love first and that is why it is forbidden for them to have relationships. Co-ed troops has never been a good idea just because of the natural attraction of men and women, especially 18-25 year old life support systems for reproductive organs. Young people are so horny (well so are older people too but not quite as horny) and it gets in the way of common sense.
It is bad having a queer President. Then he wants queers in the military. now queer marriages in the military is going too far! We are not going to reproduce with all the queers! Of course queers can adopt kids to try to influence them to make more queers!
I still don’t think the queer President is married to the witch in the White House. I have yet to see a marriage certificate! I have asked most news outlets. I think she is there for the people to think he is normal. You don’t see him doing anything with his daughters!

Are the Disciples of Christ proud as a denomination or not? Why was this done quietly? How are chaplains allowed to break the law without being disciplined? Is the new normal for Christians to disobey the law of the land just because they disagree with the law?
As a veteran who served in the military in Vietman I am very outraged about this matter. We are suppose to be serving and protecting this country from foreign and domestic enemies. DC comes to mind — queenie Obozo and his perverted queer supporters are a domestic enemy. As for gay marriages happening on federal property, quietly, it never should have happened. This should be grounds for impeachment for Obozo and the DemonRats. I know Bohner doesn’t have *alls enough to do this. So, it’s up to we, the people on Nov. 6 to vote his *ss out. Romney needs to void out Obozo’s presidency and not pardon him like Ford did Nixon. What gets me is the fact that queenie Obozo and his queer, perverted suppoters are FORCING their sick agenda down our throats. One example of the reason I retired when I did. The military is getting further and further away from being the disciplined organization it once was.
Example: This article, where it is AGAINST THE LAW IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, and the military flaunts breaking it.
Example: A muslim major throws a grenade and kills fellow soldiers and is not immediately shot for treason.
Example: A military man expresses his political views publicly (conservative, no less) and is discharged despite his right to freedom of expression as long as he is not actively engaged in political processes.
Example: The Constitution of the United States has been attacked and the military has NOT stepped in to defend the Constitution as is their sworn oath.
Need I go on?
Fleming was toast already – as soon as her re-election comes up – Now she is charcoal…No state that is against this should be made to allow this farce on military property or anywhere within the state. If this doesn’t say OBAMA MUST GO nothing does. The destruction of family will be fought by the united Americans to preserve the constitution….We are so tired of laws being backwards.
